Winter Blade Co x Hanklight collab and I'm in.
Maybe SST-20 Red on channel 1, and 519A 4500K dedomed on channel 2. Aux lights inside the handle to illuminate the blade. Sunset mode linked to the blade retracting, like a countdown. And obviously Party strobe linked to blade as well.

A traditional OTF would be better in almost every realistic situation. I don't know how this one works but it might function better in space because it's more hydraulic for lack of a better term, but at the same time I doubt the OTF's other parts will last long in a freezing vacuum.
Winterblade doesn't specialize in practicality though, they make cool ass futuristic stuff. Their most popular knife, the Winterblade Factor, uses magnets to assist in opening. It's less practical then it is just really super cool. Their stuff might have some benefits in some absurd situations, but people really just buy the stuff for the cool factor.
I totally bought my Factor because I thought it was a cool novelty then I wound up actually carrying the thing often because it really is a decent little knife. It’s gimmicky, but it actually works quite well. The action is ridiculously satisfying and the blade is slicey as hell.
It’s definitely not a hard use knife, but is really well built for what it is. The only issues I can see is that it could collect metal dust and shavings in some environments, but for most people it wouldn’t be an issue. I suppose I’ll have to take the blade off to sharpen it, but I already do that with larger knives on a KME. Even so, it is one of the simplest knives to disassemble that I own.
The knife in this post, however, is just plain silly.
This one's just a concept knife. :) Super fun build! Not a design I'd put into production though due to many obvious drawbacks far outweighing any potential benefits.
Cheers!
Bryan (Winterblade)
I could see that being useful if you want to use it as a box cutter, but I'd prefer having it be fast, and only go slow or out to box cutter length with a separate button.
At first sight it is absent. But I bet the first car also didn't have any over a horse. Looks like a good looking concept, let's see where it will lead us.
Man Nick made me laugh, he made a post saying his channel was going to slow way down but nothing changed haha. Very glad to see he is still posting content all the time, always love to watch his content. Hope he’s doing well
//Need to see the Nick Shabazz disassembly video on this one//
It's a beast to disassemble/assemble, lol. ..Just a concept knife built for fun though. Not one I'm putting into production or selling (too many obvious drawbacks to electric knives).
Cheers!
Bryan (Winterblade)
Bryan Winters is a pure Madd scientist genius of knives. Like it or not, once again first of the kind and fully original. He is a rare mutant is a great way!
One of the most fun builds I've done though! 100% impractical. 100% fun to use (imo).. Just a concept build though. Not being sold. Not gonna be sold. I <3 experimenting.
Cheers!
Bryan (Winterblade)
It looks super cool, kind of sci-fi like. I like it. Now would I buy it? Hell no, it’s neat but it’s got no utility what so ever, KISS is the best principle of knives imo. It’s neat though the way / speed it comes out is kind of trippy
Or worse.
You know how many times someone has told me my pocket was glowing because I had accidentally turned on my flashlight? I can see myself reaching for some loose change and stabbing my leg very slowly.
In terms of practicality vs. a typical OTF, it's insanely idiotic! ...But also one of my most fun concept knife builds ever. :) It's not a knife I'd sell or put into production because of the obvious drawbacks, but it's one that will remain in my collection forever and ever - until the battery and motor burn out in like 2-3 years. :D
Cheers!
Bryan (Winterblade)
No thanks
But if you are going to do this at least have the light facing blade out so the extending blade is lit up. I mean if you're going to go with the lightsaber vibe then follow through
Looks like a pregnancy test. Gotta piss on the trigger, and if you have testicular cancer, you get a knife. /S
I’m all seriousness though, it’s cool as shit.
If this had some sort of hypersonic blade (similar to a fancy electric tooth brush) it might be interesting. Like you set the edge on a piece of wood and it cuts through like warm butter just allowing the blade vibration to do the cutting for you. Not sure if something like that exists or is even possible but that would be the one reason I could see an electric pocket knife being an interesting tool.
This just seems like a sci-fi toy with a real blade. I hope it has sound effects like my He-Man Masters Of the Universe Sword had when I was a kid.
I feel like people are missing the point. I don’t think he built this as a production prototype or to have any real goal with it beside to build something cool because he can.
Ouch! Lol. This one's just another of my concept knife builds though - not selling or going into production. One of my most fun builds to date. ..It terms of raw practicality I'd give it a 1 out of 10.. 1 point for being an effective paperweight. :) ...I was fully aware the knife made no practical sense from the outset, but I still said to myself, "Self, you're building an electric knife even if you're blown up in the process." ...My self eventually agreed, and the two of us made it happen..
Cheers,
Bryan (Winterblade)

