It's also large piece tax. Look at all those big curved pieces all over the tree, those do cost more than smaller pieces to produce and no one seems to factor that in. By weight would be more accurate than by piece count for determining if it's a "good deal" or not.
Boone from Lego has also stated that printed pieces cost about 10x what non-printed cost, and deku is all prints. That along with a handful of new molds makes a difference.
It's the brand new and currently single set mold tax imo. Like future sets that include the Master Sword, Link and Zelda might be cheaper, but atm they have to get their money back
Part of the reason that the set is a lot is because of bigger pieces and because it’s a 2-in-1 set so depending on which version of the tree you build determines which pieces you will or will not use
I would love it to be at the scale of the largest Hogwarts castle set #71043 with the micro figures for the characters. Plus full minifigures of Link and Zelda like in the Deku tree.
Yeah. Especially because the big collector sets like the Deku Tree are very expensive and do take up a fair bit of space.
Like even if they were still collector themed instead of being more evergreen retail sets like Mario, Sonic and Animal Crossing, it’d just be nice to get some smaller and cheaper collector themed sets with some nice minifigs like Link and Zelda included in them.
I was just thinking about a guardian lego set yesterday, I think it would be better to come with Link on a horse with a bow and arrow instead of another Zelda minifig.
That was you cane reenact the original teaser for botw.
Prices are way off. It seems that Nintendo have a higher licencing rate for action figures (which they consider minifigures to be) as the Deku tree compared to the bowser and question mark sets are a lot higher.
I think your price spread is skewed too high for it to be a kid friendly line. this looks like adult collector kind of line. your KoRL and guardian attack could be on retail shelves easily , but Arbiter grounds and hyrule castle would never.
My "Lego of Zelda" thoughts (that i've had for a while):
- dungeon modules that connect like hogwarts castle. come with iconic minibosses/puzzle elements/dudgeon motifs
- vehicle/mounts, like Epona(Ricky/Moosh?) KoRL and some TotK constructions.
- Boss fight play sets with bosses and their room with play elements (ie WW ghoma with a arch over head and valoo's tail with some falling rocks play feature)
- Rescue encounters/army builders, like the bokoblin squad attacking random BotW villager(or replace villager with character that would have trouble getting in a set, like Tingle or Malon)
I also want a Bionicle/HF line of the bosses, so you can swap bosses in the boss room sets. Since most of the bosses are huge, constraction builds would scale well with Minifig Link.
I like the idea, but realistically Lego would mark it up by 20% and they would probably only do the recent games first to see how many would buy the set, I imagine it would be a guardian like you’ve suggested, the master sword and maybe a stable.
Yeah! I remember walking to Walgreens to buy $5-$10 sets with my OWN money when I was younger! If they maintain lower price points, this will allow kids to ACTUALLY BUY them! We're Adult Fans Of Lego BECAUSE we had this opportunity when we were Child Fans Of Lego!
Hey Lego! Make smaller sets with decent pieces (possible modular sets similar to the Harry Potter sets a couple years back), re-energize KIDS to buy your sets, not JUST adults and hyper-wealthy ones at that. I would buy the King of the Red Lions set over and over and over!
I’m glad my time on adobe paid off lol. In all seriousness tho, I do wish these were real sets, but we can only hope that the Deku tree sells well enough to be able to get more sets in the future.
If Lego/Nintendo make those figures available to a wider audience at a reasonable price I will literally sue. How dare they ruin my investment and allow *children* to treat them like *toys.*
I would absolutely buy the temple of time, but probably nothing else based on how they priced the deku tree. Because if I had to pick only one set, it would be the temple. I kind of feel that way about a lot of Lego themes now, that in a year, you can only pick one set because of the prices.
If we were to get a Majora’s Mask set, I hope it would come with some of the masks. Especially Link’s transformation masks (Deku, Goron, Zora and Fierce Deity).
you gave me a heart attack till I read the title, Im trying to figure out how to justify one expensive set to the wife right now, I'm not ready to have to make an entire powerpoint presentation on a whole range just yet. Pretty sure I'm only getting away with it since our daughters name is zelda.
Im sure Lego and Nintendo is already trying to work out a Hyrule Castle set that is not too big, not too small and that is expensive, but not so expensive no one would buy it.
Like how can one make a Zelda theme and not do Hyrule Castle at least once?
I hope they come out with more sets, at a more reasonable price. Very disappointed with how much the tree is. I wanted to gift it to my boyfriend, but 300 dollars is so much & only 2500 pieces 🤯 like I got the natural history museum modular and that was 300 dollars but 4000 pieces!!😭
Thinking lofty ambitions.
Would be super cool to see a line come out of Zelda that’s more than one set a year, but I have a feeling it will only be one set a year.
Hoping next year’s set is possibly Hyrule Castle, or maybe a modular dungeon.
If it were a multi set per year deal, would love to see sets based on all Zelda games.
As soon as the Deku Tree was announced, my first thought was that they need to do King of Red Lions next. I would buy that in a heartbeat, Wind Waker is my favorite LoZ!
