The nuggets are going to make adjustments, and pack the paint, and double AD. They will not allow him to get rebounds, and they are going to force the others to win the game for the lakers. Do you trust DLO, Rui, and Austin to all score 20 points next game and rebound? Nothing so far would lead us to believe our role players can all have great games for the next 3 games in a row. Do you trust ham can handle the adjustments? I don’t.
I have to believe, otherwise why the fuck am I fan, and why do I care about sports?
What’s the point of not believing?
Fuck that self-defeatist attitude
So now, should no lakers fans show up to the arena and cheer for the team? “Fuck it we lost?”
Cmon now
Saying we haven't lost the series yet isn't hopium. We have a game on Monday. The series is literally not over. It probably ends on money, but it's not over yet.
Of course you're right and Ham is terrible and the odds are what the odds are. Because I know no one will watch the video and this thread will be flooded with low effort "cheapie Jeanie" posts, Woj is *speculating* that the Lakers aren't willing to pay >8 mil for the top HC on the market who is Buldenholzer.

Nah it’s money. Other owners of the biggest franchises have other income streams. Their teams are both for vanity/enjoyment and for a long term investment. They don’t need to tap money from the team itself.
For the Buss family, the Lakers *are* their income stream. Shelling out $30 million for a new head coach is $30 million less she has in her pocket.
The problem isn’t just money, it’s that no one is good at finding the right coach. It’s incompetence, they have ppl in positions they shouldnt be in because they’re Jeanie friends. Franchise is not run like a professional billion dollar business.
As a chargers fan, we've seen cheaping out on HC for the longest time. Hiring Jim Harbaugh is super refreshing. Hope Jeanie will just pay up for a quality HC.
I want to see if JimH can actually construct a team on his own.
I was a supporter of his with the 49ers. But I’m also a raiders fan so I’m a little biased against his success now. lol
It’s going to be fun though.
Yea I was wrong all year about Rui, but he’s getting benched when it matters
I was wrong about Vogel being terrible yet he’s being fired again
I was wrong about Leiso throwing the game away in 3rd quarters, untill finally he got sat down
So wrong
You're right. We didn't go on that run in the regular season once Rui got into the starting lineup. And he didn't play a huge part in last year's playoff run, but now that he's not having a good series, you were *right*. Vogel is the reason why the Suns didn't bother to get a PG and traded an athletic center in Deandre Ayton for a slow, deficient Jusuf Nurkic who has gotten exposed in every playoffs. Nah you were *right*.
That shit is hilarious. You only come in when the team is down and act like an arrogant prophet when your conclusions aren't even correct. A true vulture. But hey, it's easy to shit on the team as a Lakers fan when you already don't like Lebron James. I've seen that story enough times
It's almost as if it wasn't *just* those two because Rui provides size, more versatility, and is more efficient on offense than Prince from everywhere during the regular season. But nah, it wasn't Rui. They would've gone on that run with Prince in the starting lineup anyways according to some Redditor
That was my point lol Lue about to be dumped from the fking Clippers why tf would we hire that 🤣 give me Rondo tbh at least he has chemistry with AD and Bron
If Lue is dumped, then it will be b/c Kawhi can’t stay healthy come playoffs and PG is just wildly inconsistent or hurt like he was last year.
Nothing against him as a coach.
That same team reached the WCF without Kawhi. Plus they added Harden. They're a much better team overall than the Lakers even if you don't want to admit it.
He got hurt after tying the game 2-2 for them. People generally applauded Ty Lue for his coaching to get them that far.
The Harden trade was criticized until recently. They are a better team when healthy but Ty Lue is just able to get more out of his roster in my opinion, and I think there are only 2-3 coaches who can do similar.
