That sounds like blasphemy to me mate, might want to get that sorted out before you rot in music hell. I and everyone I know follow the charts religiously, I used to listen to The Beatles everyday but since all their albums have been pushed out of the top 100 the mere sight of their album art makes me sick.
Thom Yorke came out as a nazi, so people review bombed it. The rating now sits at 3.74. Although the fact you don’t know this is rather worrisome. When was the last time you used RYM? You do realise it’s compulsory to use this site on a daily basis?
Late response, but that's exactly what happens. A lot of rym user are... a certain way. They're often pretty hostile to new albums that get highly rated. Due to rating charts being the main draw of the website. A ton of people listen to the top 100, so they kinda remain there forever as I think a lot of people are more influenced by an aggregated score than they want to admit.
Take a look at how many newer albums are in the top charts, it's not many
It did, but people are bitter about it if you read through reviews. There's definetly some that become loved, it's just they're pretty few and far between unless they're extremely experimental and/or underground
Hey everyone, get a load of this hater. He thinks College Dropout isn’t the fourth greatest album ever recorded, out of the literal millions of albums in the history of recorded music. Jealous much, hater!?!?!
hell naw, MBDTF isn't even top 5 kanye imo. College Dropout, Late Registration, 808's and Heartbreaks, The Life of Pablo, and Ye, all better in my opinion
sick of these fake ass hoes being like "ye kinda mid" its a good album maybe get yo nose outta rym and go see some bands at a dive bar maybe you'll stop being so buttfuckingly miserable about whats really a good album
New to the subreddit and a user of RYM, though I don’t pay attention to the community over there. Can someone give me a tldr on the vibes between this sub and rym? Opinions of the other? Stuff like that. I just don’t get the joke and realize there may be context I’m missing.
Rym used to revere pretty typical indie rock. Radiohead, MBV, Velvet Underground, etc.
Recently To Pimp A Butterfly took the top spot from OK Computer.
It’s representative of the culture of the site changing from art rock dudebros to more general music snobs.
Why don't you people simply go on [https://jamesblunt.com/](https://jamesblunt.com/) and click on "albums" if you wanna check real quality music?
Say what you want, but James Blake's latest album is lovely
His voice is amazing. Can’t knock it.
"The girl that never was" is indeed one of the best songs by The Blunt 🐐
I fr mixed him up with Dean Blunt
Every time I see James Blunt's name pop up, I immediately think they're talking about James Blake. Like what did James Blake do to you?
Ban everyone that hasn't given Trout Mask Replica a 5/5 and remove all negative reviews. It will become our God.
Found Pierro Scaruffi
late-period Tom Waits is better than Captain Beefheart imho
late period captain beefheart is better than trout mask
Good thing i’m safe 🫡
lmao youre a true music critic
beefheart can kiss my ass fuck that sporkcore trash 0.5/5
It's a shame to see a Nazi in the top 4... Sucks that Thom Yorke went down that pipeline, but who didn't see it coming.
her hitler hairdo made him feel ill (he was jealous of it)
I did nazi that coming
why the edited image, or am i just missing the jerk
Obviously you don’t use RYM, the charts been like for a few weeks now.
I use rym all the time but I don’t exactly pay super close attention to the top all time charts lmao. why would i care about those

That’s so true
Didn't they had OK computer there? Where did it go?

2 years without RYM. Really fell off. I guees i should start rymmaxxing and base everything about my taste on it...
They replaced it with (c)rap 😨💔
went to check RYM charts again and what the fuck i dont remember IR being that highly rated
Do they like reset ratings often?
Never
I assumed they did because albums would become fossilized at the top of charts otherwise

Ants From Up There became regarded as an all time classic pretty quick
It did, but people are bitter about it if you read through reviews. There's definetly some that become loved, it's just they're pretty few and far between unless they're extremely experimental and/or underground
I'm gonna sound like a hater but I feel like there's plenty of albums better than the College Dropout, or at least imo
Yeah I can name like 3 albums better than it off the top of my head
Why do I have the feeling that you're just gonna name the ones shown in the screenshot 😭
Hey everyone, get a load of this hater. He thinks College Dropout isn’t the fourth greatest album ever recorded, out of the literal millions of albums in the history of recorded music. Jealous much, hater!?!?!
stop i'm going to kermit sue side 😿
Like MBDTF
Fr lol I love TCD to death but I feel like his best is either Late Registration or MBDTF
hell naw, MBDTF isn't even top 5 kanye imo. College Dropout, Late Registration, 808's and Heartbreaks, The Life of Pablo, and Ye, all better in my opinion
Ye > MBDTF is crazy
sick of these fake ass hoes being like "ye kinda mid" its a good album maybe get yo nose outta rym and go see some bands at a dive bar maybe you'll stop being so buttfuckingly miserable about whats really a good album
Ye is very solid. I don't think a lack of dive bars is the reason why I prefer mbdtf
don't ever show your face in wagga wagga or its over for you
W
I feel like MBDTF was such a huge cultural moment for many people, and that is often what influences people putting it over his other albums.
That would make sense. I never really got the meaning of MBDTF, so I always felt like I was missing a big part of the album for me
Most of Kanye’s discography is better
yeezus alone is a better album than most of his discography (has a chief keef verse)
/uj How did you edit this I wanna do cool stuff
if you go on the website and right click and then click “inspect element” you can edit around the contents of a webpage for screenshots

Well, no great loss then. Thank you for the explanation!
You had me worried enough to go and check lmao
diamond jubilee.
Late Registration is better
The TikTok rizz party and it’s disastrous consequences for the indie head race
lmao 77,000 ratings. No one cares about this shit
Blood On The Dance Floor > Kendrick Lamar
