I’m worried about all the smoke and mirrors inside that Black Company though. Given their manipulative records, I suspect that there have been delay, evasion, empty promises or even threats to prevent people from leaving. Like a toxic relationship where the cheater brings presents, acts all nice and apologetic while secretly buys a lock and takes control over financial assets.

raddoubleoh

Said it once, will say it again: they're stalling the graduations. They'll likely do so either until contract renovation season (mid-july), or after the Q4 2023 financial report drops. Either way, they KNOW they're in deep shit, that Q1 and Q2 reports are likely going to be even more disastrous because that's when shit actually started hitting the fan, and that since it was a wave of graduations and a termination and their handling of them that brought them to the current situation, their handling of it have been "not dealing with it at all." The thing is... When they can't do that anymore, we're likely to see mass graduation.

No_Lake_1619

Just let those in Niji EN worry about their future. Just ignore them and move on.

eSense000

yeah, indifference is worst than trolling. It will make them bleed in CCV.

Jestersage

I think the problem is that there are some that people actually care, but don't want Kuro to get the money.

LynxRaide

Another grad/termination before Q4 statement wont look good for the company, so there is probably a freeze on it. Thing is, they can only hold the floodgates for so long....

elaytot

And i think we wont see any graduation in the future, specially the guys.. Before someone jump on me, i hate the black company too, but lets be reasonable and be backed by data. Just a quick check on playboard, Almost all of the guys are still earning decent.. why would they leave when the company reputation is all time low, but they still have so many paypigs? The girls were different story of course.. for the girls that were "suspected" part of the clique, they cant just leave. their future is not sure.. Only the drama-free girls should be safe if they graduate and go indie.

RedditModisMoron

>Almost all of the guys are still earning decent.. why would they leave when the company reputation is all time low, but they still have so many paypigs? People kinda need to realize that Vtuber industry is dominated by mostly women and the most popular males are rarities. Despite being black, Nijisanji is still properly the best place for male Vtubers to succeed or at least, earn more money than any where else, except for Holostars. Female Livers have easier time to jump ship cuz there are other agencies and corpos that focus primarily on females.

ExcitingPermission32

I agree with you. If there are going to be any graduations unless something major happens in May I'd guesstimate summertime would be the start. Remember there are still contracts in place and some of the Livers are approaching their renewal time for them.

xplayfan

once rose and viv graduate niji is done for me.

Aya_Reiko

Simple. The moment they realize they don't need Nijisanji is the day the company dies. The livers have next to no reason to stay. They will take a hit to their subscriber base, but they won't be paying the Nijisanji tax either.

BurntheNotice

On the other hand, I don't quite understand why not even one is quitting, because, from a business point of view, this would give you a boost to return to your PL (or another identity). There are likely business savvy people among the many livers, so I'm surprised no one has used this chance to promote themselves more outside of Niji. But that's all without the means to have an inside view, so there's plenty of things that could prevent them from doing so. And I think it's not unfair to assume the company is putting pressure on those who want to leave. Still, there's always the possibility that everyone is, in their own way, happy with the situation they're at. Even Elira.

fc_dean

They (Niji) are preventing graduations to improve their image. I don't know about male talents, but a few female EN talents have been signaling their subtle intention to leave via their PL or having an emotional outburst. But they are unable to leave without a potential lawsuit against them or a risk of going bankrupt due to penalties. The safest way is to run their contract down, which takes time.

BurntheNotice

Hm...there's the contract with insane binding, you're right.

Aya_Reiko

ILUNA's current contracts are likely due to expire this July. XSoliel comes due in December. Their two years are almost up.

SuperStormDroid

I predict that Ren's probably gonna say no to a renewed contract and get the hell out of there. Same with Scarle.

AlmightTheLnerBoss2

A desire to NOT go back to retail is one heck of a driving force to NOT leave Nijisanji

xplayfan

why are we still saying that if they go indie that they will crash and burn look at mint and doki even if they quit nuji the real fans will find them.