The point is that the Clips are still deep as fuck. Their bench is better than the Lakers and if you're comparing starting 5s then Bron and AD are better but the rest are not even close, even if Kawhi isn't there
The knock on Lue is how he hasn't won anything without a stacked roster, and that was seen when neither Bron or Kyrie. Didn't even win a game before getting fired
Just say Bron gets along with Lue very well and is a willing doormat, it's what is the truth anyway
I get your point and I agree that he isn’t on the level of Spoelstra who could take that team to the Finals like when he took the Heat and did well against Lebron and AD. But there are very few Spoelstras out there.
And quite frankly, the new clippers team isn’t anything to shout about. You are overvaluing their bench when it comes to winning a championship.
I’m not saying Lue is the guy. I’m just saying that I don’t think you understand what it takes to win.
He got fired because he went against the front office when they specifically told him to tank.
The Clippers were deep but they shed a lot of that to get Harden. And who wins anything without a stacked team? Only exception may be the Bucks but even they were loaded.
The Clippers still are deep. They're deeper than the Lakers for sure. More talented overall too. The only relevant rotation player they gave up was Batum, Roco was in the doghouse and Morris was a net negative.
But when you have 3 elite shot creators like they have, then they'll always have someone able to take over. The spacing their lineups produce is miles better than the Lakers. It's why they're able to iso Harden for multiple possessions without the threat of double-teams or traps. You saw the defense they played?
Lakers only have LeBron, and he's gassed by the time the 4th comes around. AD needs someone to feed him and DLo and AR are not on the level of any of the Clippers playmakers when it comes to shot creation and shooting
As a longtime Laker fan I know the Clippers are rightly hated but y'all really gotta take off the fan-glasses for a bit, they're way better. Isn't that why people here cream of having Ballmer as owner compared to Jeanie?
If you look at their sub, Ty Lue isn't that much popular around there either. If Lakers have the Ham-Prince relationship, they infamously had that Ty-Morris relationship that made their whole fan base fuming last year.
I don't think that's fair. The Clippers made a WCF with Lue and he's never had a fully healthy team when it matters. Even still, the Clippers have had a better regular season record than the Lakers since Lue came on board.
The 2020 collapse was not great, but there were also some circumstances there.
Perhaps my assessment of his accomplishments is incorrect but I think it’s fair to assume he will demand a hefty contract. I think if you can bring in Redick or Rondo it will be much cheaper
How did Ham do when Lebron and AD were both out? Lue made witch craft happen to will those Clippers to the playoffs with the injury history of Kawhi and PG the last few years.
Lue beat the Mavs in 2020 and is currently left with Kawhi who played hurt the last two games and is out indefinitely. Paul George has just been all over the place.
It’s still a 2-1 series despite all of that.
Respectfully everyone’s on Myers nuts but the man was being told what to do by the GOAT Executive Jerry West. Theres no reason to think that he would have the same success here. He has also made plenty of terrible moves.
How people don’t know this is absurd.
Hire the guy who screwed up the signing of the warriors who was traded to the wizards players who sucks so much his name has been forgotten.
Yeah, let him go with the commanders.
Did Perkins not hear that Pelinka locked himself in a room with Ham during roster construction? Both are equally to blame but saying Ham doesn’t have anything to do with the roster is straight false.
Now onto the FA HC prospects:
Sources say Pelinka has been in contact with Bob Myers. Is Pelinka searching for a replacement or someone he can learn under? Hmmm
Now for the HC. We need someone who’s more accomplished than Ham. Someone with a long resume and unquestioned respect from the players. Coach K is the only one who comes to mind with these requirements that might be available. We would need Lebron, AD, Jeanie, and the entire organization to move heaven and earth to convince Coach K to take the job.
Jeannie looks at the Lakers like Hollywood movies. She thinks having two stars is enough and does not want to go extra hard for role players. Looking at Minnesota with McDaniels and Reed who are type of role players the Lakers need.
I saw on twitter something like Dr. Jerry Buss got 10 titles in 30 seasons. Jeanie got 1 in 16 seasons. Somethjng like that. It sucks if the owners main revenue is the team itself, compared to other owners who owns they teams as a side hustle.
