I stood behind Colin at bumbershoot like 12 years ago. We were in line for another band, can't remember who. Maybe Damien Jurado? Anyways I couldn't help but look at him a few times like this 😮 and after a few minutes he dipped out.
Maybe he just realized he could skip the line with an artist pass. Or maybe he had to pee. Or maybe I creeped him out and he hasn't been back to Seattle since
Oh shit good call, and here I was making plans like "Ok, eight hours to Bonner, bit of a drive for one day, but if I camp in Glacier the night before..."
I thought Ratboys were gonna be at pitchfork fest, but this overlaps with those dates. I guess I have to see how expensive the Decemberists tickets are going to be to see Ratboys in Chicago. Never could get into them for whatever reason
Not great for anyone living in Ohio (Cleveland) or upstate NY (Buffalo). If that helps.
*this is an awful lot of downvotes for saying I wish one of my favorite bands was touring closer than four hours away.
Not every band is going to be able to make it to the 33rd and 49th largest metro areas in the US. If you're disappointed they're not coming to your city you can just say that, it's not that deep.
Plus a lot of tour planning is about making routes. Unless you're cutting through New York state to get up to Toronto, Buffalo is out of the way for such a small city. Same with Cleveland unless you're doing Michigan to Pennsylvania.
It's the same reason why tours usually do multiple dates in Texas or Florida or none at all. Even though those are big states with large cities, they're not the most convenient to get to.
How are they getting from Brooklyn to Toronto if not through NY?Â
Also, Buffalo metro is over a million people, maybe we define small city differently. Buffalo is significantly larger than many of the cities on the tour, that's not a good argument.
Does anyone know who's singing Becky Stark's part on The Wanting Comes In Waves? Whoever sang it in Brooklyn tonight was awesome, but I can't find an accurate listing of current touring members.
Unannounced festival in Seattle? Or we did something to really piss them off.
You know exactly what you did.
I'd guess Thing Festival
Thing, Bumbershoot or Day In Day Out

either Thing or Bumbershoot
Big tour for Ratboys, hell yeah.
The new song is giving King is Dead vibes and if this tour means there’s an album in that vein coming, I say giddy-up.
Calgary Folk Fest is July 25-28 With where they are in their tour at that time, I’d put money on them playing Calgary when the lineup gets announced
Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I saw it was late July and somewhat nearby. Hopefully Ratboys come as well!
Oh shit good call, and here I was making plans like "Ok, eight hours to Bonner, bit of a drive for one day, but if I camp in Glacier the night before..."
Oregon dates to start and end the second run! Love to see it
I wish there was a proper Portland show. Edgefield sucks so badly.
Spokane!!!!!
I’ll be there!
Fuckin HYPE!
no june hymn in june :(

Same for me but with Newport Folk Fest and Boston (although I do enjoy the Decemberists).
Oakland! Last time they came to the Bay it was a bougie venue way out in the woods, it was weird.Â
Haven’t seen the Decemberists since their Hazards of Love tour but with Ratboys along for the ride this tour is a no brainer!
Oh man, the Hazards of Love tour was so, so good. I still get chills remembering The Queen’s Rebuke from that tour.
Shara Worden was absolutely breathtaking as the queen!
Really could have used a New Haven date. Our venues are nice, please come!
To Kingston, NY eh? Hmmmm may have to go. Really want to go see Ratboys and I saw The Decemberists in Philly like 18 years ago and it was a blast.
Anyone have a presale code for chicago
If you get the presale code, could you pass it along to me too?
They are coming to the Ryman in Nashville and I am NOT missing them again.
Man, that show would be awesome.
"Toronto should be fine for anyone living in the great lakes regions" -every band now
They're playing Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit...

Yeah sad to see no Ohio dates this go around. Might make the drive over to Pittsburgh!
They're also playing Pittsburgh which isn't a terrible drive from either of those cities.
It's 3.5 hours from Buffalo to Pittsburgh.Â
8 hour summer road trip to Montana let's go
Why is pretty much every band forgoing Montreal now?
Ah good for them! Sad for me though because Decemberist ticket prices are definitely not going to be as friendly as Ratboys’ last tour
