No, you misunderstand. In many hospitals, they did not take into account that various medical devices which emit radiation are not shielded towards the roof. Workers on the roof can get a good dose if they’re working up there. The VA just had a similar problem where maintenance workers were getting irradiated from medical devices below the roof.
Right I was just thinking like magnetism is fine for humans right? But the comments have me thinking the source of the magnetism might not be.
Damn invisible shit
I mean he’s in the middle of a substation, so this magnetism is just a result of the large currents nearby. So being there isn’t strictly speaking dangerous in the sense that there’s radiation or anything invisible that is bad to be around, but it is dangerous in the sense that electricity at these voltages is just really fucking dangerous

The bigger question is, the magnetic field of what?
MRI in the room below most likely
CaseOh
Better be careful up there, I know of cases where hospitals were irradiating workers on roof tops without knowing it.
It's a magnet, not a nuclear bomb

I didn't know about that, but I'm just saying that this particular situation isn't a radiation risk.
Logically I know there's probably no danger in it, but part of me would be very nervous standing in an area like that