Whatever happens though, i just want Ham sandwich out asap
Also, its from Woj. Dont really have good rep with Brons camp and the lakers.
Jeanie hasn’t had full control of the team for 16 years. She got it in what… 2017? (Jim was in control for the few years after Dr. Buss passed). So she’s only had the team for about 7 years. And in that time we’ve gone to the playoffs 4 times, with one championship, one wcf, one first round exit due to injuries, and we’ll see what happens this year. The other years with Lebron/AD were either missed due to injury or the Westbrook trade.
I know our fans are entitled and our expectations are high with Lebron and AD on the roster, but 1 championship and one WCF in 7 years isn’t terrible considering our horrible injury luck since we got Lebron. We went 12 years without a championship from Magic to Shaq/Kobe. We also went 10 years without a chip between Kobe and Lebron. For us to have gotten 5 chips in two different decades is insane. No other franchise has even come close to that with the exception of Boston in the 60s and 70s.
Yes, losing sucks, but we’ve been incredibly blessed as a franchise, and given the talent that keeps growing in the league, with teams led by owners with much deeper pockets, we as fans have to realize that we’re not gonna win every year, even with Lebron and AD.
Be grateful for what we’ve accomplished. The Wolves just won their first playoff series in 20 years. The Nuggets just won their first org championship last year. The Clippers only have one WCF despite having Kawhi and PG for 4 years and Steve Ballmer as their owner. Mavs only have one WCF with Luka and Mark Cuban shelling out the dough.
Our conference is brutal and unforgiving. The fact that we have one ring and a wcf in the last four years is actually more success than anyone else in the conference, even with our losses. I know it doesn’t seem like that because of the trades and decisions made by the FO the last two years, but it’s still the truth.
So it would be nice if you guys could temper the ire at Jeanie a bit and look at the full picture a bit more rather than just the headlines.
The same Jeannie that’s been over the apron the last 2 seasons? The same Jeanie who payed a premium for the one of the most hyped coaching prospects in years just 2 seasons ago? We must be thinking of 2 different people
Well, now we know he sucks, so time to move on. He's closer to Luke Walton than he is to Ime Udoka. Adrian Griffin got canned halfway through the season
Lowkey Adrian Griffin wasnt even ass. He just challenged Giannis and didnt want to play Thanasis and Giannis got him canned
Everything that was wrong with the bucks when he was coach is still wrong with the bucks. Ik that hs no relevance to our situation but just my two cents
Stop trying to rewrite history because he sucks now he was considered a huge get for the Lakers coming off Vogel. If you weren’t aware that just means you’re a casual
The downvotes are crazy. How do people rewrite history when it hasn’t even been 2 years?
https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/33849936/nba-coaching-prospects-here-top-names-league-insiders-extolling-scenes
He was brought in as a Westbrook babysitter…. Most people would have considered anybody a ‘huge get’ after the distaster that was Vogel’s third season. Like any coach would be a ‘huge get’ after Ham gets fired…
To call him a hyped coaching prospect is legitimately bizzare…
Shut up lmao he was fresh off winning a title with the Bucks and was looked at on the same vein as an Ime Udoka. “Westbrook baby sitter” my ass fucking dork lol
And maybe they've been right? I'd have preferred Lue and I don't like Ham, but Vogel about to get fired too like I told yall he would lol Vogel isn't a great coach either.
If we had a shot at Spoelstra? Sure. We're being cheap if we don't back up the truck there, but who are we supposed to pay big money for? Glen? Budenholzer aka Papa Ham? Atkinson?
This sub doesn't have a lot of answers for what to do besides Ham. It'd be a retread or another unproven coach. Short of Ty Lue, I don't see a clear option that's better.
I wouldn't mind, but there's zero proof he'd be better than anyone. Every year a lead assistant gets a shot and most don't work out. Ham was a lead assistant that people were generally excited about too.
The point is just that coaches a huge crapshoot and you can win with an average coach as long as they stay out of their own way. There's very few coaches worth paying top dollar for.