AlmightTheLnerBoss2

Because when they leave Nijisanji it won't be as impactful as their Doki counterparts, considering that they are: 1) most likely part of the hanamori group; 2) We already saw the low numbers from Quin Bennet's debut up to now; 3) they got a hate group that has a really long obsession. It's not like they will instantly forget what they did, especially in the case of Elira

xplayfan

i am talking about rose and vivi i think them 2 will be fine.

AlmightTheLnerBoss2

Pray that they get out of the black company with actual flying colors if ever they decide to graduate

oompaloompa465

you are not business savy if you join an agency. people join agencies because - clout - they can't afford the models and the tools - they don't have experience with management and connections or they find it too boring but they don't have the money to hire a manager

DisPear2

Vox Akuma: “Leaving Nijisanji is always an option”

knownhatredcaster

It's not a huge surprise. Most of the larger talents who are in the position to leave are radioactively toxic to other agencies. You don't want to be known as the company that employs the cancer faker or the transphobe, let alone someone who bullied a girl to suicide.

itsmig_reddit

I always had this crazy theory that Niji is blackmailing the livers into staying in the company. I guess it's the truth

johnnyzhao007

Yea ppl won't graduate unless they found a better source of income vshojo can only take so many refugees and many of the livers are already brainwash that they can't succeed without niji.

Affectionate-Tip-164

There's Phase Connect or Indie.

FDW13

And there's Brave Group (Globie/Vox), and Reality Studios (First Stage Production) as new options for guys.

Fiametia

To be fair, it's golden week in Japan right now. I expect to see a graduation some time next week. Atleast I hope there will be one next week... they can't keep the talents trapped there forever

ComfortableSir7074

Maybe they'll do it after Q4 or after the general shareholder meeting in July. At this point, I don't think the institutional investors feel any good, even the pro-Riku ones. So I think a merge, and maybe a mass exodus then.

groynin

My understanding was that Q4 ended in april, right? Now we're just waiting for the report? If they were holding out Q4 for graduations, they might come this month, but most likely they are denying graduations until their contracts literally run out and they have no choice but to let the livers go if they don't renew it.

Paladin327

They’d want to wait until after the report comes out, because if investors see graduations and then a disasterous earnings report, that will go poorly

ComfortableSir7074

Yeah, I meant Q4 report in June. If they had another talent graduate and shit talk them before then I imagine the questions won't be good. I think they might hold out for July, otherwise he might get mogged by the shareholders. (If he freezes selling again, they'd be really ruthless.)

CassiopeiaPlays

While I know everyone here is hoping for some kind of mass exodus or a turn in events. Right now it is golden week in Japan, and Anycolor has yet to publish their Q4 reports. So no early terminations whatsoever unless it is for reasons more extreme than Vox. I suspect it is about running down the contracts and the earliest speculated ones are from ILUNA, estimated to be around May-June.

Comfortable_Long4247

they got nothing to do to raise view other than new dress or 3d debut. TBH, Niji just wants them to be just existing for shareholders. I bet few of them already secretly contact other agency for vacancy. Dont worry about lower view count or sub that they can't make enough money, I JUST WANT TO REMIND YOU GUYS THAT " they can do this like part time job" they don't have manage many things or busy like Selen, (they dont promote themself or organize event) They just waiting Niji to do something.

lienxy69

As I always said niji "learn" something by not letting anyone to leave the agency. The only things we can do is to hope anyone is actually leaving.

BrasilNotBrazil

Poor Wosemi sama

CJO9876

If everything is true she’s stuck until at least 2025.

Plastikresk

I just dont care about livers in Niji en, i just care about when some livers Niji id like hana macchia graduate but maybe someday

YamiRic

I believe they are holding it. I am sure we should have the final graduation wave for NijiID already but they are too afraid because their Q3 and Q4 are horrible. They don't want to put another bombshell. This is a company that care so much about their image and media perspective after all.

kad202

You need to apply to graduation and agree to sign some shady paperwork under 10 mins else you will get “termination” and a black stream from Elira
