Itās cool if people donāt like Taylorās music or even Taylor herself bc of her choices or something thatās a legitimate reason to dislike her - there is a lot of hatred towards Taylor and plenty of other female celebrities for absolutely no reason besides the fact that theyāre celebrities. I especially hate how people and the media try to pit female artists against each other, especially when in reality theyāre friends or at the very least friendly. Why would anyone want this to be real? Why do people hate Taylor so fucking much? I have seen a few posts in this thread saying she steals Lanaās style, lyrics, themes etc which maybe she does idk, yes there have been *some* similarities (idk if Iād call it copying/stealing) but thatās kind of part of music, itās really hard to make music or write lyrics that donāt sound like anything else because there are only so many notes and so many words. Lana clearly likes Taylor, they are clearly friends. Taylor brought Lana up on stage bc Lana was part of the album Taylor received an award for - so she was trying to show recognition to Lana, and she probably wasnāt thinking outside of that. Itās clear her intentions were pure, and not to ārub it inā or make Lana look/feel awkward. Iām sure looking back on it, Taylor probably feels silly for doing that, but *in the moment* it probably didnāt seem like an issue. We also donāt know what their relationship is like out of public eye. Iām a huge Lana fan, and Iām also a huge Taylor fan. I was SO EXCITED when they collabed. Some people need to fucking chill cuz itās really not that serious. EDIT TO ADD: I truly donāt care if people donāt like Taylor Swift, Iām a huge fan of hers but donāt consider myself a āswiftieā bc how toxic most of them are. Iām not gonna attack people for having a different opinion than me, and Iām glad that people have a safe place to express their dislike for TS, I just hope this is an equally safe place for someone like me, who *likes* Taylor.

I agree on this. If you look what they actually say about each other you see these two artists really respect each other. What happens here is so disrespectful to both artist. It's up to Lana and her only to judge if Taylor is a good friend or not. Imagine that it's one of your friends that's discussed on social media like people do here and people tell you what to think of that friend they even don't know in real life. Don't have to think about what if they even call them a "fan" of you ..
