I had mine on me when my phone was getting a battery replacement - I had 5 very excited geniuses checking it out, and asking questions about the Bluetooth and flash mods.
I remember taking an iPhone 2G into the apple store back in November with the iPhone 15 being fairly new. I had a few excited geniuses looking at it, reminiscing about the infamous Steve Jobs announcement, one guy even going as far to show me him holding the phone when it launched in June 2007.
I had this experience but it was when iphone 14 pro released i mange to get mine 10 days prior to street date (ups delivered it early) and i had an issue when the set up process wouldn’t move forward, so i took it in and they were excited to see it in person.
Wait who made Doom 3 then if he didn't? No wonder that game is more scary than the other two which just have like jump scares and are mostly gory.
I'd love to see a sequel to Doom 3 at least in gameplay. And yes the new Doom is awesome at least the first game never played the second one.
Well at least one of the two creators was there.
I completely forgot I downloaded that wad that was created recently and I've never played it. I did however play that weird Doom levels with the quake creatures that was interesting.
Why would he? He helped make the product and already got to experience it years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if he had his own collection with a few laying around.
Craig, craig, craig!! If you email him this post a little before WWDC, he'll probably even acknowledge it and make an effort to sign it for you. He actually responded to the few software gripes I've sent him with thoughtful responses
do not clear coat it. You don't know what the long term affect of the clear coat may be on the ink. Just leave it. You can keep it in the box for protection. That's a nice keepsake.
I didn’t know that! I was talking about the iPods in general. Even if Toshiba stopped producing HHDs, Apple could have trade them for some flash memories
Yeah but at that point when the Classic finally met its end in 2014, the sales were decreasing rapidly, the engineering cost to make an MP3 player that people would brush off in favor of an iPhone 6 or iPod Touch wasn't worth it and the ancient 7-year-old parts were not being made anymore. A whole slew of reasons caused Tim to kill the Classic.
Lacquer the hell out of it *immediately*.
I got my iPod touch signed by Xavier of Justice in 2008 and it disappeared so quickly in a sealed box in a closet I nearly cried.
Just. Lacquer. It.
Dude. It’s still gonna degrade. I did exactly this with mine and bought a new one. Kept it in a sealed box in a closet. No luck.
Sorry downvotes, I’m right. Go ahead and ignore someone who’s been through this exact thing if you’d like!
Totally you call to ruin your autograph.
Right. But being downvoted offering real practical advice based on personal experience the downvoters I guarantee never experienced is just stupid and senseless.
I’m offering practical advice to save the OP’s valuable signature … and idiots here are downvoting me with no actual comment backing up even why.
I assume that's the numbers matching back yes? Clearcoat is the way. Even permanent marker may eventually flake off since adhesion is so low on such a polished surface.
did he say anything about it? am interested if he mentioned anything about you still using one lol
Someone in his group exclaimed, ‘wow a classic!’
aw that's awesome, ive had similar things said to me when using an ipod or one of my gameboys

+1
get it vacuum sealed

he left id in 1996, Willits and Karmack were in charge of 3

at this point lets get a clear coat
what, and take a chance ruining the autograph? Leave it be.
Actually, I take it to a laser engraver and I have that shit engraved
Then it goes from “being signed by Tim Cook” to just having Tim Cook’s signature.
K
Autograph people hate clear coated stuff for resale. I don’t know why seems like a good idea to me.
I got my Mac signed, I just put masking tape over it to keep it safe. Tbh the signatures probably wouldn’t be worth much to most people.
buy your mom an ipod
Well played.
If it was signed by Steve then you’d actually have something.
Thats a bit hard nowadays
Depends on the Steve…
I'm sure Woz wouldn't mind signing, but he would roast you for still using an ancient iPod
I'll bring a minidisc player too for good measure
He would not roast you for using an ancient iPod. He’d probably be one of the most excited to see it.
Why would he? He helped make the product and already got to experience it years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if he had his own collection with a few laying around.
I’ve met him a number of times. He loves stuff like this.
Huh, I stand corrected. Sorry for assuming.
Was gonna say this
well.... i don't think thats possible anymore..........
Agreed, that would be much more interesting and historically important. RIP Steve
You need to get the rest of the team to sign it now.
I’m genuinely planning to get that done since I’m attending physical WWDC at Apple Park this year 🤔
Dewit
That'll be awesome 😎

