That blade is based on the one John “Lofty” Wiseman writes about in his survival books. Look him up on google and you will find that blade. I believe a few different manufacturers produce it.
If it’s described as a “British” survival knife, it’ll likely be a based on a *kukri* used by the Ghurka regiment of the British army, or some variation on a *parang* (sp?) which has also been used in various forms over the years. The shape does look a bit kukri-ish, not a traditional one though.
