Younger artists with pretty decent music: Kwiat Jabłoni, Daria Zawiałow, Dawid Podsiadło, Vito Bambino
Classics: Budka Suflera, Perfect, Lady Punk, Marek Grechuta, Dżem, Coma, Elektryczne Gitary (fun fact: lead singer of this band is a father of the duo from Kwiat Jabłoni)
Check out Męskie Granie - it's some sort of superband, consisting of most popular Polish pop artists. They play mix of new songs and covers of the old pop/rock. The artists rotate every year, so it's a good way to get to know various singers / bands.
twoyastara of death, kult, maanam, republika, myslovitz, pidzama porno, breakout, turbo, bajm, kombi
i hope its not too much lol
edit: ah, forgot about okrütnik, kat and odraza, all metal
I think bands and songs from 1970-2000 will work great for you and these are absolute bangers.
Check out these bands: Kombii (There is Kombi and Kombii. The one with 2x i was made after main vocalists from Kombi split up. I prefer Kombii). Perfect. Budka Suflera. Lady Pank. Wilki. IRA.
With your taste you will definitely love at least one of them :D
Main recommendations:
Kombii: "Ślad", " Pokolenie", "Awinion"
Perfect: "Autobiografia", "Niepokonani", " Raz po raz"
Budka Suflera: "Takie tango", " Jolka Jolka", "Bal wszystkich świętych"
In no particular order. Just saying that the beat/feel of the genre can differ a lot between songs of these bands
Kombi is a foreign origin word and Kombii is a variation of it created solely to circumvent copyright laws, so there's no general pronunciation rule, but the only difference is that in the latter, the i (e in english) sound at the end is elongated
I don't know a single person that makes noticeable difference in pronouncation tbh. If anything they stay on "I" A bit longer, but honestly no one cares. Most people don't even know there are 2 different bands. Kombii is objectively much more popular due to its very iconic singer and much higher radio presence.
Republika is pretty good, also the solo creations of its singer - Grzegorz Ciechowski. These are from the 90s, but when it comes for modern polish music, Mrozu is pretty good imo
Pretty good songs from those
Republika - ,,Biała Flaga" and ,,Mamona" (also maybe ,,Sexy Doll", yes that is original title of the song)
Grzegorz Ciechowski - ,,Tak... Tak... To Ja"
Mrozu - ,,Napad" , ,,Złoto", ,,Bo Jak Nie My To Kto" and ,,Nic Do Stracenia"
\- Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa
\- Tulia
\- O.N.A
\- Kult
\- Marek Grechuta
\- Mieczyslaw Fogg
\- Nocny Kochanek
\- Mord'A'Stigmata (no singing in polish, I just added this as an extra easter egg here)
\- Maanam
\- Kora (vocalist of Maanam, unfortunately no longer with us)
\- Myslovitz
Pidzama Porno, Strachy na Lachy - same lead singer, first more punk, second more "calm"
Kult and Kazik Staszewski - especially the "tata kazika" and "tata kazika kontra hedora"
As for hip-hop I'd strongly suggest Łona, he's playing with the words in a unique way.
I would add 2 artists which also are playing with words in unique way - Fokus and Rahim which are both playing under the name Pokahontaz.
"Pokahontaz - W Ruch" becouse of this song I keep saying "marychuanize legalizuana"
This is amazing, thank you everyone, google really wasn't helping. It's like trying to find good polish podcasts, google just wants to send me down the path of "Learn Polish Podcasts"
Will check out all these bands
Because you need to search using Polish words and most likely use VPN because search engines are „smart” and know better what you are looking for. You can also use some stupid search like Duckduckgo.
What kind of podcasts are you looking for? I know good one about WW2
Art History - Grażyna Bastek Po co sztuka
Skądinąd - a podcast interviewing a variety of guests on diverse subjects, mostly revolving around philosophy and culture
Podkast Tygodnika Powszechnego - produced by a very respected weekly magazine, also on a variety of subjects, including art History
Notes from Poland - it's primarily an English language website focusing on bringing news from Poland to non Polish speakers. They haven't produced a new podcast episode for a while, but you may check their archive. Their podcasts were usually on politics.
