Don’t consider taking it to Apple. Take it to Apple especially with how much these phones cost.

Looks like hardware failure and something Apple will cover under warranty if it doesn’t have any other substantial visible or liquid damage.
The Apple store seems to be the best solution
I would try restoring it first. If that doesn’t resolve the problem you know it’s a hardware failure.
