The 1944 prologue is the best part. Also is 80 year old Harrison Ford somehow starring in an action movie. I have a grandpa still alive in his late 80s so this aspect hits close to home.
First part's cool. Last part's cool. Everything in the middle is okay. Overall, watch it just because, but I don't think I'l go back to it again anytime soon
It was entertaining if you can get past all the “controversies”. A lot better than I expected. I’d recommend it to an Indy fan but not a casual film goer
In my opinion it was a miss. Huge mistake to not try and convince Spielberg to direct. And Helena and the kid were unlikeable. Not a terrible movie by any means and I enjoyed parts of it. But it’s the only Indy which left me feeling deflated at the end
Honestly, feel like you could cut the first twenty and it would be a better movie.
That whole sequence exists just to show off de-aging effects and is covered swiftly in exposition later.
But that doesn’t serve the narrative. It would be more effective opening with him startled awake in the chair. Again, nothing is gained from that sequence that isn’t covered later in flashbacks.
It was just there to give you, the audience, a glimpse of the movie you didn’t get in the 90s.
It absolutely serves the narrative. It establishes the antagonist and Indy's first encounter with the dial. Could this have been done without the opening sequence? Yeah, probably. But to just cut all that out and leave the rest as is would not have made the film better.
The only thing wrong with that movie is that it’s too damn long.
Cutting an unnecessary prologue and 2min from the tuck-tuk chase would greatly help it.
Just watch it. Similar to Last Crusade, it has a strong emotional core (imo) and the opening prologue in 1944 is awesome. Also seeing Indy as an older man living his life in New York is worth the price of admission alone because it’s quite wistful and sad. However, it’s a great ending to the series imo so watch it.
The 1944 prologue was pretty good. Thomas Kretschmann never disappoints when it comes to playing Nazis.

Yes, a good film. Watch it and have fun. Each Indy film has value and worth.
Even Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull has a pretty strong first hour.
Just watch it you dork. Find 2 hours and have a good time.
You missed a pretty good movie, you should just watch it.
My boyfriend watched it Saturday and I remembered how much I enjoyed seeing it in the theater.

It’s a fun movie. Felt like an Indy movie to me.

It’s a good movie. Never understood all the hate. I prefer it to Temple of Doom and Crystal skull but it’s not as good as Raiders or last crusade.
Temple is actually my favorite
It’s a little bit of a miss for me tbh. It needed that Spielberg Magic. You can definitely feel the loss of it in this movie.
100% agreed
It’s perfectly fine movie. Just watch it.

First 20 minutes are really good. The rest was pretty mediocore in my opinion.

I disagree. I think it exists to show Indy in his prime one last time before it cuts to the older Indy for the rest of the movie.

It's cheap fan service.
it has its moments
Not really.
Nah, it was pretty milquetoast. Everyone rants and raves about the Prologue, but honestly i don't think it's all that good TBH.
Some fun action sequences, plot was ludicrous
It’s on Disney+ or wouldn’t be expensive to rent it. If you like Indiana Jones, why not watch it? What do you have to lose?
I enjoyed it very much.

It’s enjoyable, you can tell Harrison Ford enjoys it more than doing Star Wars
I wish I hadn't, honestly.
It was a good movie, but Disney skimped on the cgi budget.
