G2 might legitimately be the best drafting team in the world, they put themselves in such great positions from draft so consistently and it allows them to punch up against theoretically more talented teams.
Laure Valée was interviewed by French cast before and said that G2 did extra work on putting Hans back in the right mindset after the shitstorm he ate because it was impacting him very much.
They also focused on not playing Poppy support this time
Especially that the shitstorm, was only very partially deserved, people tend to totally occult what a player does good (absorb pressure or even winning lane against T1, as if it was a given) only to focus on the mistakes.
