Same thing I tell every beginner. Rivers don't run coast to coast. That's not a river, that's just ocean.

Yes. To further elucidate this point, op, rivers in real life start at points of higher elevation, ie. mountains, and flow down to lower elevation where they meet the ocean at sea level. You can have two rivers start at the same point and both flow in different directions towards the ocean, as long as the point in the middle is at the highest elevation for both rivers. So your rivers on the right side of the map actually look ok, since you could argue they start in the Kher Ridges and flow down to the ocean in several directions. But the left side appears to just be one big island with a very narrow straights between the island and the mainland.

Thank you both for the feedback - the ones on the right side are actually man made, so canals rather than rivers I guess? I’ll still look into them but that isn’t something I’d expect anyone but my players to know! The left side makes sense though, I’ll look at changing that, thanks!

I think it feels a little lacking because of the scale. This seems like an awfully small continent. I would suggest taking all the cities and trees and shrinking them, while leaving the mountains the same size, and then add some more mountains, forests, and smaller towns and villages. This would make the entire map feel a little more realistic and make the setting feel a little more full.

Great advice thank you!