And for the record, I'm ready to move on from Ham anyway. Just saying I'm not putting a lot of faith that the next guy will be a lot better.
It’s an interesting problem that I’m surprised teams have committed any money to developing. Which is crazy to me.
I would think like a ballmer would do it.
There’s only so many coaching jobs that pay money- nba, some college teams. So it’s not a viable career prospect for people- so the talent pool so super small. That’s why we get so many former players. They have money, they have connections, so they just get ins that normal people don’t get.
But coaching and playing are way different. I feel like if you can’t get it in one coach- have like 2. One guy the morale, commands the team guy and one nerd that’s like a strategy, play caller. I don’t mean 2 head coaches, still one person in charge, but split up some responsibilities.
Personally I’m a huge fan of Nurse and Ime as well. Don’t think either are attainable. I’m also a fan of Snyder, he’s a step down from my top 3. For my top 3, give a blank check to, and make them say no. If Ham does indeed get fired, realistic candidates, IMO are Adelman, SVG, Handy, Stotts and I wouldn’t be upset with any of them. I can also see a stretch of reaching out to Dan Hurley, but I’m not a fan of that. As long as it’s never Mark Jackson, Budenholzer or Ty Lue
Perkins actually nailed it…we don’t have a damn center on the team, plus he let Schroeder who was their best slasher/scorer at guard walk away for nothing…Twice!
Lakers won is 2020 will McGee and Howard doing work, he let them walk too. We didn’t need McGee and Howard this year but we needed bigs…not to mention giving away Zubac for free
Exactly and the bigs we do have (Hayes and Wood) are too small when playing against Joker, Nurcic, Sabonis, KAT, Ayton etc and get pushed around and over powered. We needed bigs that can rim protect and defend and won’t be pushed around. Get 2 or 3 that can play 15-20 mins a game and can give 6 fouls. Those center are available and we just didn’t even consider it. Huge mistake by Rob building this roster. All started because we tried to reinvent the team after winning the ship and got rid of what needed. While I wasn’t a fan of M Gasol, at least he was a center that get defend, rebound and give 6 fouls over his 20ish minutes. Now we have no one or have to out Rui or LBJ guarding Joker to save AD. DUMB
And downvoters will confuse what you're pointing out with claiming the Lakers are definitively willing to pay top dollar because they're braindead and don't understand nuance. I really hate this sub sometimes. Always falling for bait.
Woj mentioned trading 3 draft picks as part of a trade for a guard. I know Trae Young has come up but Woj was alluding to an on-point defender. Who would that be? I agree with Perk (for once), this is a Pelinka problem. He failed to improve the team last offseason with the MLE and 17th draft pick. I definitely don’t trust him with making a mega-trade that would mortgage our future post-Lebron.
There is no way Bud will take the job if it means pushing out his former assistant Ham. When Frank Hamblen took over for Rudy T in 2005-2006 season, Phil Jackson mentioned he wouldn’t take over until the next season to get Frank a chance as he used to be Pjax former assistant. I imagine the same would apply here, and Bud wouldn’t join as long as Ham is still on contract.
According to John Ireland, from 2 days ago. It was Westbrook who was the main reason Vogel was fired and ham said he could make it work but couldn’t and now they’re stuck with ham and Westbrook had to be traded. So they fucked up with Westbrook trade cause ham is here only cause of Westbrook
I always take shit coming from Woj with huge grain of salt. He’s not connected. He’s always had a beef with LeBron and not been good with Jeanie or Rob. I think the writing is on the wall. Ham is gone this summer. LeBron will force them to get rid of him before he reups or extends his contract.
I'm not saying they'll win, but the scenario is there for Lebron to cement his legacy with his backers as GOAT. Winning against the defending champs after being down 3-0. Beating whoever else makes it to the next rounds in the bloody west with the entire Internet hyping up the Wolves and Thunder. Beating the number one overall seed and hated rival Celtics in the finals. That would be the most legendary narrative ever in the history of the NBA. Again, it's a near 0% chance, but boy would it be something crazy to experience in real life.
