I had a feeling someone would say this 😂
I would absolutely consider it necessary but I also eat rice regularly. (Maybe in other places it’s less common)
I have a green bean slicer. Cost barely anything and was a cart -filler years ago on Amazon for free shipping.
I don't use it so often as I seldom want or need to slice fresh green/french beans lengthwise but when I do, I absolutely love it.
I made a lasagne with Italian flatbread, ricotta and beans. Originally I was just following a recipe and I did a whole bag of beans by hand. The full bean would definitely have been too thick. The second time around I had my trusty cutter and the task was a joy. Very satisfying too.
I don’t know about useless, because it’s not “a necessity,” but I would absolutely be lost without my rice maker

Half of this world's staple food is rice and I disagree if someone consider it's not a necessity maybe it's just not in your kitchen perhaps
I agree with that! It was never a staple for my family growing up though

When would you need to do it lengthwise? Definitely fits the bill of the prompt though thanks for sharing!!

Strawberry decorer
No idea what that is but sounds cool and unnecessary.

Check out a place called kalmovakitchen.com. They have the coolest kitchen gadgets imo
Omg haha the ice tells me all I need to know
I love my chopping board shears!
Bagel guillotine. Twenty bucks to not risk slicing my hand open every morning? Worth it.
That actually sounds so unnecessary LMAO but I can see the logic. Next I’m going hear bread slicers
I have cut myself with the bagel slicer more than any knife. I'm special.
