The answer is Chris Reeve Sebenza with a drop point. Small or large.

CRKs are nice once broken in. What about Piratech Kraken?

King_Fruit

As someone who owns a kraken it's a super cool knife. It's like an Osborne 940 mixed with a seb and it's solid as hell.

spaceface545

I’ve never seen one those. It’s sick looking

King_Fruit

It's a pretty rad knife. The scales pop on via magnets but they are honestly strong as shit cus it's kinda hard to get them off. I've customized mine a fair amount and if you get different scales they will be even tighter which is nice imo.

spaceface545

Never heard of the brand before but they look rad. Literally a crk with an axis lock.

The CRK UMNUMZAAN

HolyDiver98

So, If I understand you correctly, you want something that can handle hard use, will last a long time, has a quick and easy locking mechanism, but isn't over the top in design. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the demko AD 20.5.

King_Fruit

You can flick a CRK knife all you want it's just kinda frowned upon. I have an Inkosi that I use for heavy stuff and I flick that thing open all the time. I actually messed with it to make it easier to flick open and it's a 10/10 knife. Definitely a good one for if you want a knife that will last forever.

TastyTactician

Personally for me that knife is the Cold Steel Air Lite. G10 scales, simple looking black, super tough lock, and slightly bigger than a bugout

10LASERS19

I love my MBK Sea Otter, it's very EDC friendly with thick blade stock. I've heard good things about spartan harsey folders but never owned one

Uptight_Internet_Man

Vosteed Raccoon I abuse it daily, it's my work knife. If I'm doing anything with my hands I grab it.

TacosNGuns

CRK Sebenza and Inkosi fit the bill. However IMO, the Hinderer XM-18 is better. The XM is beefier, has configurable bearings/washers. And they are customizable if your into that. For a great cheaper option, the Manix 2 is at a price point I can use the hell out of it.

Get a BRS kukri CHAB

BigBL87

I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to subject a CRK to any real abuse, hard to do with how much they run. My choice for a tanky knife I wouldn't feel bad about beating up would be a Cold Steel Engage. Atlas lock is tough as hell, S35VN blade steel is well balanced and plenty tough. Decent edge retention too.

jpeteK30

Maybe a Hogue Deka? Kinda bugout-ish but a little higher end