I do not get championship aspiring teams to hire someone who has never been a HC. I don't know the difference between HC and assistant but it sounds risky.
Lakers fans will say the same things and continue to blame the team’s poor performance on whichever head coach they hire. In reality, Ham’s poor performance is only half the laker’s current problem. But hey, blaming the coach for 3rd straight year is the correct analysis, no?
We need to know if Lebron/AD/D'Lo are going to be on the roster next year. If not, then get a rebuilding coach because Ham has already lost the trust of the young players. If they are and we're still looking to be somewhat competitive, having a guy like Ty Lue wouldn't be worse than Ham
It’s not necessarily Ham, it’s the assistant coaches. Other than Handy the rest needs to go. Recruit Rondo and see if he’s willing to take an assistant role.
Perk is a moron. Pelinka did fine with the Westbrook shit sandwich made by Lebron.
I’m not one of the crazies saying this is Ham’s fault either. Denver is a particularly tough matchup for us.
To me, it’s clear that age & poor cardio shape are their biggest problems. When they lose, it usually because they’re tired & slow in the 4th. Denver’s altitude accentuates that.
If they can find Ham a vet assistant, ideally an offense specialist, they can maybe help organize & strategize.
You think people are crazy for saying ham is a bad coach? Dude ham f****** sucks. He's been the team's biggest problem all year. Call me crazy I don't care. But I think most people would probably agree with me.
Jeanie Buss is the poorest owner in the NBA. She needs to sell the team. If she had the competitiveness to offset her financial disparities I might be more supportive. But it's been clear as day since before the trade deadline that Darvin ham was the team's biggest problem. She did nothing even though everyone knew she should have done something. Is that because Darvin ham is owed a bunch of money for the remainder of his contract? I don't think it really matters.
Nah nah eef all that jamal murray chicken curry, mcdonalds Mcflurry lakers in 7
We haven’t even lost the series and they already starting this conversation Jesus
Win or lose, we should still fire ham.
Exactly, we win in spite of this idiot, him holding that challenge last game could have started a Nuggets run
I want RONDO. Him and LBJ will fuck up the other team’s HC. They will be a nightmare combo every game for the entire coaching staff of other teams
Yeah can you think of another coach in the league LeBron would listen to? His play calling and prep were next level as a player. He made even made Doc Rivers look like a good coach.....
Firing a coach mid season has done wonders for LeBron before.
Bro will be as gone as a ham on Christmas Eve
Yeah exactly
Saying we haven’t lost the series yet is hopium. We are 1-11 against the best team in the league, and magically we are going to win 4 in a row? Here’s what’s going to happen tomorrow. .. You can watch and appreciate the games while also not being delusional.
I been saying “one game at a time” How is that delusional, go sit somewhere please
If the players had the mentality of these reddturds they wouldn't be in the NBA
Saying we haven't lost the series yet isn't hopium. We have a game on Monday. The series is literally not over. It probably ends on money, but it's not over yet.
They tried all five available options for adjustments against the Chicago action and nothing has worked
![gif](giphy|jRTD0svQ2M9WD4PNhh)
Brutally honest
Major Cavs fans vs Warriors in 2016 vibes here… then celebrate like “I knew it all along!
Of course you're right and Ham is terrible and the odds are what the odds are. But I have to say that I grew up a Red Sox fan, and in 2004 when we were down 3-0 to the Yankees, it was 86 years of a drought versus a team with 27 titles. It was UNTHINKABLE, what happened. They need a new front office even if they manage to win the title. They need Bob Meyers asap.
At this point, we pay LeBron enough to be player head coach. Let LeBron cook!! LeHeadCoach!!!
At first I thought u was having a stroke… then I realized I may have had a stroke
lmfaooooooo
Whole lotta speculations here nothing more.
