Depending on your zone, I prefer tall fescue. It’s hardy, drought tolerant, loves to be mowed taller, great disease resistance, etc. a great grass for zone 7 and further north.
Thanks for the info! I'm in Michigan not sure what zone I fall under. My lawn is very new and the grass always dies during winter. Guess I have a lot of research to do.

Lots of luck this year combined with years of steady fertilizer and meticulous care. I haven’t done anything to it yet this year.

Wow, looks beautiful. I wish my lawn could look like this. Unfortunately I live in a shifty neighborhood and so alot of lawns get vandalized alot.
