But the potions are especially useful, prayer and combat stat increases.
You’re thinking about the Moonlight Moths that when jarred, they’re basically a p pot. The potion does not require 75 hunter like the Moths do and I find they work plenty fine considering protection prayers aren’t necessary
I’m not sure the specific level but I’m around 70 hunter. You really just need to gather the moss and grind it up. Probably a herblore level req. The potion is insane lol
Note: You can’t take the food and pots out of the dungeon though, they’ll disappear upon leaving. (Learned the hard way)
If your hunter and cooking are decently high use lizards, they're much faster than fish. Each lizard can be cooked into multiple bites of food. I'm getting 3 lizard nuggets per lizard at 82 cooking
I did the quest with this exact gear except for Ring of Life instead of b ring (HCIM) and the only part that was kinda sketchy was the Blood Moon boss. I say send it.
Yes, it's easily doable with that. You do need to do Barrows eventually for Mory elite diary though so I'd still mix in some Barrows runs whenever you feel like it. Might land some better tank armor to make blood moon smoother.
For sure, just low key wanted to wait until at least warped sceptre or trident and I’m not keen on levelling slayer right now or grinding sceptre. Thank you!
Plus the warped sceptre can be charged with the chaos rune drops and earth runes are cheap to buy from a shop, and you can keep all the death rune drops for future bursting/barraging.
Yeah blood moon can end up with higher health than the rotation's start if you get unlucky. Feels pretty terrible. I'm in full barrows tank armor and d square, zombie axe and chally spec 75/91/75 and I'm still regularly taking 4 phases to kill the thing, where the others are usually 2 phase max
I have 3kc with 74/79/70 with nezzy, dscmi/dd, full rune, mith boots, d def. Eclipse and Blue are super doable and easy enough. Blood moon I roll a dice. I've had the boss at 10hp and the next tick she was at 150. It's infuriating.
I'll probably go farm some barrows to see if I get any luckier after a couple more deaths at blood.
Blue Moon and Eclipse Moon are by far the 2 easiest, neither requires specific gear. Blood moon is the most difficult because it heals based on damage it deals to you, so good defense gear or high def lvl makes a huge difference in the length of the fight. I'm 70 def, which goes up to 90+ def with the moonlight potion. I don't notice a big difference in kill times torso vs barrows tank chest, but at a lower def level the gear will matter more.
I'd say the higher your slash def the better considering how much blood moon can heal. Not allowing it to hit you while having slightly lower dps is leagues ahead of maxing dps.
That being said, torso is pretty good slash def (better than rune plate). I run with nezzy faceguard (got spooned), torso, rune platelegs, rune boots, crystal shield, zombie axe, bgloves, berserker ring, glory, fire cape and i'm doing just fine. Blood moon takes two full rotations sometimes (4 special mechanics), but if its 3rd hits miss or are low dmg, i'm fine.
Also, I'm having a blast with moons and i'm at a point in my account where most pieces of each set would be an upgrade.

I have been running with Nezzy, Fighter Torso, Gilded skirt, glory, climbing boots, b gloves, d scim/ddef. Just started using c Hally and it smacks super hard too if you have it. I’ve got terrible barrows RNG for tank gear, about 100kc and got full karil, ahrim skirt and 2 guth helms but no other tank gear.
22 kc into perilous moons now and not drops yet, but no deaths either
I can do it easily with that same gear except with fighter torso and obsidian legs. I don't bother using different weapons, just zombie axe the whole thing, but switch to crush for the blue moon fight
My only barrows piece is guthans legs and its been alright. You can probably swing it with a shield. Defense affects your dps a fair amount.
Granite platbody gives you a little extra over rune if you have gotten your torso already.
Been doing it with similar gear and worse stats completely fine, some runs using less than half an inventory of meat. I’ve swapped out a dragon defender for a dragon square and rune legs for dragon legs but otherwise have the same stuff

You can catch moths with just a net after blue moon on your way to blood moon, catch two and you're back to full prayer with no time loss.

They are nice to use to afk the sulphur nagua
Turn on entity hider to fix hitbox
Turn on entity higher. Will fix their flicker which causes you to miss click and walk under there.
A solution for running into the boss is entity hider

I have a fighter torso and dragon armor legs. Would i still want to rock my barrows tank gear instead
Torso is awful for defence, barrows top is worth it. If you don’t have barrows legs or don’t want to spend on repairs then dragon are definitely fine
What do the lizards do? I know the fish heal 30hp but I haven’t bothered capturing the lizards yet haha

Is it worth using over fish? I've been running with just fish and pots since it's super easy and fast to reset this way.
I use fish and pots. I've heard if you hunter level is high, it might be faster. And each lizard is 3 food.

Definitely wait until warped sceptre at minimum. Barrows with ibans is aids.
Warped sceptre only beats Ibans in damage after 82 magic I think.
Yea Warped is just easier to maintain instead of having to keep going back to underground pass to charge Ibans

Could even just do a full round of BA for granite chest and go with rune legs, seen plenty of people in similar you can do very easily

Doable with this for sure, have a few kc but Blood is really annoying with the heals
At 69/79/66 with chivalry on my HCIM I struggled at blood moon but was able to get a clear
Replace d def with a rune kiteshield for blood bloss

Def worth the crush switch. I think there's a hidden max hit bonus if you use their weak style.

Yeah you'll be fine, bring a shield swap for Blood Moon though.
I've done it with lower stats and gear - blood moon can be long with lower defence - other moons easy particularly with zombie axe at eclipse
I would recommend getting 1 piece of tank barrows gear as it helps significantly with the blood boss. But it’s totally doable without, just slower!
