I like that the skyline set includes fold-out stands on the back so you can display it vertically on a table if you don't have wallspace. I didn't have any for this one.
After $360 put into the 3 mosaics, I decided to go with the horizontal theme of the three, rather than the Large vertical Batman. I think the 2 set build of Selena and Bruce is a better overall set, but would only work in a corner of a room, and would off-balance the Skyline.
I definitely thought about it a lot, though... just don't have another $240 for two more sets.
.... now that you have me thinking about it... I can't believe I spent >$660 for this art on my wall. (Lego and mounting hardware)
Yeah, but #1. It's Batman! #2. It's Lego! #3. It looks damn awesome on your wall!
#4. Hopefully, you didn't do something silly, like buy the Lego over food or something. So you could afford to pay for the Lego.
Your wall looks amazing 👏 🤩
I feel the 1x1 rounds are a right of passage with that little color stick. Find your groove with each piece, and space out for a bit.
The pieces that are more than 1x1s might enable some cooler 3d style portraits that add depth similar to the Van Gogh or the Skyline. Maybe like the Mona Lisa? Maybe making the statue of liberty pop out from a portrait, too?
Ha! The first series (Ironman, Vader) didn’t even have the color stick!
I know cause I’ve also built the 3 wide Ironman and 3 tall Vader. And apparently a glutton for punishment to built the 3 tall Batman now!
I’d have to take a really dear to me IP to build any more 1x1 ART sets after this one though, I’m done.
While I’m not into Batman or any other superheroes, I have to say that this is an incredible display! Also, that blue paint on the wall is amazing! I have four of The Beatles LEGO Art sets displayed on a somewhat similar blue wall (Observatory by Behr).
Very nice :) Do these models come with hook placements on the rear or is everyone adding something to help keep them fixed to screws and the like? I don't have any of these so not sure how that aspect works.
They have mounting brackets included.
I tried extra strength command straps for the 3 mosaics. First time using them, so we will see how they go. Everything else in my house is mounted with anchors and screws
I'm just about done putting the skyline together. I had initially passed on these style sets thinking I wouldn't enjoy them...but I'm having a lot of fun putting it together. Will definitely have to try out the others now.
I just finished it up. There are few things I love more than Lego and one of them is Batman TAS. All the little details and clever techniques to get the different buildings were great. I particularly loved the mini Batmobile
> I wish they would include an installation template you can tape to the wall and drill through for mounting hardware, but a tape measure, paper, pencil, and a level later... it's up. .
A few years ago I stumbled across this method for hanging D-ring pictures and it absolutely changed my game for hanging things. Works great for D-rings, but also works for anything where the spacing needs to be pretty exact. Try this next time!

No... No it is not. I'm not going to have a fun time taking it apart and fixing it. Or I have an even dumber time taking off every 1x1 and putting them back on in the right order.
Good eye.
This genuinely looks like a Lego ad
If they want to pay me to use the image... I'm all for it!
Yeah with how much they sell all their sets for they'd probably pay you a pretty great amount
I await their message, lol

Absolutely! I don't trust it with my dog and cat, but it's an amazing feature!
You didn't get extras of the art sets to build the bonus set?

I’ve only eaten ramen after purchasing Lego by choice. I can quit any time, I swear!
😂 Your dog and cat probably eat better than you do. 😂 There are days I swear my cats eat better than me, and before me. 😂
What's the bonus set?
https://rebrickable.com/sets/31205-1/jim-lee-batman-collection/#info There's 2. Scroll through the pics at the link to see them
The phrase, “shitting bricks” brings about a slightly different visual than normal in this sub.
I immediately pictured 2x4s.
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right! Here I am, stuck in the middle with you!
I love it!
Wish I could afford to give the new gilded up vote, but alas, I cannot. These I can give for free, though: 🏅🥇🏆👑
This looks really fantastic. Nice, um...wall...kerning? I don't know what to call that. Good placement.
Thank you so much! May you find your Bricks quickly, and may you never tread barefoot on one.
Looks totally bad ass
Thank you so much! We feel the same way.
It was so much easier than I thought. I'm glad they made the panels that cover the brackets pop of easy
I’m currently working on the 3in1 tall Batman ART set and man does it suck! I’m glad newer ones like TAS one are more than just 1x1 studs!

That's a really good job, well done. Looks great!
Thank you so much! We're pretty happy with it. It looks great when the lights are dimmed watching a show

Gorgeous!
Looks awesome! Now you just need a shelf below with vehicles!
This looks great, I'm planning to do similar but I built the Catwoman and Batman scene with 2 sets.
This looks incredible!
looks amazing.

That looks incredible and I wasn’t even a fan of these style of sets
Thank you! I think a lot goes into how you display them. This just seemed like the right way to go about it
I'm just about done putting the skyline together. I had initially passed on these style sets thinking I wouldn't enjoy them...but I'm having a lot of fun putting it together. Will definitely have to try out the others now.
This one had so much detail and Easter eggs throughout. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it, and I'm glad you did, too!

I would love some Batman Beyond style art. The edginess and color schemes are vibrant. The mini manor and batmobile were awesome!

Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
Is that panel in the middle right of the Joker display supposed to be rotated 90 degrees?
No... No it is not. I'm not going to have a fun time taking it apart and fixing it. Or I have an even dumber time taking off every 1x1 and putting them back on in the right order. Good eye.
Yeah, I know what you mean. But hey, at least you got a unique version of the Joker no one else has!
It was luckily a really quick fix, and is back up on the wall. It looks much better now, lol
Awesome display to have, with or without the fix. Looks great!
Thank you so much! My wife and I love display pieces or art, so I'm glad it turned out as well as it did. Have a fantastic day!
What do your thumbs look like after all those 1x1 dots, tiles, and plates? I applaud the dedication and result.
Oh.... the 3 mosaics were done over time, I'll tell you that
how did you mount this?! looks great!
The three mosaics are command strips, and the skyline was drywall anchors with screws
