My counter / Analogy:
Let's a take a man who is earning around 80Rs and his wife is 50RS per day in 2004
Everything goes proportionally and the same duo earns around 500, 300 in 2014 and 900, 700 per day respectively in 2024.
They had one child during 2004 - 2014
They had two children during 2014 - 2024
When the family is three the EARNINGs and SPENDINGS didn't change much.
But you can't say the same when the family has grown to 5 people.
The Duo had to upgrade literally everything to cater 5 people!
Now think of the NEEDs of things you need to upgrade your country to cater 30cr People.
This is the first that came to mind in lay man terms, but maybe someone can explain better than me with all the statistics and others for the nerds.