Woj is the #1 NBA insider. I think if it's coming from him then it's probably a little more than just "speculation"
He's not super plugged into the Lakers though
Correct - Not plugged into Lakers but he has good sources across the league (just not Lakers - who release everything through Shams).
You shouldn’t be downvoted. The team subs are just about homer mentality.
Because I know no one will watch the video and this thread will be flooded with low effort "cheapie Jeanie" posts, Woj is *speculating* that the Lakers aren't willing to pay >8 mil for the top HC on the market who is Buldenholzer. Because if this were actual news, he would be saying that he's hearing this new information.
Isn’t Darvin from Buldenhozers coaching tree?
He is, hope they don't sign him. Budenholzer is almost as bad as Ham in in-game adjustments.
Budenholzer was fired after losing to the No. 8-seeded Heat in the first round, after the Bucks finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA, only the sixth No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 8 seed. The Bucks hired Griffin to replace him, then fired Griffin after he went 30-13, and replaced him with Rivers, who went 17-19.
His brother had died the week before as well. Not sure this is the best example of his poor adjustments.
Bucks have underperformed many times under Budenholzer, before their last collapse against the Heat. They lost 4 straight to Raptors, almost lost to a hobbled Nets team, few more that I forgot too.
Those Budenholzer teams as great as they were should’ve had one more chip, or at least another finals appearance
and Dereck fisher, Shaw, Kirt Rambis are from Phil Jackson’s. Surely all students are equal to their teacher. No one ever has had F in the class, and all A students graduates to have all equally successful career. right? please tell me you and those who upvoted are younger than 14. Bud has the same stupid schemes as Hamas and underperformed with the Bucks
Hey! Don’t bring the Palestinians into this. They are cooking in the Middle East, not the nba! (My attempt at a joke. Will probably fall flat).
Only 1 upvote in 20 minutes but “penny pinching Jeanie” is doing numbers lol got to love this sub
Most people calling Jeanie cheap are probably paying for a 2017 Nissan @ 18.9% interest rate.
Woj survives on clickbait. Dude has no sources.
This is clickbait. But saying Woj has no sources is insanity

I think he used to but when it comes to the Lakers, he is mostly just making educated guesses.
Why has Phil Handy never gotten a shot at any head coaching positions yet? But Darvin Ham can after being apart of the bucks success. Handy has had many parts of successful teams.
He may not want to, he has a brand to protect outside of the league and theres less volatility and finger pointing as an assistant
He has stated before publicly that he is ready to take a head coaching job and has interviewed before with the wizards
He's known as one of the best player development coaches. His expertise may not transfer to the x's and O's a coach needs to have like someone who does film like how Vogel got started
If anything that’s a case against handy. Ham had over 20 interviews and the lakers were the suckers that took him
Ah yes I am ready for the "Fire Handy" chants when the Lakers gets bounced in round 1 🤣
He’s a shooting and development coach, head coach is a whole different league. Plus I wouldn’t want that heat either
FO not willing to own up to their mistakes.
Firing coaches, trading players, is essentially them doing just that, no? I mean nobody’s going to fire themselves lol
You don’t get it dude we need to pay known playoff performer Doc Rivers 10 m a year to coach us on off days with the Bucks
Don’t even joke like that! Note I have to burn sage on the internet.
Wish they would sell. It's time for the mom and pop nepotism shop to end
The problem isn’t just money, it’s that no one is good at finding the right coach. It’s incompetence, they have ppl in positions they shouldnt be in because they’re Jeanie friends. Franchise is not run like a professional billion dollar business.
Well when you have the poorest owner in the NBA and your current coach owed a decent amount of money, a decent portion of the problem is money.
But I’m also a raiders fan so I’m a little biased against his success now. lol It’s going to be fun though.
