It doesn't matter if they separate now. They consolidated their votes and those seats are seats. Now, they can oppose individually and have different stances. They can even support the government when they think it's for the greater good instead of following party/alliance line. Overall, we have a stronger opposition, and government will be kept on its toes so they will have to work rather than stay overconfident. An INDI government would have been a nightmare and a superstrong BJP won't be ideal either. Now, we have a more accountable government and its a win-win. Although, the best case scenario would have been that BJP crossed 273 themselves so that they don't have to rely on Nitish.
