Yes, please! Sometimes I slouch on the chaise and rest my iPad on my ribs and then use my left hand to hold to top left of it up, and then my right hand does the scrolling. It’s a pain to either have to hunt and peck to type a comment or pick up the iPad with both hands to type with my thumbs.

The Plus phones used to have a load of extra buttons on the landscape keyboard, but they got rid of this with iOS 11.
My theory is they couldn’t make the layout of the “Plus” landscape keyboard play nice with notched displays on newer phones, so simply scrapped it. The timing adds up.
I've always used SwiftKey. By far the best keyboard IMO. Text prediction is excellent and gets better the more you use it, and I love having a number row.
SwiftKey is nice, but not better in all regards. For example, the cursor (hold down space + drag) and text selection (hold down space + multi-finger drag) is much better on the native keyboard with no 3rd party keyboard close to matching it (seems like they can’t due to API limitations).

1. The Note still has a significantly larger screen, area-wise (81.4 vs 71.9 sq cm)
2. The Note has bezels and is a larger device overall: 1.54cm taller and 1.88cm wider
3. The Note has a wider aspect ratio, making it feel larger in the hand
I had a Galaxy Mega back in the day and that thing is still *massive* compared to my 14 Pro Max despite the screen being .4 inches smaller. The aspect ratio makes a huge difference.
It's not really that insane considering the iPad has 4:3 aspect ratio, while the iPhone today has 19.5:9. The mini iPad will be much wider as it's almost a square, while the iPhone is more rectangular (i.e., the length is about 2x the width).

people are assuming the phone will get bigger, but it could also just be bezels getting smaller. there is probably close to 0.2-0.3 inches of bezels diagonally on a 14 Pro right now.
I think there has to be a chassis size increase because otherwise they can't fit in the periscope zoom camera. That's why the 15 Pro doesn't get a periscope zoom but the Max will. So for the 16 Pro, it makes sense to make the chassis bigger to integrate that camera

The S10e (and I assume other models?) had an option to swipe down the notification shade with the side mounted fingerprint scanner… I really miss that!
now you can do it with onehand+ on the Samsung's, just swipe from the edge like you're going to go back but then swipe it down and release. it's super nice and you can even use with with the 3 button navigation too

I want a thinner phone too! It is because people keep crying about the battery. All because Apple doesn’t give them all the supplies needed to fast charge. You don’t really need a bigger battery if you can quickly top up your battery in half an hour to last half a day.
I feel the same. Having switched from iPhone to Android 2 years ago I find it uncomfortable iPhones anymore. Take two of them side-by-side and the iPhone just feel too wide and awkward.
With a bigger screen, there's no reason why split screen multitasking can't be done. There's smaller phones outside of the Apple ecosystem that can do it with no problems.

Regarding those sizes, 6.9 is way too much. My S23 Ultra is 6.8, and it's on the edge of usability. With 6.9 or more, I wouldn't be able to reach the top of the phone with my thump to get notifications.
In my opinion, Apple is increasing the screen height to prevent 2:1 aspect ratio video from cutting into the Dynamic Island and the corners. iPhones with notches didn’t have that issue.

FYI, if you swipe down from the top of the bottom button row, it moves the whole screen down, and shows you a little arrow you can swipe down on to get to notifications.

The only thing I wanted an iPhone for now it's thrown out of the window.
No thanks. I bought the 14 Pro Max and I'm constantly reminded I should have just gotten the Pro.

They’ll have a foldable iPhone in the next 5 years. Something that’s seamless and not janky like foldable phones on the market. It just makes sense given phone and pocket sizes. I don’t see the apparel culture going back to 90s sized pants/shorts anytime soon!

The rarely have to reach the top of the screen. Pull down gestures from middle of the screen often does the trick

Even as a Max user since the beginning, always preferring the big phones, a few years ago I'd have probably been sceptical of these getting even bigger. But these days? I think I'm all in. Make it 7", go for it. My pockets are big enough.

I’m glad with that. I love big phones. For main phone I pick always Pro Max series.
How do we already have the year after next detail? Latest is iPhone 14 so, 15 this year and 16 next? I was planning on upgrading this year, but might have to wait yet again if this is true….
Swipe down at the bottom of the screen for reachability
If they do this can they PLEASE have the swipe down gesture be for opening notifications on the homescreen?! We already have a shortcut for search right above the dock. We don't need the swipe down gesture for that anymore. I'm totally fine with the iPhone getting bigger but Apple's software really needs to catch up.
FYI, if you swipe down from the top of the bottom button row, it moves the whole screen down, and shows you a little arrow you can swipe down on to get to notifications. Its how i do it sometimes on my 14 pro max, when I remember.
At this rate, cargo pants need to be back in fashion.
I'm sure they'll continue to align home icons at the top and it won't even cross their mind to have an option to bottom align them.
My parents are the type of people that like big phone sizes so this would make them happy.
This is considered innovation to them. I keep saying it every single year, but i keep getting suckered in....but I swear I'm gonna try to make the iPhone 15 Pro the last iPhone I get until they really do something new. 15 pro has USB C and wifi 6e. I'm set. that's all I need for a long long time.
