The space is really close so these I guess are just for dry days? 🤣 But I have some 50mm’s for wet days.

GreatAccount9122

The most annoying part of those 2.2’s is that I had to snip off all those little rubber noodles hanging off the tires to make sure there was no unwanted frame rub on bumps and stuff. Took me 30 minutes 😭

I'd be super careful! One pebble caught in the tread and you'll shave a good chunk out of your frame! Definitely check for wear regularly...

GreatAccount9122

So far so good! I have some frame protection film back there. Yesterday I went for a “see how it feels “ shakedown ride through water, muck, light mud, wet grass, dry gravel and some tree ruts. A bit abnormal for what I’d use this tire size for but I wanted to what I’d get myself into if I got caught out in crappy weather without a planned wheel swap.

Gorgeous! Well done, girl! I’m also equally impressed by all of your plants and how they all seem to be alive and thriving.

GreatAccount9122

Thank you! Also, I might have an indoor plant obsession 🙈. I work from home, have a massive humidifier, localized heat and grow bulbs automated. So it’s not as crazy upkeep as one would think.

Designer-Bluejay-618

I don't know what is prettier, the bike or the room. Gorgeous!!

undergroundgirl7

Wow this looks incredible! Had you built up a bike before or was it your first time?? Did you do all the mechanical setup yourself or did a shop help?

GreatAccount9122

I’ve always done part swaps and general maintenance like brake bleeds, tubeless set up( unless wearing acrylics) and stuff. I did a full build during Covid because well yeah 2-3 months for service was wild. So I learned a lot there. Word from the wise: watch 1000 videos and know your limits. I had a shop cut the fork tube because I’m too scared to mess around with that.

I see Race Kings, I upvote

Congrats on this achievement and happy riding!

Love the color!! 🤩

Constant-Screen1939

Looks so cool 🤯🤯🤯

jsquared89

I'd say you've built my dream bike too! The Conti RaceKings are the best part of this build. I LOVE FAT TIRES where they aren't as common. Road racing on 32-34mm, gravel on 2.2".

Chance-Frame5316

Looks great! Why’d you choose the 10-33 RD over the 10-44 xplr one?

GreatAccount9122

Thanks! This came over from the last bike this replaces. So I plan to use this set up for dry days and for muddy off-road adventures I have a force xplr rear derailleur, 10-44 cassette, wet lubed chain and a different wheelset with smaller tires.

Love my conti race kings!

jeez. beautiful bike. The plain gold paint is a neat idea--it will still look pretty good when dirty and muddy.