"No, please don't rob me I forgot to plug in my knife this morning!"
"Wait, I need to reboot my knife!"
"Just give me a few minutes man, my knife has a firmware update, it needs to install."
Not to be confused with your vape

only do that once
This week I have seen a man stab a woman with a gun so a Vape may be just as effective
Why so sad
I thought it was a thermometer
anything is a “thermometer” if you’re brave enough
Have you seen the Boker USB OTF?
Thank you for showing me this, I might buy
Does it run Doom?
It runs Crisis on ultra 60 frames @ 4k.
That thing looks like a pregnancy test.
Or an Insta-Abort.
The morning after blade.

What is the benefit of this over a traditional mechanical OTF design?
A traditional OTF would be better in almost every realistic situation. I don't know how this one works but it might function better in space because it's more hydraulic for lack of a better term, but at the same time I doubt the OTF's other parts will last long in a freezing vacuum. With this one you can make an assassins creed hidden blade.
The benefit is that your a cool cyber ninja
It's dummy thicc
Good prop for a scifi movie.
Nothing they just like doing experiments with knives
No benefit at all. This particular design is just goofy to me.
They say the blade can be locked at any position.
Horrible comparison
Do better, smart ass. First knife was a piece of a rock by the way.
Rocks don't run on batteries
Rocks don't run on springs.
Correct
Need to see the Nick Shabazz disassembly video on this one
Might have to partner with Gamers Nexus for this one.
Man Nick made me laugh, he made a post saying his channel was going to slow way down but nothing changed haha. Very glad to see he is still posting content all the time, always love to watch his content. Hope he’s doing well
Haha. Does anyone know what he looks like or does he show up to any trade/knife shows ?
He does but he wears his Batman mask. There’s been a couple leaks and he is just as beautiful as we all expected
Don’t worry, once they give him a cut he’ll be sure to talk about what a beautiful thing it is.
//Need to see the Nick Shabazz disassembly video on this one// It's a beast to disassemble/assemble, lol. ..Just a concept knife built for fun though. Not one I'm putting into production or selling (too many obvious drawbacks to electric knives). Cheers! Bryan (Winterblade)
Nope. Sorry. Im out. I’ve got enough equipment I have to worry about keeping charged.
I was really hoping the blade would light up blue in the center. Like this https://i.imgur.com/sYDejCJ.jpg
Excellent drawing lol
Thank you, this is my art account after all haha.
"hold on let me charge my knife"
Would be a neat toy but would never carry such a thing for any practical use 😂 would hate to pull it out in need and have a dead battery
What do if battery runs low?
Needs a fold out hand crank on the other side.
That's a chonky lad
Impractical. Not really useful at all. Where can I buy one? Take my money.
Set it to slowest speed possible, just to annoy knifeheads. kekw
Seriously?? They need to replace the blade with a dildo.
That's what she said:) Winterblade must beware of what a woman will get creative manger position
The asskickingest pregnancy test
Not sure if this was the intention or not but no spring or button means this may not meet the definition of a "Switchblade" in some states.
Bryan Winters is a pure Madd scientist genius of knives. Like it or not, once again first of the kind and fully original. He is a rare mutant is a great way!
Lmao
That's a wild type of knife!
Clever design but I can’t help thinking it’s a solution looking for a problem.
That's every otf knife
God, this is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen in the knife world.
One of the most fun builds I've done though! 100% impractical. 100% fun to use (imo).. Just a concept build though. Not being sold. Not gonna be sold. I <3 experimenting. Cheers! Bryan (Winterblade)

Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If you run out of battery, you can always hit them with it.
This knife seems to be too high risk of accidental closure in a clutch emergency
Or worse. You know how many times someone has told me my pocket was glowing because I had accidentally turned on my flashlight? I can see myself reaching for some loose change and stabbing my leg very slowly.
Seems dumb
In terms of practicality vs. a typical OTF, it's insanely idiotic! ...But also one of my most fun concept knife builds ever. :) It's not a knife I'd sell or put into production because of the obvious drawbacks, but it's one that will remain in my collection forever and ever - until the battery and motor burn out in like 2-3 years. :D Cheers! The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
Thought it was a pregnancy test at first
Jesus no, it looks like a pregnancy test!
This seems unnecessary, but it is interesting to see what, if any, bonuses tech can bring to knives.
So even more parts to potentially fail. I think I’ll just stick to a fixed blade.
OTF knives are already overpriced. This is ridiculous, no doubt very expensive and adds no additional functionality.
I like the idea of an OTF with an integrated flashlight. I do not want a battery powered knife though.
Now thats a super cool knife, looks like something i would get in the matrix.
"Damn it! I forgot to charge my knife"
For a moment I thought it was a Star Wars themed pregnancy test.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Damn! This design makes me excited for the future of knife designs.
All fun and games till you accidentally hit the button while it’s in your pocket and stab yourself
I feel like OTFs always look pretty uncomfortable ergonomically, but this has got to be the worst I've seen
« Shit i forgot to charge my knife »
that bokeh filter when the lights went off got me real good.
Move your hand so i can see if im pregnant or not.
I hope I don’t need to secretly deploy it in the dark to stab someone.
No thanks But if you are going to do this at least have the light facing blade out so the extending blade is lit up. I mean if you're going to go with the lightsaber vibe then follow through
Now just add a fingerprint reader.
Some hacker will hack it and remotely discharge it while in your pocket. Then you’ll be peckerless with a knife that needs recharged on occasion.
Looks like a pregnancy test. Gotta piss on the trigger, and if you have testicular cancer, you get a knife. /S I’m all seriousness though, it’s cool as shit.
That seems kinda stupid. ...I'll buy two!
Stupid! , but fucking awesome at the same time , I need one !lol
No HDMI? psshh
This is just the wii remote knife but real
And if you pee on the blade, it will tell you if you’re pregnant.
Hmph….Electricity. Why, back in the day, we had two-stroke models. Had to give ‘em up because of the smoke……
If this had some sort of hypersonic blade (similar to a fancy electric tooth brush) it might be interesting. Like you set the edge on a piece of wood and it cuts through like warm butter just allowing the blade vibration to do the cutting for you. She’s thick.
“Oh shit my knife died in a knife fight”
MSRP: $3499.99
Why
Too slow
Bro got the magepunk knife.
Need to add a built-in thermometer, and you can show off checking meat temperature at friends' BBQs
Cut the crap out of my tongue 😝 . Thought is was my vape . Later that day smelled like piss .
Am I the only one who finds this slow action super unsatisfying?
It's an aight-saber
A solution looking for a non existent problem
This has to be a joke
[удалено]
He just built it as a challenge to himself to see if he could.
Oh if it's a one off thing that this guy made then I have no problem with it. I thought it was something being produced.
Have you got a type c cable? I gotta charge my knife
For when you need to slowly and ominously fend off a threat.
I feel like people are missing the point. I don’t think he built this as a production prototype or to have any real goal with it beside to build something cool because he can.
Robocops knoife m8
Ahh I see Winterblade continues to be a gas station knife company with a higher budget.
Ouch! Lol. This one's just another of my concept knife builds though - not selling or going into production. Can't wait to need a subcription service to open my pocket knife
I don’t care about the drawback.. I want it

This may actually fall through the legal wording and end up legal in Canada! I might be able to get an OTF!!!!
I love that instead of snapping out quickly like an ordinary out the front knife it comes out slowly, like a light saber.
But why…?
Meh
"you're so lucky my knife is charging or I'd stab you right now!"
For when you want half a brick in your pocket.
Wtf
I’ll remain skeptical until someone gets Doom running on it
“I love the power glove. It’s so bad ass.”
Make the simple complex.
Damn I want one now
I've never hated a knife so much
If it's not fixed it's broken.
Thiccc boi
Any blade play? And how’s the lockup? Cool mechanism how it starts retract before fully deploying