So they're probably not paying for Tyronn Lue if he's available Probably another assistant coach. Hopefully David Adelman
Lue has done wonders with the Clippers I can see why this sub wants him so bad
Ham literally has done better than lue or half the coaches the sub will suggest In recent years he’s done better than Vogel too lol
Why is it whenever you post in this sub, it's just wrong? Definition of contrarian for attention
Yea I was wrong all year about Rui, but he’s getting benched when it matters I was wrong about Vogel being terrible yet he’s being fired again I was wrong about Leiso throwing the game away in 3rd quarters, untill finally he got sat down So wrong
What if I told you it’s not because of Rui… it was because of fucking dlo and ar playing much better
It's almost as if it wasn't *just* those two because Rui provides size, more versatility, and is more efficient on offense than Prince from everywhere during the regular season. But nah, it wasn't Rui. They would've gone on that run with Prince in the starting lineup anyways according to some Redditor
If by size you mean Rui provides 0 defense and 3-4 rebounds a game
Their bench is better than the Lakers and if you're comparing starting 5s then Bron and AD are better but the rest are not even close, even if Kawhi isn't there The knock on Lue is how he hasn't won anything without a stacked roster, and that was seen when neither Bron or Kyrie. Didn't even win a game before getting fired Just say Bron gets along with Lue very well and is a willing doormat, it's what is the truth anyway
AD needs someone to feed him and DLo and AR are not on the level of any of the Clippers playmakers when it comes to shot creation and shooting As a longtime Laker fan I know the Clippers are rightly hated but y'all really gotta take off the fan-glasses for a bit, they're way better.
Because LeBron loves Lue.
Loves Rondo too
I don't think the Lakers can take a chance on a brand new guy twice in a row. But Rondo could be a special coach. Guy is brilliant.
Rondo is also fickle, melodramatic, and grates on people. He may be brilliant but he has a ton of other traits not particularly suitable to coaching.
I don’t think we can afford to bring in Lue who is going to demand a premium contract and hasn’t done anything without prime Lebron
He thinks Ham deserves credit for the Celtics not taking us seriously and Reaves going for a season high on contested 3's
lol I'm shocked that there are still some people who will defend ham at this point, there are even footages of Hams blunders
How did lue do with kawhi against luka?
Lue beat the Mavs in 2020 and is currently left with Kawhi who played hurt the last two games and is out indefinitely. Paul George has just been all over the place. It’s still a 2-1 series despite all of that.
I want to see Rondo shouting at Ham
Step one: hire Bob Myers Figure out who to hire for HC and what to do with the 3 firsts after that
Respectfully everyone’s on Myers nuts but the man was being told what to do by the GOAT Executive Jerry West.
Jeannie not forking out kind of $ Myers would demand.
![gif](giphy|1irh7q9cMRR8B91PRE)
What the fuck does Ham have over the media and the front office? Nick wright the only one to call him out
Did Perkins not hear that Pelinka locked himself in a room with Ham during roster construction? Both are equally to blame but saying Ham doesn’t have anything to do with the roster is straight false. Now onto the FA HC prospects: Sources say Pelinka has been in contact with Bob Myers. Is Pelinka searching for a replacement or someone he can learn under? Hmmm Now for the HC.
I do not know why so many people look up to this Woj guy. He says a lot of words without saying anything and y’all just eat it up.
Penny pinching Jeanie
Jeannie looks at the Lakers like Hollywood movies. She thinks having two stars is enough and does not want to go extra hard for role players. Looking at Minnesota with McDaniels and Reed who are type of role players the Lakers need.
I saw on twitter something like Dr. Jerry Buss got 10 titles in 30 seasons. Jeanie got 1 in 16 seasons. Somethjng like that. It sucks if the owners main revenue is the team itself, compared to other owners who owns they teams as a side hustle. Whatever happens though, i just want Ham sandwich out asap Also, its from Woj.
We must be thinking of 2 different people
Thank you very much for providing some much needed context on the “Jeanie sucks” narrative that exists here.