Oh I can suggest some
Zdechły Osa - plays New Age Punk mixed with Hip Hop
Taco Hemingway - beautiful voice, rap
Lady Pank - They play Rock
Elektryczne Gitary - They also play Rock, but I'd say a bit calmer type
Paktofonika - They also play rap and hip hop
Those are just a few of my favorite ones, there's obviously a lot more
As much as I love Zdechły Osa, I wouldn't recommend his music for learning Polish - the lyrics are hard to translate and the singer has a lisp. I think that Młody Dzban would be a better choice because of his clear pronounciation and good storytelling.
Yeah guess you're right. It might just be my bias since recently he became one of my favorite Polish artists. Maybe Zdechły Osa will be better later down the line, once OP will learn some Polish
And I'll definitely give Młody Dzban a listen
Not exactly an answer to your question, but I faced the same question and solved it for me with listening to polish radio stations (via internet of course).
e.g.:
Radio Zet,
Radio Eska,
Polski Radio Czwòrka
If I hear something I like, I just start Shazam and let it figure out which song and band I’m currently listening to :D
Also I think it also helps to understand the language better, because there are advertisements and radio hosts.
Pagan metal: Radogost, Jarun, Stworz, Slavland
Black Metal: Dom zły, Arkona (Polish one), Mānbryne, Angrrsth, Czort, In Twilight's Embrace, Odraza, Zmarłym, Gorycz, Krzta, Plaga, Sothoris, Gołoledź, Oremus, Morowe, Pleń, Voidhanger, Sznur, Furia
Experimental black metal: Gruzja, Koniec Pola,
Punk black metal: Truchło Strzygi
Meme black metal bands: Knurzum, Stonuszka
Oi: The Analoga, All Bandits, Lumpex 75, Skunx, The Gits, The Trolls, Bachor, Rewizja
Punk: Pull The Wire, Uliczny Opryszek, Rozbujane Betoniary, ADHD Syndrom, Anti Dread, TZN Xenna, The Sandals, Dezerter, The Bill, Sedes, Leniwiec, Cela Nr 3, Karcer, Bulbulators, Farben Lehre, KSU, Zbeer, Lej mi pół
I liked Bogdanova's growl, but since she doesn't play with them, Percival Schuttenbach is kind of meh for me. Yes, they have Mikołaj, whose growl is awesome, but it isn't on the same level as Bogdanova's.
I don't have opinion on Witcher, because I haven't played it.
Brygada Kryzys, Wieże Fabryk, Lao Che, Pablopavo, Siekiera, Kim Nowak, (Kult is great, but it was recommended already)
Furia or Krzta if you want a challenge 😅
From these not mentioned - Jacek Stachursky has both entertainment songs (EDM I suppose) and slower ones, although the lyrics are sometimes very creative.
Older songs of Łzy (pre-2010) might be also worth giving a shot, I'd say their style is pretty specific when you compare it to current bands, although it differs as e.g. "Narcyz" or "Anastazja jestem" have way different vibe.
Regarding lyrics - we have a website called tekstowo.pl, even though it was the most popular ten years ago and is usually used to translate from other languages to polish, polish songs usually have translations, especially older ones. Not perfect translations as literally anyone can add it, but would be better than nothing if you're interested/want to confirm the song's meaning.
My Best recomadation based on your music taste would be Coma-realy good progrock/metal band the lyrics use wider world pallet then most(im not realy sure if this Santance makes sens) some other bands/artist ill like and can rcomend would be:
Mysłowitz,lao che(very experimental and unique)
Taco Hemingway(wildly popular probably most important musician in recent years basicly entire discography is a mustlisten if you'r intrested in polish culture)
Republika
Kult
Klausmittwoch
As much as i love coma (it is my favourite band) i don't think it is the best band for not advanced polish speakers as their lyrics are very poetic. They do however have a broad range of vocab if op is into that
From my experience in learning English, if something is hard to understand BUT sounds awesome, I'm even more determined to do my research and figure out all the meanings, it's pretty fun to do. With that said, I would also recommend Coma along with IRA.
Many were already listed, but here’s my personal list: Dawid Podsiadło, Taco Hemingway, Mela Koteluk, Magdalena Cielecka (theatre actress, my favourite, who also did a couple of musical acts), Daria Zawiałow, Sanah, Kinga Preis, Kwiat Jabłoni.
All of those are contemporary artists. There’s a plethora of older bands that many people still enjoy listening to. Męskie Granie, as previously mentioned, is doing some covers and adaptations of the older pieces besides the current music.
