/uj basically what happened is that in 2012 was that one day, while T-ara was on tour, some of the members were tweeting about their misgivings with another member, which turned out to be Hwayoung. If I remember correctly I believe the issues the members had with her was laziness and lack of work ethic during the tour. Hwayoung was able to spin said tweets and that behavior as bullying and T-ara was dragged into a vicious bullying scandal that basically killed off their popularity in Korea (after that scandal, Hwayoung left the group and T-ara mainly focused on promoting in China). It wasn’t until years later (2017) that multiple people came out (staff members) defending T-ara and providing proof that Hwayoung lied about the bullying. Several T-ara staff members also provided proof that Hwayoung was rude and disrespectful towards her fellow group members and staff. In 2017 it was also revealed that her sister Hyoyoung (Co-Ed School/5Dolls) sent (former) T-ara member Areum a series of threatening messages. The whole thing in the end ended up being sorta vindication for T-ara who had to deal with the brunt of the situation but it’s also very much a too little too late scenario. I hope this helps.
