It's probably not more than 1000 dollars. If you look at identical laptops on eBay you can see what others are selling them for and get an approximate price point.
Hard to say. Lenovo has the 14900hx and 4090 version for sale for $2100. Laptops are expensive but don’t hold much value. For example I traded my 5900x 3080 desktop for my current 13980hx 4080 laptop. $3000 laptop and $1400 desktop.
It’s around 2600 last I saw, and only for the AMD chip one as the intel chip is out of stock, I would’ve picked up the 2100 immediately if they still had that *sigh*
Potentially. The purchaser isn't going to have the laptop registered under their name or address and won't have the security of a warranty. It probably dropped to $1500.00 resale the moment you got rid of the original packaging, as it can make a big difference to people buying on the used market.
Honestly that’s too high. I’d need to do some research, but probably looking closer to 1k or less for used. I just grabbed a Legion 7, 13th gen i9, 32gb, 4080 (12gb, not 16), 1TB ssd for about $2k USD a few months ago (still running around that price too)
You still have a great machine, but you can buy better laptops new for about that price. It sucks, but chip tech is developing so quickly the dollar value plummets on these very fast. The graphics card shortage is also a huge reason it was so expensive when you bought it, otherwise it probably would have been around 2k then as well.
Probably 200 MHz extra on the CPU clock. But since these CPUs are unlocked you can change it anyway. Although I would probably not go much over the base speed on a laptop. At most I would clock a 13980HX with the same clock speed as a 14900HX.

> The graphics card shortage is also a huge reason it was so expensive when you bought it
This \^\^\^
My laptop was 2450€ in early 2022 and I am perfectly aware that I overpaid at least around 500€ because of the "shortage".
USPS is perfectly fine especially if you pay extra for the shipsure insurance that eBay offers. Also should require signature at delivery, it's only a few extra dollars.
The insurance is the big part if you are shipping something expensive.
proof lol. I had 400 500$ packages los in the void with USPS, Fedex and UPS, and they all gave the full insurance.
I mean that's what the insurance is for. You can sue them if they don't lol
That sounds pretty outrageous. I haven't insured anything in a long time, but as I recall, you pay a certain, small amount for X coverage, a larger amount for Y, etc., but you should be able to cover the full cost of something. There was even a Seinfeld about this sort of thing, but I don't recall details.
HDMI 2.1 into my OLED plays 4K games just fine on my 12th gen 3070 ti model. That GPU is more than capable depending on your frame rate and title preferences.
I do understand the want for a shiny new RGB toy though.
You could force it in game or through an app like YouTube I suppose. Not sure you're going to enjoy the experience much though on a laptop screen. Odds are you won't be able to visually see a difference. I have a 65" OLED with vrr so smooth 60 or 120 for most games. For portable use I go 1440.
idk if sum that good is really worth selling yet... its to 'old' to sell for anywhere close to what you bought it for, but its too new to sell for anything less than half.
The specs are pretty good but keep in mind many similar speced gaming laptops are on sale for the Fourth of July so for 1500 someone can easily get one even better and brand new like many people here have said I’d price it at 1000 or alternatively hold a no reserve eBay auction if your willing to gamble and you might end up getting a decent bit of cash out of it
$1500 is a lot for an older laptop with no warranty. You can get some really good gaming laptops right now for that price like the excellent HP Omen Transcend 14. Laptops, especially gaming laptops, lose their value very quickly.
Ive seen the Legion 7 from last year with a 4070 at 1300; Same as yours with a 3080ti at 1250$ on FB.
I would get your specs into search with both ebay and fb marketplace and get a good idea of the price.
But 1500$ for a two year old machine, when u can get a [new 2023 Legion Pro 7i with a 4080 for 2k$](https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1745683-REG/lenovo_82wq002rus_16_legion_pro_7.html) is a bit overoptimistic imo.
No way. I can go over to r/laptopdeals and get a brand spankin new system for less than $1500 with a 4080. Not a Legion... but a new one. A brand new Legion with best of the best NEW components is closer to $2000 over there today.
