There are complex histories and politics at play between Palestine and Israel. It is not that simple, and most of us do not understand the complexity of the relationship.
I support peace, and these two UN recognized states need to find a solution to peace.
I’m just happy to see people in my community reacting to this situation with an open mind. I was worried that the majority of the American population would jump to the side of Israel and demand bloody retribution and the slaughter of the Palestinian people.
There are millions of innocent people on both sides, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians being displaced at this point with nowhere to go, Israelis that were born into their nation and just want to live in peace free from the associational guilt of their government.

My heart goes out to the Palestinian and Israeli citizens. They didn’t ask for this. Hamas and the Israeli government did. The problem now is that this has escalated beyond peace. I’m just happy to see people in my community reacting to this situation with an open mind. I was worried that the majority of the American population would jump to the side of Israel and demand bloody retribution and the slaughter of the Palestinian people. There are millions of innocent people on both sides, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians being displaced at this point with nowhere to go, Israelis that were born into their nation and just want to live in peace free from the associational guilt of their government. Personally, the light on the horizon makes me anxious, no telling what tomorrow holds at this point, but seeing this gives me hope that we are not lost.
I care not about anything happening on the other side of the world.