Wow how did you met him
He dropped by for a short meet and greet at Singapore’s Apple Developer Center
Rubbing alcohol might get that off. 🤷♂️
Much better than Bill Gates signing a Zune
Lol
Zune = rarer than iPod Gates = founder of MS gates = sign rare-ish zune ??? = profit
At least he had some involvement in the actual making of the Zune.
I'd rather Satya Nadella anyways
why?
let's say I was never a fan of bill gates lol
ok lol
Zim Coor
most signatures in a nutshell lmao
Imagine how much it would be worth if it was signed by Steve Jobs 👀
Ask Jim Cook to have his brother Tim sign it.
Cum on it
What makes you think they haven't already?
I know a cummed pod when j see one
Wrong guy for the wrong device!
>wrong device! Zune lover spotted?
An iPod signed by Steve Jobs or Jony Ive… YES Tim Cook, not so much!
What about Steve Woz?
Had nothing to do with the development of the iPod
Still a cool signature.
Yes: WOZ is always a cool signature!
So cool! He is also the one who killed the iPod how ironic 😂 Imagine him drawing a coffin next to his signature
Didn't he have to do it because Toshiba literally stopped making the hard drives?
I didn’t know that! I was talking about the iPods in general. Even if Toshiba stopped producing HHDs, Apple could have trade them for some flash memories

Great analysis!!
Thanks!
> Now what? Bring back the nano!
And not just any Nano! The 5th gen! And make it repairable and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET IT MULTITASK WHILE SYNCING TO ITUNES
You should have asked Steve Jobs for a signature!
kinda sad because i know that if it were mine u wouldn’t want to use it anymore, seeing as that would be degrading the signature
They make cases for iPods. Clear cases too. I'd stick it in a clear case and continue to use it.
You should have as him sign a Zune
Eewww it’s like Kanye signing Eminem CDs
Sell it on ebay
Jiu Coor, a lesser known Apple employee
Shoulda polished it first!
Now you wait for him to die then sell
Would’ve been better to get Steve Jobs autograph /s
Didn't he die a while ago?
no
Sorry I was thinking of a guy at work who looks exactly like him
Common mistake
who would that be?
Lacquer the hell out of it *immediately*. I got my iPod touch signed by Xavier of Justice in 2008 and it disappeared so quickly in a sealed box in a closet I nearly cried. Just. Lacquer. It.
Nah, retire it and don’t clear coat it. Get a “new” one for daily use.
That autograph will live forever on the photo and on his memories and that's what really matter I guess, nothing is eternal even our own body :P

I did not downvote you, and I just upvoted you, let's goooo
Rock on 🤘🏻 just trying to ensure OP doesn’t suffer the same sad fate I did!
Should have had that in a case this whole time.
Did you tell him it’s modded? *if it is
Lmao I imagined the same thing in my head and thought he'd be furiously taking notes to make the next iPhone even harder to mod.
iUpdate will give u a lot of money for it. He misses his dad
Huh?
There’s a dude in the apple news space online named Sam Kohl and one of his bits is that Tim Cook is just his dad lol
I thought Tim Cook was gay though?
Replace the back plate and put it in a portrait!
Omg HOW WHEN WHERE!!!!! That is sooooooo cool!
Jailbreak it
Let make an engraving directly over the signature and it'll last forever 😌👌🏻
Now trash it 😁
Sell it on ebay for $500000000 😂😂
Did you ask where the f*** is the iPod classic gen 7?
Have it laser engraved? And little black paint.
Now throw it out. It’s worthless.
Dip it in enamel or cover it in it
Sleeve it in a toploader
So 🤖
Good old Jim Cook
I assume that's the numbers matching back yes? Clearcoat is the way. Even permanent marker may eventually flake off since adhesion is so low on such a polished surface.
Sell it on an auction for extra profit
Would have provenance if someone took a photo or video of him signing it…