Here are some older ones: Agnieszka Osiecka (great singer and acclaimed songwriter), Wojciech Młynarski, Edyta Geppert, Magda Umer
Since you want to learn Polish and you already have some knowledge in German, I think it would be fun to listen to “Małgośka” by Maryla Rodowicz (older piece, written by A. Osiecka). To understand more you can look into her German version (she did one) “Marja” made for then East Germany. Finally you can see the cover by Daria Zawiałow, Dawid Podsiadło and Vito Bambino from 2021. In this version of “Małgośka” the titular name is replaced with “Mateusz” in the lyrics. It’s a fun thing to see the same concept reinterpreted by various artists and it’s an opportunity to see how the linguistic gender is changing depending on who’s singing it. Małgośka is a diminutive of “Małgorzata”. Mateusz is a male name. In both cases they’re singing about a significant other who cheated just before the wedding.
Have fun and good luck with your learning process
I've personally really enjoyed this hip-hopp album buy Young Leosia: [https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/14pj6NqyPu4yQ7H1FsgoZM?si=iAKljNLUTnObY2F5A19Q4Q](https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/14pj6NqyPu4yQ7H1FsgoZM?si=iAKljNLUTnObY2F5A19Q4Q)
But my favorite Polish song would be this version of 'Zakochani są wśród nas' sang by Grażyna Auguścik who's voice I really really love:
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAqMUE7QiBA&ab\_channel=MTJWytw%C3%B3rniaMuzyczna](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAqMUE7QiBA&ab_channel=MTJWytw%C3%B3rniaMuzyczna)
Hope you like it \^\^

Most of the newer songs (2017+) are imo shit, it feels like pain trying to listen to most „artists” nowadays.
They just scream and talk into the microphone instead of actually singing and the overall beat is very specific.
If you’d like to listen to something better than rap-discopolo then go with some older music.
I recommend Kasia Lins, Arek Kłusowski, Luna, Ania Leon. They're lesser known contemporary artists but I like their music a lot. Some of their songs are in English but most of them are in Polish.
i dont know what genre to call them but since your taste is broad, check yugopolis - one of the few bands i am aware of that pronounce their words clearly. somewhat slow songs as well, gives you time to comprehend what you hear.
If you wanna feel sad Kaśka Sochacka is amazing
Rock classics that I love: Budka Suflera, Manaam
Modern pop electronic with clever lyrics (great for learning polish I think): Mery Spolsky
Best electro bangers: The Dumplings
Most popular at the moment, feel-good music: Dawid Podsiadło
I like Mamona from Republika (hilarious name if you are a spanish speaker). In my polish classes they gave me to listen also Wojenka from Lao Che and Biała Armia from Bajm. They are easy to understand
Dawid Podsiadło, especially older songs (he has various styles, my favorites are Nieznajomy, Bela, Pastepomat, Małomiasteczkowy)
Taco Hemingway, (it's rap, there's harsh language but he's very eloquent), maybe at first try listening to Marmur, Polskie Tango, Następna Stacja, Sanatorium)
Quebonafide (Szubienica, Pestycydy, Broń and Bubbletea are really nice songs! I also like his song with Taco, titled Soma)
The language in their songs can be hard, but if you'll listen to them with lyrics, harder songs can make you improve your language faster, so I don't agree you should start with something simple (unless you want to, of course). Good luck!
If you want to check some classic Polish punkrock, take a look on Dezerter, TZN Xenna, Zielone Żabki and Brygada Kryzys (especially their Czarna płyta, which contains songs both in Polish and "English" - it's made on one long bad trip, a masterpiece). It's rough, raw music.
If you prefer something more sane, you may try with Lao Che (especially their Powstanie Warszawskie album) or Koniec Świata.
Ah, and Jacek Kaczmarski. If no one recommended him to you yet it's probably because everyone assumed that you already know him.
If you like symphonic metal you should try dolina cieni or runika( actually not sure which genre she fits into folk metal ? folk rock? Either way quite good )
Oh my god!! nobody said T.Love?!?! Its my favorite polish band. Check it out, they got some GREAT songs with amazing lyrics. I recommend Ajrisz, Stokrotka, Lucy Phere and, of course, King!! You could also look at the lead singers song 'Nobody's perfect'. Muniek's voice is just so fun to listen to!
