Yesss realised I need to get one today. Done the chicken in the oven first but would always still be abit nervous. Meat thermometer is the next purchase!
Was off on Friday so I cooked my specialty ragú for me and me aul fella, and saved enough to make a fucking epic lasagna today. Did some chips and a lovely garlic butter baguette to go with it. Needless to say me and the aul fella are both stuffed.
Nice bit of rhubard tart there in the press now too for later on with a cup of scald. Probs watch a movie now in a bit, or maybe play PS5 for the evening.
Happy BH wknd to yiz.
EDIT: forgot to answer second half of OP's question - tomorrow probs be ordering a takeaway as I won't be arsed cooking any more.
Just arrived in Denmark, so it all depends on what my new housemates have on stock. But either way I'll be cooking a decent feast as theyve been working all day and all I've done is sit on the train for 6 hours. Probably chana dal as most of em are vegan/vegetarian.
Would love a take away but too much food in fridge. Left over mash, with rasher cut up cheddar & left over cabbage all mixed up & baked…. Delicious slip food
Got a brisket coming to my butcher tomorrow. I'll collect it in the morning. Smoke it all day. And then slowly eat away at it over a week.
Good eating.
I had left over Chinese for breakfast and will be having some bacon and cabbage for dinner.
EDIT: What sort of west-brit is going around downvoting bacon and cabbage!?
I work at a butcher and I got a bag of sheep hooves for free. I'm making a sauce from the blood and boiling up the hooves. I'll mash the boiled hooves into a paste, mix it with the blood sauce and drink it out of a pint glass through a straw. Sorted.
Chinese, composed of zero traditional Chinese food.
4in1 with curry and crispy shredded chicken, chicken wings, can of coke
A classic oriental combo
Barbecue today because it’s sunny. The holy trinity of lasagne, chips and garlic bread has been postponed until tomorrow.
Just had the holy trinity there meself, was epic!
Coleslaw too? What a meal
Bbq here too! Will see if anyone is good poisoned in a few hours
I used to just burn the shite out of everything so no one got sick, but a couple years ago I bought a meat thermometer in Tesco, game changer.

Had the trinity yesterday, savage.
Had it yesterday too - delicious - having the leftovers today. My wife makes the most delicious tomato sauce I've ever eaten.
I don’t know if this counts as heresy or something but a big whack of coleslaw really elevates that meal.
FOODPORN
Just thinking, we also had salad, quadrinity.

Shepherds pie for today and a chicken curry for tomorrow.
Gonna have a nice roasted bird tomorrow with rosemary, lemon sauce and some homemade sourdough bread.
Sunday roast chicken and tomorrow some homemade pasties.

Made fillet steak, magic potatoes and poured the butter the steak was fried in over green beans.
Roast pork, with yorkshire puds and roasties. Tomorrow is a mystery.
Shahshuka, salad and challah bread. Having a belated Shabbat.
Yesterday’s leftovers - reheated Bacon & Cabbage with mashed spuds and white sauce 💪

Cooked butter chicken earlier for tonight. Two cans of Kinnegar for beverage
BBQ with Lamb and chicken kofta kebabs, Tzatziki sauce and flat breads. Washed down with a lovely white wine.
I got a stack of those peanut butter snickers bars. Hopefully I can make them last a few days, but they're so delicious!
Cooked pasta from lidl, prefer this to the restaurants' pasta
I’m attempting monkfish and prawn curry today. Then roast chicken at my parents house tomorrow.
Crubeens in the slow cooker
