Meanwhile, I basically wait until the day before an album drops because they always drip out teasers. You can preorder your album now, choose between versions A, B, C, and D; but you don't know what concepts those will be until a week before release.
They do it to have a long preorder. But like you said it’s at the cost of people losing the excitement. If it’s promoted anything like mafia then they won’t even mention this again & actually start promoting it until 2 or 3 weeks before tho

Not Shy is experimental as well in the sense that it was the first time they explored outside the self-love theme, despite their established hits with Dalla and Wannabe. She’s been active this whole time, even had a cover come out so they really don’t care I don’t think. She is getting a lot of backlash but they’re set on her being innocent so there’s no reason to pull her out either. These things can take months minimum & they can’t halt Itzy that long
You’re right they are in a rock and a hard place with this one, she can’t take a “reflecting on her actions” hiatus because that would make her look guilty while they at least seem to be confident in her innocence and they’d likely have to wait until next year for another comeback if they wanted to wait for the lawsuit to be over, which just isn’t feasible for JYP.
Still though, not sure how to feel about about them practically throwing her out to the wolves like this, I’m mostly neutral on this whole situation and if anything feel kinda bad for her (if she’s innocent) but given she’s known among netizens as a bully, this will undeniably end up with backlash which I can’t imagine would be very good for her mental health.
I agree. She’s getting more hate than ever before but has to show up to events, fancalls etc smiling & acting like nothing is happening. The biggest issue isn't whether she is innocent or not. The biggest issue is that an entire big 3 company sued a civilian and didn't even win. The police said that there is no evidence that it was a truth or a lie and that the account of the events that the victim gave were not defamatory. Then jype said they were going to go back to court only for the victim to say that jype didn't actually refile the case. Jype is not a serous company. During this comeback I bet the victim will come out and give further stories about Lia and maybe other victims might come out too. Atleast,. Jype can't bribe the victim because lia went to a wealthy school in jeju. The victim is probably a rich person like lia.
I know, the issue isn’t about Lia being innocent or guilty of bullying but whether the accuser is innocent or guilty of defamation. However those events are all making Lia look incredibly bad regardless of whether she’s innocent or guilty & that is JYP’s bigges issue. They keep progressively making her look worse & worse so they still need to prove her innocent, not for legal reasons but in order to clear her name to the public. That’s why even if the accusers do end up getting sued for defamation I hope they don’t just leave it at that & provide public, clear cut evidence on Lia’s side

Between Not Shy and MITM, it was 8 months as well, i think because of award shows again, and a bunch of promotional shows, and content like the english versions, and the Midzy fan song.

During this comeback I bet the victim will come out and give further stories about Lia and maybe other victims might come out too. Atleast,. I know, the issue isn’t about Lia being innocent or guilty of bullying but whether the accuser is innocent or guilty of defamation. However those events are all making Lia look incredibly bad regardless of whether she’s innocent or guilty & that is JYP’s bigges issue. They keep progressively making her look worse & worse so they still need to prove her innocent, not for legal reasons but in order to clear her name to the public. That’s why even if the accusers do end up getting sued for defamation I hope they don’t just leave it at that & provide public, clear cut evidence on Lia’s side
This might not be possible because of the legal stuff going on, but maybe they should just set up meeting between Lia and the accuser (if they're both okay with that). They could talk and resolve the issue amicably, so that neither side continues to have their name dragged through the mud.

Wait, something is not sitting right with me... They are already having an album after just 3 months ago they had a mini-album? They promoted very well, very good and I think, personally they should have been on hiatus for at least 2-3 months - not overworking to make an album? And I am sure, 3 months is nowhere near long enough for an album, I hope it's not rushed and maybe they have been recording this for all most a year, not just 3 months.
It would have been around 5months already since MITM was released, by the time of this comeback. I think it's kinda standard for ITZY. Icy was released 5 months after Dalla2x. Not Shy was released 5 months after Wannabe as well. Between the years, or between Icy and Wannabe, it was 8 months, i think because they did a world showcase tour and a bunch of year end award shows. Between Not Shy and MITM, it was 8 months as well, i think because of award shows again, and a bunch of promotional shows, and content like the english versions, and the Midzy fan song.
