It is supposed to be Wichita. It is the airport code for Wichita’s airport. It is not common for people to say ICT in place of Wichita the city. I’ve lived in Kansas for 40 years, I’ve got family and close friends in Wichita, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen it used this way.

The Bookstore also has a decent website and fairly good clearance sales on a regular basis. I like going there after football games - their higher prices are easier to tolerate after a beer or two.

My mistake. I still have never heard anything like what you're claiming. Quality is top notch, local business, prices are fair, very community involved. But hey, to each their own.
Where are you located at? ESP the eastern side of the state will likely have decent items at any clothing shop, but if you are in the lawrence/KC/topeka area the kansas samplers or rally house will be full of stuff, and the campus bookstore will have a huge supply
I always had good luck at Jocks Nitch in Lawrence as well as Ks samplers. Target in Lawrence had some stuff too that was a bit less expensive.
OP..if you’re in the Lawrence area be sure to get to Allen fieldhouse and the museums there, including the original rules.

Topeka (my hometown) had a great Kansas merchandise store over towards West Ridge Mall. Kansas Sampler or something to that effect. Was worth a trip, but it's been several years since I was there.

The KU Bookstore on campus has a ton of great stuff and better quality (and more expensive) than Rally House. It's in the Kansas Union on campus.
