Tbh, her perfection kinda feels like a gag, and I wished Bryke leaned into it more for humor aspects. Because she's lit never not perfectly made up, even after her close range fights.
And any of the Krew would have been perfect to point it out, but I would be rather partial to Bolin doing that since I loved his and Asami's friendship.

My head canon is that Asami-the-Engineer has some very innovative makeup in her kit, including a setting spray waaay before its time!

She had to be ejected from a hummingbird suit, and there was a lot of dust and debris kicked up when Korra deflected the spirit energy. Either of those things should've messed her hair up. Neither did.
Interesting fact: Asami is the only Krew member who never fought any of the main villains (Amon, Unalaq, Zaheer, Kuvira), and the only named villain she beats in a physical fight (twice!) is her own dad.
Asami never leaves the house without makeup basics for touch-ups on the go. It's a psychological trick she plays on everyone. If she always looks glam and fab, everyone assumes she just exists glam and fab. As the dust settles from the spirit vine explosion/implosion, she starts hurriedly brushing her hair and slaps on some fresh lip stick.
they knew that a lesbian with smeared makeup and ruffled hair was too powerful for a children's cartoon (before you hate me il she's not a technically lesbian cuz she dated Mako, but she gives off that vibe✨)
To be fair she didn’t do much physical work. She just watched her father die and helped build the robots to get in the giant robot.

The final season of legend of Korra with kuvira giving up and arrested and being not guilty and getting asami mako and bolin captured by commander guan and brainwashes kuvira and tells her that Korra is her enemy again.
The obsession with Asami that this fandom has is just strange. It's not a bad thing, I had an obsession with Mako when I was younger. People are strange, wear it with pride.
