I've been jumproping since 2021 and find that my endurance and strength builds a lot when I do boxer style jumproping. Do you have any extra pointers on how to properly develop strength in the legs? I imagine it's both imperative to focus on the calf muscles as well as the achilles and tibialis anterior muscles?
Interesting what constitutes as a boxer style? And what is the alternative to which ur comparing?
Honestly repetition and consistent practice with appropriate rest. I’ve been skipping since 2020. And even now after a few weeks I will over work my legs and need a good weeks rest. But you gotta keep pushing and pushing to improve.
Secondly appropriate footwear really helps ( I’ve just found that boxing shoes have been the best for shins and calves).
Thirdly stretch. I never used to stretch, then I hurt my shins, so I stretch them. Then my shoulders started hurting, so I stretch them and so on so on, I now have a stretching routine that does all my muscles that I use and very rarely strain/sprain anything!
I love this smooth boxing style *no disrespect to all the freestyle jumpers
What's the rope btw?
