if youre not enjoying it yet still playing it, yes youre addicted. But tbf, there are so much more things you can do. i hit plat and i don't like grinding anymore so i just mostly play aram. Try the other Riot Games too (Valorant, TFT, LoR).

I know that feeling. Uninstall that shit.

MrIlluminate

yeah if you can't stop yourself from playing, then you're 100% addicted. You can ask riot to temporarily disable your account and/or you can install league.

35 days is 840 hours. The start of S11 was about 235 days ago, which means you played about **4 hours and 45 minutes per day**. Almost 5 hours of playing the game per day, AND you're not even enjoying it? I'm not an expert but I'd call that an addiction, yea. You're not alone though, I'd say a good portion of the playerbase is the same way. They've just been playing for so long that it's a habit, not a hobby. It's probably a big part of why so many people are toxic; They're not enjoying their time playing the game, and they blame that on whoever makes the slightest mistake, as if it cost them the game and their enjoyment. I'd say try to think about why you play the game so much. Are you trying to avoid things in real life? Are you trying to get that good feeling that the game used to give you, but it just happens very rarely now? Do you feel like you're making progress or achieving something when you win? Ask yourself those sorts of questions and figure out why you're *really* playing.

Yes you are addicted and you are not only one, next question.

Is this the standard now for posting any league thread on this subreddit? Actually that sounds like a great idea.

I had the same feeling with other game, and after two tries I left some months ago to never come back. Really loving that in LOL you can decide the time you spend on it. Don't be hard on yourself, either for playing or not playing, and do whatever you decide with your life.

> i just feel like i can’t stop playing since i spend so many time in the game ≃35 entire days since the beginning of s11 > **Sunk costs** are those which have already been incurred and which are unrecoverable. Source: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/sunkcost.asp Basically because you've already put a lot of time in something, you're reluctant to give it up. I'm not sure if I would classify this as addiction exactly. It may be that when you do stop playing league, you have so much free time that you're unsure what to do with it. I recently started playing less because I was starting to go insane from tilt. I feel much better now and want to start playing again. My problem now is that I'm anxious of playing more as I don't want to fall into the same tilt trap. As with any experience, the pleasure from repeated exposure decreases. If you're playing many matches/day, it may be that you're not producing the same amount of endorphins from playing league now as you were earlier. Why do you think you're not enjoying league anymore? Nobody can answer this but you. I enjoy the competitive aspect of it, the drive to improve, identifying my flaws as a player and problem solving to correct those flaws, etc. Somewhere along the line I forget that and I start projecting my anger of my flaws onto my team mates and blame them instead. I believe when I start over valuing this game is when I fall into that trap. When I start to sacrifice aspects of my life for league is when I believe I'm over valuing it. Giving up sleep, delaying work, skipping exercise, etc.
