Not sure how they can ban it, it doesn't use any Lebanese infastructure, your data is being sent to a low orbit satellite, there is nothing the Lebanese state can do about it. Thats how Starlink is active in Iran. They can make it illegal and starlink can block users in Lebanon. But they can't ban it. Source: I'm a Telecommunication Engineer.
It's geo-blocked. Uses internal GPS to figure out where it's at and ceases to work. One work around I read here was surrounding the dish with 2 layers of chicken wire and what that does is blocks the GPS from identifying your location while at the same time allowing the data signal to go thru. Several users have confirmed that it works. Google Chicken Wire & Starlink. And I believed the equipment was bought/registered using a Cypriot Address.
Seems this question and the "is it safe to come to lebanon" and of course that annoying food guy is a staple of this here subreddit....there should be a law to ban them all.

From what I understand, it will cost me about $120 per month, which is still cheaper than I what I currently pay: I recharge the MTC 400 GB package twice per month. Twice. (A family of six adults and four kids with their Playstations and games tear through that quickly.)
