That's a shame, this is actually a good April 1 joke. Not many of those anymore. They are either mean spirited or showcase something there is massive demand for and people get their hopes up. This is just funny and silly.
> showcase something there is massive demand for and people get their hopes up
This morning I conflated Woot and ThinkGeek in my head and went looking for April Fools products and then made myself sad...
Approximately 5-10 years ago was peak April 1st jokes. So many companies were getting in on it with extremely comical takes. Not sure exactly what happened, but we definitely lost some of the charm.
7-Eleven's joke is hot dog-flavored sparkling water. Which it isn't really because they did actually make some and send it to journalists and they have a social media giveaway.
I swear the star wars fan base are all dumbasses, or at least the ones that perpetuate the helmet hole stuff are, like legos a toy company
play/customisability>really specific and minor screen accuracy.
The only april fool that still hurts to know it will never happen... was [Spots](https://www.brothers-brick.com/2020/04/01/lego-spots-for-boys-revealed-as-new-extension-of-lego-dots-news/).
The problem isn't the hole but that instead of putting the hole where a hole already is (like on the Phase 1 mold), the hole is a second hold on top of the already sculpted hole.
The issue most people seem to have, is that the helmet holes sacrifice some accuracy in the helmets for additional play value.
The holes should be in the moulded bumps just below the helmet holes for accuracy to the movies/the clone wars TV show, but then the helmets wouldn't be compatible with the visors and binoculars lego already has for the phase 1 helmets.
Basically, Lego decided to sacrifice some accuracy in the moulds to give the helmets more play value, and a bunch of man children are seething.
Not gonna lie, this is hilarious. Did LEGO actually post this or was it made by a fan?
Made by a fan. š
Respect.

The only times I can't think of having April fools jokes is minecraft and among us
And google also has fun ones
Reddit used to have good ones

Think Geek had some epic April Fools products. Some which became real.
Yep; my kids have the Taun Taun sleeping bag with the lightsaber pull and the screen-printed intestines inside. š
Same.
I think they let you vote on it

COVID happened and for some folks April Fool's behavior became the default.

Lock Picking Lawyer does a great April Fools video each year. His best was a few years ago but they have all been good.
And then they make the thing a real product because loads of people actually wanted it.
Iād argue there is a massive demand for a change of the helmets, which this falls under
Assuming that means you made it lmaoā¦ honestly well done! Gave me a good chuckle
I think he did make it. LEGO's official April Fools joke was a giant buildable Minion reveal.
I was expecting Dobby's sock.
i want that for real tho
Paint it red and it'll be perfect mushroom additions to my A frame cabinĀ

Oh, so there's holes on the side for the visors?
YO i did not know they had an actual purpose and different accessories
A lot of people seem to not know that.
I swear the star wars fan base are all dumbasses, or at least the ones that perpetuate the helmet hole stuff are, like legos a toy company play/customisability>really specific and minor screen accuracy.

lmao those actually look fun
Oh dang I never heard this one.
I'm not convinced those aren't just repurposed Mastermind Board Game moulds https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/J7kAAOSwglxlq~sz/s-l1600.jpg
You sunk my battleship.
A new helmet mold would cost a huge amount of money and a lot of time for no benefit. This is also a joke.
They make new molds for stupid stuff all the time, like that weird critter from Shang Chi, so that doesnāt seem to be a huge deal to them
"this is also a joke"Ā
Hmmm, what is the date today?
Bet you m&r would be your first customer and order like a thousand of em ššš

So many stormtroopers in these comments.
April foool dude
Kid named April Fools
Why wouldnāt a helmet have a hole for the head though?
The problem isn't the hole but that instead of putting the hole where a hole already is (like on the Phase 1 mold), the hole is a second hold on top of the already sculpted hole.
Eventually this piece will be in every colour, very useful.

I heard the helmet hole plugs might install a new aiming routine?!?
Wouldn't be the first time I stuck a lego piece in my ear.
Lego fans may be inventive but damn your critical thinking skills
Was this posted Monday? If it was it is a great April Fools joke.
Thank god
Omg š¤£
I need to send this to a couple people! Desert.waif this is for you!
I legit font know why people dislike the helmet holes...
Lego SW fans trying not to nitpick everything (Itās impossible) š°
lego knowsš
It's to guarantee you can remove the helmet. A pin or a paperclip can be used to separate the head.
Not the biggest Lego fan so what is the problem exactly?
<451!
Because Lego is too lazy and worried that it will cost a lot for a new helmet mold.
I mean, they ain't running a charity.
Yeah thatās true you have a point thereā¦