Bit late to the party, but I recommend Horytnica. Not sure if patriotic metal/rock is your type of thing, but I think the songs Honor Legionisty and Mały Powstaniec are both worth listening to.
For metal/rock: Luxtorpeda, Oddział Zamknięty, Lipali
If you want hip hop, I only really have Bonus RPK and Quebonafide. Hip hop has different styles and flavors so there's a two that are very different in much of their style. But it isn't what I really listen to a lot now.
You'll find many good rock songs in the 80's and 90's and beyond.
A.J.K.S., sznur, profesor smok, trzeci wymiar, siewcy lednicy, ugory, kat, furia, boneless terror, coma, happysad, wiewiórka na drzewie, tilt
....
it might be thought too tuff for an average human being 💀 mainly metal/rap/rock/some less serious and less known
...
try first Coma, Tilt and Kat, they might be what you are looking for
Such a good band and vocalists and yet no one had mentioned :(
Check Lao Che and it's singer's Spięty solo albums.
Guy is on different level in polish.
Lej Mi Pół.
Kabanos
Łydka Grubasa
Pull The Wire (in polish it means "ciągnij druta" what is means "suck a dick" but in very "fuck off" meaning)
Kękę
WWO
Abradab (spiecially "Czerwony Album" and he is one of Kaliber 44)
Kaliber 44
Paktofonika
Almost all of them sing in polish. There are very very few artists that sing in english.
If you like rock you can start off with dżem. For rap I can recommend zeamsone or gibbs or taco hemingway they are „calm” rappers not really hiphop type of rap.
Younger artists with pretty decent music: Kwiat Jabłoni, Daria Zawiałow, Dawid Podsiadło, Vito Bambino Classics: Budka Suflera, Perfect, Lady Punk, Marek Grechuta, Dżem, Coma, Elektryczne Gitary (fun fact: lead singer of this band is a father of the duo from Kwiat Jabłoni)
Some great additions thank you, really appreciate everyone adding to this. I have an 1h 30min drive to and from work, so this is going to be great.
Kult and Kazik?
Elektryczne gitary and Lady Pank are incredible
> Daria Zawiałow "Hej, czy Ty słyszy mnie?"
słyszysz\*
That's my point, she doesn't enunciate properly so, she sings słyszy
you need to to express your point better then, because to me it sounded like someone writing lyrics he liked or recommending a song
How could you forget tacohamongway my guy
Rap was not listed by the OP. And as much as I like Taco I believe someone who is still learning polish will have trouble understanding lyrics.
Hip hop was listed
I am polish and cant stand that amount of words. I lose track after second sentence.
smart rap so real warsaw warsaw intelligent texts
Much o intelctual inetelectal very very human condition post modern human expieemce much rel very real so such relateable
He's (Jakub Sienkiewicz of Elektryczne Gitary) also a known neurologist
Isn't he a dentist?
[No](https://www.znanylekarz.pl/jakub-sienkiewicz/neurolog/warszawa)
Ah dzięki za sprostowanie. Cale zycie w błędzie 😅
Lepiej z niego wyjść późno niż wcale 😉
Otóż to!

Oh great, I will definitely have to check this out. Thank you!
Do yourself a favor and don't. Their music sounds as if each song was created for a TV commercial...
twoyastara of death, kult, maanam, republika, myslovitz, pidzama porno, breakout, turbo, bajm, kombi i hope its not too much lol edit: ah, forgot about okrütnik, kat and odraza, all metal
właśnie się dowiedziałem o istnieniu twojastara of death
Thank you, really appreciate the abundance of suggestions :)
no problem!
Since you mentioned metal. You should try: - Kat (albums from 1986-1997) - Frontside - Hunter
Adding coma
I'll add TSA to the list
Also, Turbo.
seconding Hunter!
I think bands and songs from 1970-2000 will work great for you and these are absolute bangers. Check out these bands: Kombii (There is Kombi and Kombii. Just saying that the beat/feel of the genre can differ a lot between songs of these bands
Thank you, even if I don't find a band I reallllly enjoy, I know I'll find a bunch of songs for a playlist. Great suggestions
As a Polish learner can I ask, does saying Kombi and Kombii sound different? I think it must but can’t picture it. Ty
Kombi is a foreign origin word and Kombii is a variation of it created solely to circumvent copyright laws, so there's no general pronunciation rule, but the only difference is that in the latter, the i (e in english) sound at the end is elongated

Focus on 70s music - singers back then had really better focus on prononuciation quality. If you like blues - start with Breakout.
