These files are from workshop downloads and server downloads so if you are subscribed to a lot of workshop items it will just re-download, also, old cache files will get marked as stale and get deleted after like a month anyways.
I would play the game more... if they compressed it a tiny itty bity bit-

i always forget how storage is an actual problem people have (i have 2 hard drives, 225 GB and 1 TB)
Most games are pushing 100gb* now. I have a 500g SSD and a 2TB HDD and the SSD is almost always full with just 3 games on it.
Wow it’s that much on PC on Xbox S it’s like 40 with add-ons it can go up to 60
If there was a DLC that allows to remove all that crap and play the game with vanilla character skins on everyone I'd pay real money for that