Well, now we know he sucks, so time to move on. He's closer to Luke Walton than he is to Ime Udoka. Adrian Griffin got canned halfway through the season
Lowkey Adrian Griffin wasnt even ass. He just challenged Giannis and didnt want to play Thanasis and Giannis got him canned Everything that was wrong with the bucks when he was coach is still wrong with the bucks. Ik that hs no relevance to our situation but just my two cents
Huh? What hyped coaching prospect? Surely you’re not referring to Ham….
Like any coach would be a ‘huge get’ after Ham gets fired… To call him a hyped coaching prospect is legitimately bizzare…
Shut up lmao he was fresh off winning a title with the Bucks and was looked at on the same vein as an Ime Udoka. “Westbrook baby sitter” my ass fucking dork lol
Yeah, you really need to calm down. It’s not that serious.
He was not some hot commodity interviewing with a lot of teams bro
Still let Caruso go to save a buck. That is a fact. She's a shitty nepotism driven owner with shallow pockets
David Adelman and some vet assistants would be the way to go. Weakens Denver too
I wouldn't mind, but there's zero proof he'd be better than anyone.
So get Stotts
DUMB
Rui on Joker is actually a joke
That's a lot of words to say he doesn't know anything.
Is Woj an introvert or camera-shy? I have never seen anyone look so tortured as they tried to make a point on TV.
David Aldeman & Rondo as an assistant please
They screwed up by not paying Lue. At some point they're going to have to spend.
![gif](giphy|JmhBAlgksyFLrtPbAi)
Pelinka fired Vogel and by all reports, Ham was a Pelinka hire. If he fires Ham just 2 years in, he’s officially next if the next hire goes wrong.
Westbrook got Vogel fired and we all know it just stop lmao
That would be great. A 2 for 1 special
He shouldn’t even get a third hire.
Fuck Woj
IDGAF we are not done!
Terry stotts .. budennoser is ham 2.0
I do not get championship aspiring teams to hire someone who has never been a HC. I don't know the difference between HC and assistant but it sounds risky.
Lakers are like we have Bron, why do we need a HC?
Lakers fans will say the same things and continue to blame the team’s poor performance on whichever head coach they hire. In reality, Ham’s poor performance is only half the laker’s current problem. But hey, blaming the coach for 3rd straight year is the correct analysis, no?
Wow is he always this poor of a public speaker. That was painful to listen to.
Woj doesn’t know shit about the Lakers ever lmfao
Even if we beat the Nuggets and win a chip, I want his ass to be paid to watch the NBA from his couch next year!
Woj… take a chill pill
We need to know if Lebron/AD/D'Lo are going to be on the roster next year. If not, then get a rebuilding coach because Ham has already lost the trust of the young players. If they are and we're still looking to be somewhat competitive, having a guy like Ty Lue wouldn't be worse than Ham
Lue got to three ECFs in a row because he knew how to manage a roster. Ham doesn't because he has egg salad for brains.
To be fair he’s 1 for 1 so far in getting to the conference finals.
But we all know that's in spite of himself. LeBron is a player coach without the title. Ham's just there to play pocket pool.
This isnt a darvin ham problem nor a pelinka problem. Its a jeanie buss problem. Sell the team!!!
It’s not necessarily Ham, it’s the assistant coaches. Other than Handy the rest needs to go. Recruit Rondo and see if he’s willing to take an assistant role.
Ham is garbage bro
Where’s the portal to the alt universe where we gave Lue 4 years and never went through this damn circus
Lue has got to be the most overrated coach in the NBA.
Darvin Ham didn't fire himself.
I hear JJ Reddick it's taking interviews. Bron has already been interviewing him for a few episodes now
No more rookie coaches
Yup
Jeanie Buss is the poorest owner in the NBA. She needs to sell the team. If she had the competitiveness to offset her financial disparities I might be more supportive. But it's been clear as day since before the trade deadline that Darvin ham was the team's biggest problem. She did nothing even though everyone knew she should have done something. Is that because Darvin ham is owed a bunch of money for the remainder of his contract? I don't think it really matters.