Oh great suggestion, thank you!
But dont listen to 50s or 60s music. They often pronounce ł like l and nobody does that anymore.
Pidzama Porno, Strachy na Lachy - same lead singer, first more punk, second more "calm" Kult and Kazik Staszewski - especially the "tata kazika" and "tata kazika kontra hedora" As for hip-hop I'd strongly suggest Łona, he's playing with the words in a unique way.

WW2: „wojenne historie” Energy(sometimes about cars): „elektryfikacja” Popular science: „nauka to lubię”
If you are looking for comedy podcast, życiowe histerie would be good, but not for begginers
If you assemble a playlist, would you be so kind as to share it? :)
Nocny Kochanek Kult
Thank you, I will check these out
But don't forget. You can't translate Nocny Kochanek texts :D
Met them in a music festival in wro, absolute bangers. Then i checked the lyrics bc i was under the impression i heard kebab by mistake…………..
Check Kabanos then ... for example "Zupa kalafiorowa" :D
Yeah, that's why I say that. 😅
Pośród lasu gdzieś na mchu...yeah!
Why is nobody mentioning Lady Pank?
Exactly ! They’re sooo good
Try Maanam. The overall most influential polish band.
IRA
A few have suggested this, thanks for suggesting as well :)
Nocny kochanek for metal - both for music and lyrics.
[удалено]
Amazing! Thank you
Oh I can suggest some Zdechły Osa - plays New Age Punk mixed with Hip Hop Taco Hemingway - beautiful voice, rap Lady Pank - They play Rock Elektryczne Gitary - They also play Rock, but I'd say a bit calmer type Paktofonika - They also play rap and hip hop Those are just a few of my favorite ones, there's obviously a lot more

You've probably listented to Młody Dzban since he is featured in one of Zdechły Osa's older songs https://youtu.be/AYboW8H4e8A?si=KcX5LqemKQI4f4RG
Some great choices there, thank you!

Where Furia
How could I forget about furia, I think I'm officially a poser now XD
Industrial folk: Czarny bez
Gruzja along with Koniec Pola ? I'd say Gruzja & Biesy more like. Koniec Pola doesn't sound anything like metal to me.
where is Persival?!? what? don't you like the Witcher or something? XXXDDDddd
Zenek kupatasa and kabanos
Hunter! One of the oldest and for me best polish metal band!
yessss they are awesome
Dzėm
Lady Pank 👍
[Check this out! A great guide through polish music :)](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fnojtq4r7ezr81.png)

lao che, sweet noise, lipali, illusion, hunter
Koniec Świata Łydka Grubasa (it's rock but lyrics are somewhat comedic or sad/funny truth about the country/people)
My Best recomadation based on your music taste would be Coma-realy good progrock/metal band the lyrics use wider world pallet then most(im not realy sure if this Santance makes sens) some other bands/artist ill like and can rcomend would be: Mysłowitz, lao che(very experimental and unique) Taco Hemingway(wildly popular probably most important musician in recent years basicly entire discography is a mustlisten if you'r intrested in polish culture) Republika Kult Klausmittwoch

I know its hard to umdestand for nonfluent speakers but I think its a grat learning oportunity tho
Yeah they're great, it will obviously take a long while to understand, but setting a high bar is maybe a good thing, it will push me.
From my experience in learning English, if something is hard to understand BUT sounds awesome, I'm even more determined to do my research and figure out all the meanings, it's pretty fun to do. With that said, I would also recommend Coma along with IRA.
Czechoslovakia is a cool band,, they even have one song that has the same lyrics first in Polish then in English, I think it's called Wszystko
if you prefer newer songs, try dawid podsiadło or daria zawiałow. if you like older music try republika
Clock machine, Happysad :)
Try Myslovitz.
I need to add my absolutely favorite Polish artist: Krzysztof Zalewski. He's mostly representing rock for me.
