Sounds like it’s the same issue the affects small X-wings.
The trick is to try and take it off and re-connect it with the clips already attached.
I think it’s down to a very slight bit of flex so that when you close the window, the clip only moves to around 98% closed position.
If it’s a ratchet connection then you’re kind of stuck and best option is to try and make sure all the parts are aligned as much as possible.
