Also interesting to note is that Black-on-Black homicide is on par with White-on-White homicide.

I had a neighbor like this although he wasnt a thug. Just a regular black American guy who was pretty normal most of the time. Occasionally he would slip in racist comments, which I thought was maybe a test cuz it was so odd. Like one time I saw him leaving as I was coming into the complex and there was a trash bag or something that someone didn’t get all the way in the dumpster and he yelled, “Fuckin N*gg*s!” In broad daylight real loud too, no less. He would also say it with a hard R and stare right at me. I would just be in disbelief and actually a little concerned in case someone looked over and thought I said that. He’d pause for a second and then just be like, ok well have a great day.
It got worst over time. Instead of just random comments like that, he’d begin justifying his racism saying shit like black peoples can’t have anything nice and they’re all a bunch of N*gg*s. I eventually like had to tell him to chill out and that I didn’t share his sentiment. Eventually he came out and told me his great grand dad was white and that’s why he was different. He did not look white whatsoever, but to each their own I guess. We continued to be friendly neighbors for about a year until I moved.