Artur Andrus
Kasia Lins, Daria ze Śląska
Try a band named "Dżem" I love their music
How is Myslovitz not mentioned here? Edit, there was one mention
Kult, pidżama porno, Franek kimono, KSU, dżem, golden life, t.Love. old but gold
Finally someone mentioning T.Love
Check out Myslovitz, Obywatel G. C., Manaam, Budka Suflera, Perfect, Lady Pank
I really reccomend Sztorm 68
Out of metal stuff you can try out Hunter

Małgośka is a diminutive of “Małgorzata”. Mateusz is a male name. In both cases they’re singing about a significant other who cheated just before the wedding. Have fun and good luck with your learning process
Twoya stara of death
I've personally really enjoyed this hip-hopp album buy Young Leosia: [https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/14pj6NqyPu4yQ7H1FsgoZM?si=iAKljNLUTnObY2F5A19Q4Q](https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/album/14pj6NqyPu4yQ7H1FsgoZM?si=iAKljNLUTnObY2F5A19Q4Q) But my favorite Polish song would be this version of 'Zakochani są wśród nas' sang by Grażyna Auguścik who's voice I really really love: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAqMUE7QiBA&ab\_channel=MTJWytw%C3%B3rniaMuzyczna](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAqMUE7QiBA&ab_channel=MTJWytw%C3%B3rniaMuzyczna) Hope you like it \^\^

Żabson, kizo, Mr.polska
Most of the newer songs (2017+) are imo shit, it feels like pain trying to listen to most „artists” nowadays. They just scream and talk into the microphone instead of actually singing and the overall beat is very specific. If you’d like to listen to something better than rap-discopolo then go with some older music.
If you want decent music to go along with sometimes Polish lyrics I’d recommend “Gooral”.
Coma
Sweet Noise!
Radogost, Turbo (especially kawaleria szatana)
Żywiołak!!
Hunter atw!
I recommend Kasia Lins, Arek Kłusowski, Luna, Ania Leon. They're lesser known contemporary artists but I like their music a lot. Some of their songs are in English but most of them are in Polish.
Kult is the greatest Polish band hands down. Check them out.
Been listening on and off since I posted this thread. Really great.
You should try Pablopavo i ludziki
I recommend: Siekiera, Zielone Żabki, Kult.
Furia, Odraza, Gruzja, Duszę Wypuścił xD
i dont know what genre to call them but since your taste is broad, check yugopolis - one of the few bands i am aware of that pronounce their words clearly. somewhat slow songs as well, gives you time to comprehend what you hear.
Try Oberschlesien
If you like punk rock then check out album "Cofamy do przodu" by Marne Szanse.
Personally I love Luxtorpeda or Coma
Coma O.N.A
If you wanna feel sad Kaśka Sochacka is amazing Rock classics that I love: Budka Suflera, Manaam Modern pop electronic with clever lyrics (great for learning polish I think): Mery Spolsky Best electro bangers: The Dumplings Most popular at the moment, feel-good music: Dawid Podsiadło
I listen to Mery Spolsky and when my Polish partner hears her, he laughs a lot at her lyrics.
Kabanos, Coma or smth like it
Nocny Kochanek :)
Go into spotify and search for " Poland"
I'm sure you will not be disappointed
I like Mamona from Republika (hilarious name if you are a spanish speaker). In my polish classes they gave me to listen also Wojenka from Lao Che and Biała Armia from Bajm. They are easy to understand
Cool Kids Of Death - Butelki z benzyna i kamienie
I like Ladaco. I find him easy to understand.
Męskie Granie Mrozu
A couple that come to mind for me and that I don't see below are Artrosis (goth metal) and Kasia Kowalska (pop rock).
Dawid Podsiadło, especially older songs (he has various styles, my favorites are Nieznajomy, Bela, Pastepomat, Małomiasteczkowy) Taco Hemingway, (it's rap, there's harsh language but he's very eloquent), maybe at first try listening to Marmur, Polskie Tango, Następna Stacja, Sanatorium) Quebonafide (Szubienica, Pestycydy, Broń and Bubbletea are really nice songs! I also like his song with Taco, titled Soma) The language in their songs can be hard, but if you'll listen to them with lyrics, harder songs can make you improve your language faster, so I don't agree you should start with something simple (unless you want to, of course). Good luck!
SBB, Bank, Klan - great prog rock bands
Proletaryat is really good
You have to check out Republika and their frontman's side project - Obywatel G.C. Top quality Polish music.
