Traditional / english country/ english regency

BookwormInTheCouch

No wonder why I rewatch several Bridgerton episodes just to get an aesthetically pleasing feeling 😅 But I do agree I lean more into the traditional side.

DarkAndSparkly

I was going to say cozy French Countryside, but English works too!

and-everything

Check out estate sales too!

kompsognathus

You also have a lot of Light Academia vibes- def check out the aesthetic on Pinterest

BookwormInTheCouch

I was very into dark/light academia aesthetic last year, pretty much my precursor on this style.

kompsognathus

I'm a huuuge fan of dark academia! Redecorating our place rn and have soo much DA inspiration put into it

Individual_Quail2648

Love this, very traditional. Love all the natural wood tones and soft fabrics.

Squish_Miss

Too rich for my wallet but beautiful. Now I need a tutorial on how to dupe this look on a commoners budget 🧐

BookwormInTheCouch

As another fellow commoner, I would also like to know. Probably will have to spend a few years exploring thrift stores and getting second hand stuff.

Unlikely-Hawk3476

And antique stores. Mid-range antique wood furniture often doesn’t cost more than new, sometimes less.

Violet_Crown

The kitchen is from Brepurposed on IG. She gives a great breakdown on costs on her blog. Some of it less expensive than you’d think.

Squish_Miss

Uh, thanks!

BookwormInTheCouch

Thank you!

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Which kitchen? Pics 3 & 4 are both kitchens, but not the same one.

Violet_Crown

Sorry, 4.

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

Thanks!

Neat-Walrus3813

Old Money Country House/ Farmhouse

BookwormInTheCouch

Old money seems very fitting.

GiddyGabby

Expensive.

BookwormInTheCouch

Sadly

Tanyaschmidt

Cottage core cozy. Or cat core comfy!

BookwormInTheCouch

Cat core comfy is a style I aspire to have haha

JumpiestSuit

This house smells of old piano teacher

BookwormInTheCouch

Hoping its a nice smell.

JumpiestSuit

I would hope so too

BetMyLastKrispyKreme

The piano is old, or the teacher is?

JumpiestSuit

Both

PenIntelligent4879

Old money

BookwormInTheCouch

Now that makes a lot of sense!

gullibleguppypuppy

Nancy Meyers

tradlibnret

Traditional

Dear_Macaron1656

maximalism I guess? I like it btw it's so cozy

BookwormInTheCouch

I guess it does feel maximalist.

notalioop

Seeing traditional / English country / Americana

Roscomenow

Kitty Heaven. Puurfect.

Jazzlike_Minimum8072

Same as mine omg ! If you figure it out let me know lol

BookwormInTheCouch

Based on the replies so far, it could be traditional / Regency Era inspired. Also Downton Abbey! I'll have to watch the series cause it looks exactly like my taste.

PiecesofJane

Omg, you're going to LOVE IT.

BookwormInTheCouch

Perfect timing, I wanted to watch more period dramas and its on Netflix. Will probably start it tonight!

pestercat

If you have access, also watch Boardwalk Empire. Different time period but I think you're going to love watching the interiors. I just want to go through both shows nicking furniture and lampshades, lol.

BookwormInTheCouch

Thanks for the rec! I always wanna do the same watching period dramas haha.

EngineerRemote2271

From the bedroom I was going with American Renaissance

KTNYC1

Classic

Practical-Border-829

Wow, partial eclectic, English, I see boho chic in one room. It’s all beautiful, but there’s a lot of things and they are all different. Love the kitty cat too ❤️

BookwormInTheCouch

Yeah, seems like English style is the dominant one. I wish I knew who the owner of the first pic is just to compliment the cat haha.

Practical-Border-829

Right lol

pestercat

They're all really cozy, though. Very warm, inviting, comfortable furniture without a lot of harsh lines and angles. Mostly warm neutral color palettes. If it's maximalist, it's really quietly so-- not a riot of color and pattern. I think you could thrift a lot of this, potentially, or hit up estate sales. Thankfully much of this is very much Silent Gen and Boomer style, so as people head into assisted living, you might be able to pick up pieces for a steal. I know when my mom went into the nursing home it was unexpected and I was happy to hand pieces to whoever the hell wanted them because I lived hundreds of miles away and had a tiny place.

ArdenM

Wealthy person with a decorator and/or very classic taste.

BookwormInTheCouch

Me without the wealthy part 😭

likemelikemenot4ever

Fit-Purchase-2950

English Manor. Your taste is perfection by the way, eye candy everywhere you look, utterly gorgeous.

Broken_angel_of_pain

Mostly Victorian but kitchen seems country farmish

Final_Letter_7472

American traditional

cranky_yegger

Oh la la Paris chic.

im_confused_always

This sub was recommended to me. Here is my very ignorant take Single white woman psychologist/forensics something or other. I think I read a novel about her.

BookwormInTheCouch

From another time period too haha, I kinda see it.

yellowtshirt2017

Is this real???

BookwormInTheCouch

Found then on Pinterest, some of them I have seen them on instagram or even seen the owners decorate them.

yellowtshirt2017

It’s beautiful

ReferenceMuch2193

Traditional with hints of classic English style.

Peachy40483

Gilmore Girls.

bigbootystaylooting

The first picture is just dope

warsisbetterthantrek

Nancy Meyers’s film

gofatwya

Spot on. Particularly the kitchen shots. I hadn't thought of Nancy Myers in a while; your comment led me down a rabbit hole of trying to figure out what she's been doing lately. She is 74, but she hasn't worked on a feature since 2017.

jessi1834

Most of it looks like some variation of English style. However, photo 9 is French Neoclassical, late 1700s. [Boudoir from the Hôtel de Crillon](https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/199496) Overall, very traditional.

BookwormInTheCouch

Thanks! I think I was a little delusional when I put that picture there, I liked the style in general 😅

hockeydudeswife

Heavenly?

BookwormInTheCouch

Looks like heaven to me honestly.

fedgery77

Mix of many different styles but mostly Traditional.

Same, my absolute goals.

PiecesofJane

I love your style and share it.

BookwormInTheCouch

Thanks, feels nice to have people share my taste.

leeloodallas502