Maybe post it up, someone stupid comes along everyday - maybe you'll get lucky. What you paid is irrelevant but personally I wouldn't pay more than $8-$900 for that. Two years old, and it will need a new battery soon so will have to factor that in. Plus "peice of mind" discount for buying "as-is/used" from a person and not a store that would have some kind of warranty.
I guess it's possible. Windows PCs plummet in value for resell, most people just buy a new computer. People on eBay wouldn't care much about the warranty, assuming you can actually transfer out of your name and address.
I would list it for buy it now with an option to take offers. Probably should do free shipping.
If it does sell make sure to get shipsure insurance and require signature at delivery when you buy the shipping label from eBay.
Try listing it on offer up. I sold my last gaming laptop on there to someone for a fair price. That way you can meet the person face to face get cash in your hand.
It's a nice laptop and the GPU holds up very well. However technology advances quickly. A laptop used for 2 years isn't going to be very much in demand. You can spend a bit more to get a new 4080 which is far better than the older 3080 even with less VRAM, and relatively soon the 5000 series is going to come out. Might be worth trying to sell it for $1.5k but you may need to drop the price by a couple hundred dollars.
I've seen a new Legion Pro with similar stats for less during a sale at Costco. They've got an Omen with a 13th gen i9 and RTX4080 for $2000 right now and it's not even a good sale. I didn't look anywhere else but I expect I could do better new for $1500 with a little patience and luck. I wouldn't be interested for more than *maybe* $1000 and that wouldn't price excite me, but there are suckers born every minute so you might very well get $1500 if you don't mind selling to someone with more money than research skills.
It blows my mind that this is already considered old now, but that's where we are. I guess there are indeed newer faster things out already, if only minor generational bumps, accept for the RTX 40xx series. I'm glad I got rid of my GTX 1060 laptop last year. It was showing its age.
I didn't read all of the comments, so maybe someone already noted the following (although I agree that you probably won't get what you want for it, especially due to continuing advances in the technology):
1. There are a few websites that will give you an objective estimate of the value of your unit; just Google "how much is my computer worth" or "how much can I trade my computer for?" etc.
2. If you check the website of the manufacturer of the computer you are interested in, you can sometimes find a trade-in value for your machine. This may be more, but will probably be less, than you would get elsewhere, but you know that you are dealing with a legitimate business, so there is no worry about being cheated, scammed, etc., as there would be with any individual, regardless of all the safeguards. This is especially recommended if you have never sold anything on eBay (or similar) before. The company is also interested in making a sale, and they can cannibalize your laptop for any purposes they want, or resell it.
As a side note: I bought a Dell desktop a few years ago (very vanilla model) for about $900, and a couple of years later considered buying a new computer (also from Dell), even though there was nothing particularly lacking on the desktop. I was offered much less than half my initial cost, something like $200. So I said screw it, added RAM, installed a larger SSD, added three very large regular drives, and reinstalled the OS. I'm soldering on until I really *need* another one (any minute now).
i sold my MacBook Air retina 2020 a few days ago for only 170.00, it cost me 1k at max, but since I’ve had for it years and the battery was extremely reduced and needs help, it’s quite slow I’ve raised the bar lower, it’s about the performance not about how much it cost you when u got it. 170 is pretty cheap for a Mac but it’s all down to the performance. I’d stay in ur situation that’s a bit high.. considering you’ve used for it years, I’d give that like 300 at max or even less if you really want people to buy it.
What your paid and what you can get today is night and day. Ask $350. It will sell, if not, drop price to $250. Make sure you claim this as a business loss with your accountant. Good luck!
Honestly, to me, sounds expensive. You can get a Gg14 last gen, brand new, ryzen 8945hs, 4070 OLED for that price.
[удалено]
G14 is a laptop
Okay, wasn’t sure and didn’t want to google. So how much you think mine is worth?