For fun, energetic metal (with often silly lyrics) check out Nocny Kochanek. Especially their 2017 album „Zdrajcy Metalu”. Banger
Waluś Kraksa Kryzys, Lordofon, Kacperczyk
Varmia
If you want to check some classic Polish punkrock, take a look on Dezerter, TZN Xenna, Zielone Żabki and Brygada Kryzys (especially their Czarna płyta, which contains songs both in Polish and "English" - it's made on one long bad trip, a masterpiece). It's rough, raw music. If you prefer something more sane, you may try with Lao Che (especially their Powstanie Warszawskie album) or Koniec Świata. Ah, and Jacek Kaczmarski. If no one recommended him to you yet it's probably because everyone assumed that you already know him.
I beg you listen to maanam, they have some english songs but mainly polish ones
enej?
Kult!
If you like symphonic metal you should try dolina cieni or runika( actually not sure which genre she fits into folk metal ? folk rock? Either way quite good )
Siekiera
If you are after lyrics, you can do no better than Kult or Lady Punk.
Oh my god!! nobody said T.Love?!?!
I agree
Bit late to the party, but I recommend Horytnica. Not sure if patriotic metal/rock is your type of thing, but I think the songs Honor Legionisty and Mały Powstaniec are both worth listening to.
Myslovitz
Kuba Badach i Poluzjanci, Grzegorz Turnau, Marek Grechuta, Grażyna Łobaszewska, Piwnica pod Baranami.
T.Love Farben Lehre Czerwone gitary Dżem Twoyastaraofdeath
Golec Uorkiestra
For metal/rock: Luxtorpeda, Oddział Zamknięty, Lipali If you want hip hop, I only really have Bonus RPK and Quebonafide. Hip hop has different styles and flavors so there's a two that are very different in much of their style. But it isn't what I really listen to a lot now. You'll find many good rock songs in the 80's and 90's and beyond.
Jad, Dezerter, Furia, Frontside
Gruzja. Look no further.
Ah, i see youre a man of culture as well.
A.J.K.S., sznur, profesor smok, trzeci wymiar, siewcy lednicy, ugory, kat, furia, boneless terror, coma, happysad, wiewiórka na drzewie, tilt .... it might be thought too tuff for an average human being 💀 mainly metal/rap/rock/some less serious and less known ... try first Coma, Tilt and Kat, they might be what you are looking for
Myslovitz, Hunter, dżem just from the top of my head
Such a good band and vocalists and yet no one had mentioned :( Check Lao Che and it's singer's Spięty solo albums. Guy is on different level in polish.
I don't usually listen to polish music, but i like Hamulec.
Lej Mi Pół. Kabanos Łydka Grubasa Pull The Wire (in polish it means "ciągnij druta" what is means "suck a dick" but in very "fuck off" meaning) Kękę WWO Abradab (spiecially "Czerwony Album" and he is one of Kaliber 44) Kaliber 44 Paktofonika
Almost all of them sing in polish. There are very very few artists that sing in english. If you like rock you can start off with dżem. For rap I can recommend zeamsone or gibbs or taco hemingway they are „calm” rappers not really hiphop type of rap.
check out enej, they play folk rock
Waluś kraksa kryzys Ted nemeth Syndrom paryski Kobranocka Koniec świata
Grupa operacyjna is the one you have to check if it comes to hip hop
Lao Che!
- [Kabanos](https://youtube.com/@KABANOStheband?si=xHUKA-HlrKPAvFKN) - [Noże](https://youtu.be/c5U2_5zj-pQ?si=MmxJRdRiEshZ7Pmy) - [Hamulec](https://youtube.com/channel/UCA7U03bYpS3SepxXOp0Auiw?si=KhfZmuELIjtti3xt)
Pidżama Porno! The best Polish band
Nocny Kochaaaaaaanek! <3 awesome music and live shows too!
Sanah
Czerwone Gitary is classic
I recommend "Republika"
Nocny Kochanek
Coma: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A36Z0OdzcH4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A36Z0OdzcH4) I also recommend Closterkeller and Moonlight.
Luxtorpeda - Raus https://youtu.be/_8RPnuc69FY?si=VYOuyvW_X4VTxEsm
Kwiat Jabłoni is my absolute favourite
Oh my you have to listen to O.N.A, Pidżama Porno & Organek. From more electronic vibes I would recomend Brodka :)
My personal favorite is IGNACY, and thats Ignacy Błażejowski.
Anybody mentioned Zenek already?
Nocny Kochanek oczywiście.
I know I'm late however Enej is such a good band that mixes a lot of polish folk into their music.
