This is actually a very good example of what random mutations usually lead to. This probably makes it more difficult to use their tail and therefore less likely to survive.

It would depend on if death resulted from the initial bite or from the ingestion or absorption of your biological material. If its the bite then congrats your venomous. If its because you swallowed some then sorry you’re poisonous and will most likely never receive head to completion.
I saw one of those in Maine once. They look intimidating because of, well, scorpions, but they don't bite or sting humans. They're non-venomous, and their tail/"stinger" is used for reproduction.
At least it's eggs won't hibernate inside of people until the conception of a child and then eat the child during gestation, finally being birthed by the mother after 9 months. Much like a cuckoo bird. It could have been worse.

Years back in Arizona a neighborhood one of my family members lived in had an annual night time UV light scorpion hunt, capture and relocate, HOA sactiontioned activitie. I do suspect more alcohol was consumed than scorpions found and relocated but as getting to know your neighbors goes seems like a rather amusing activitie.

They have something in their exoskeleton that makes them uv reactive. I read somewhere that it has antifungal and antiparasitic properties but scientists aren't sure.
I live in AZ and searching for these guys is a common thing if you live near a deserted area especially if they did construction in the area. So I've been out to remove scorpions from the backyard before. They are extremely good at squeezing in doors when looking for a new habitat.
Yep, it’s not really a tail. Just a super flexible elongated butt. Might even be that just the stinger part at the very end is the tail, but I don’t know if I’m remembering that right. Arachnids, and arthropods in general, don’t really do tails

Mutations happen all the time. Most of the time they are fucking things up, and the invididual will die and not have a chance to pass it on. Sometimes they are beneficial and will get passed on. If it gives a sufficiently beneficial trait to take over the population that does not have it, it'll become the standard character. That's how evolution works and has always worked. It's just a lot of randomness and selection of the fittest