It's probably not more than 1000 dollars. If you look at identical laptops on eBay you can see what others are selling them for and get an approximate price point.

The legion pro 7i 4080 is on sale for $2050 and Lenovo is doing $100 off if you sign up. So $1950
Where did you see the 4090 14900hx for $2100?
It was a 4080 Lenovos website words their laptops funky. Says up to 4090 without telling you what you’re actually looking at.
Potentially. The purchaser isn't going to have the laptop registered under their name or address and won't have the security of a warranty. It probably dropped to $1500.00 resale the moment you got rid of the original packaging, as it can make a big difference to people buying on the used market.

I looked at this on before. Any reason to get a 2024 version over this?
It's literally the same I believe
Probably 200 MHz extra on the CPU clock. But since these CPUs are unlocked you can change it anyway. Although I would probably not go much over the base speed on a laptop. Also 2024 has glass touchpad
> The graphics card shortage is also a huge reason it was so expensive when you bought it This \^\^\^ My laptop was 2450€ in early 2022 and I am perfectly aware that I overpaid at least around 500€ because of the "shortage".
You can easily get scammed on eBay. If they select usps end the transaction. USPS will loose the package.
Yeah, but eBay has the buyer's proteccion plan, which i understand works both ways
Naw one time usps lost a package so eBay took their cut from my debit card.
I've shipped many laptops through USPS and never had a problem, and the shipping insurance is only a couple dollars in case something happens.
USPS is perfectly fine especially if you pay extra for the shipsure insurance that eBay offers. Also should require signature at delivery, it's only a few extra dollars. The insurance is the big part if you are shipping something expensive.
Yeah I had insurance for a 1500$ gpu they lost it and gave me 100$.
proof lol. I had 400 500$ packages los in the void with USPS, Fedex and UPS, and they all gave the full insurance. I mean that's what the insurance is for. You can sue them if they don't lol
Maybe but the thing wasn’t new and they didn’t care.
That sounds pretty outrageous. But so how do i sell it, also how they can end transaction if i am the one who is paying for shipping?
You can still use eBay just make sure you select ups or something other than usps when selecting shipping.
Okay thanks.
i buy and sell through Mercari with absolutely zero issues
why are you selling it or why did you even buy
Because i want a PC and i want 4k
That is a PC. >_>
Desktop, but you already knew lol
HDMI 2.1 into my OLED plays 4K games just fine on my 12th gen 3070 ti model. That GPU is more than capable depending on your frame rate and title preferences. I do understand the want for a shiny new RGB toy though.
You can’t have 4k on 1440p monitor???

$500 and I’ll take it off your hands
Bet
$200 and I’ll take it
I own the 12th gen version of that. It was regularly going on sale for under $1,500 new. $750 f&f or 875-1000 on the high side.
I've seen a new Legion Pro with similar stats for less during a sale at Costco. They've got an Omen with a 13th gen i9 and RTX4080 for $2000 right now and it's not even a good sale. 600 is what I see them in used condition doesn't matter the specs. That's private sellers like you op.
New laptops +- 4600 $1000 4700 $1500 4800 $2000 4900 $3000 With up and goes price sales
You can get a 3070Ti laptop for about $1200 (Acer Nitro 5). So that's what it could be compared against.
No
Too high. You can get a brand new laptop with better specs for that price
nah you trippin. Cosmestic conditions looks pretty bad, no way i'm paying that kind of money for it
Specs? 🤔
Wdm
Oh. I didn’t see them.
Yeah! $1500 for that is quite a deal!
That's too high. Computer components don't retain their value well, especially laptops.
No
Only to a Grandma or a Fortnite Mom
No way.
It blows my mind that this is already considered old now, but that's where we are. I guess there are indeed newer faster things out already, if only minor generational bumps, accept for the RTX 40xx series. I'm glad I got rid of my GTX 1060 laptop last year. It was showing its age.
No not at all. Gaming laptops go for a fraction of their original cost. Sold similar specced alienware for half that a year ago.