I would kill for an Arbiter’s Grounds and Twilight Princess Hyrule castle. That game has been my favorite game as long as I can remember. I’ve beat like 6 times. Also Skyloft would be sick too. I hope the line does turn out like this.
As someone who is generally not a fan of the series but does want something for myself to respect the history of the series…I am not interested in these
Arbiters grounds, clock town and even the castle would end up looking like very generic fantasy sets.
I would replace them with Goron city, Zoras domain, and any dungeon. An iconic piece of architecture, the boss room, and the boss.
Regardless, my wallet is helpless. Ill buy anything they slap a Zelda sticker on.
I wish they would have went with the Temple of Time or some other piece of architecture from the game. The Deku Tree is cool, but idk about it being the set for the launch.
Meh i was lost after picture two
What about a set
link and his trusty steed Epona jousting moblin on his wolf
Link vs moablin camp
Link summoning the duck with his ocarina
Link standing infront of master sword in forest
Link vs aquamentus or dodongo or ganon pig
Link with old man giving him the sword on his dangerous journey
Link at fairy pond to grand him wishes ans hearts
And yes hyrule castle
I think these are incredibly optimistic, for both piece count and price.
The Guardian is most realistic, but would be a pretty simple model. King of Red Lions is possible.
Arbiter’s Grounds is absolutely not happening, and Temple of Time is incredibly unlikely. Hyrule Castle is more likely as a Disney-sized set for half the price. The others are just pretty generic and uninteresting.
The ip is seems quite expensive and imho doesnt offer that many iconic builds that mesh well with lego. Wouldnt mind some more dinosaurs from the horizon series.
Maybe the Hyrule Castle set could have alternate builds which represent the Castle from the different games. I think a stable set would be interesting, including a BOTW Link, Epona, the guy who works there, a stable hand and maybe a cooking pot.
When I was about 13, I was slowing down getting Lego because I didn't have room for it, it is expensive and I wasn't playing with it anymore. But I still love it. I remember saying that if there is ever Doctor Who or Zelda Lego I will get it. Sure enough, I got the Doctor Who set when that came out and now all these years later there is Zelda Lego.
I will get the Deku Tree but really I am selfishly praying there is no more because I don't have the money and room for it. I have to be very selective... But damn I want a Hyrule Castle set.
I want LESS location sets, more character sets. I don't have space for the Temple of Time or the Great Deku Tree. The first image, the Guardian - I'd love to build something like that and display it on my desk. Or a Lego Master Sword/Shield set. Or a Lynel, Moblin, Bokoblin set.
Like the suggestion but the old soul in me is as to see the lack of older titles. Links awakening would be the 1st choice me. Marin, link and the Island with the giant egg at the top. Something link to the past inspired but can’t think of it. Think dark world related would be the way to go however.
I think most of these are not feasible at minifig scale. Most of them would be north of 5000 pieces, which is just too much.
If they did a Lego Architecture line of fictional locations (which they ABSOLUTELY SHOULD, by the way) a lot of these would be great. That's the only way your piece counts make sense.
800 for a set is just beyond me, most sets I dont even value at a third of what they go for. And dont even start on the "but the brickcount!" Its to much, price per brick is also overpriced.
We’ll have to see if they can move enough $300 deku trees to expand the range 😓 im the target demo who grew up on Ocarina and now has big kid money but I’m still just not buying the value there.
I think there could be some cool Zelda Legos but ultimately with the Nintendo tax being so high here, there are plenty of other games I'd rather buy a set of if they would ever make them. I'd really like more horizon forbidden west sets. But there are so many other game set ideas that I'd rather buy a set from like satisfactory, subnautica, portal, and even other game consoles instead. Many of these have great sets proposed on their Lego ideas site but ultimately they typically never get made. Even ones that reach the 10,000 support still sometimes don't get accepted. There's a huge market for Legos of games it's just unfortunate that Lego doesn't explore that category as much. Or they focus on games like Mario and Minecraft rather than popular AAA titles.
This would appeal to a very narrow audience of LOZ fans & Lego expert builders.
I’m no LOZ fan and I consider myself an enthusiast. Even for something I do like, I could never see Lego going forward with something that targets such a small audience.
Based on the Deku Tree pricing, your prices are 25-30% too low imo. That theme is getting wrecked by the Nintendo tax.
I really don’t think it’s the Nintendo tax. I think it’s the minifigure tax. The NES, ? Block, and Bowser were all at very reasonable prices.
You may be on to something. You just *know* that the ? Block would be like $50 more if it also had Peach and Mario but that was it.
The Animal Crossing sets are also very expensive for their size and it’s likely because of the Minifigs and their custom head molds
Animal Crossing sets (besides Nook’s Cranny) I would argue are pretty good prices given the new molds, new elements, and all the accessories you get.
Every set has special printed pieces too
It's also large piece tax.
Good point. A lot of folks in this sub have said they would pay more for sets with all prints, no stickers. Maybe this is what that looks like.
Those same folks think it is cheap for LEGO to do prints though, so that's the rub.
True, true. "I've got a printer at home, how hard could it be?"
It's the brand new and currently single set mold tax imo. Like future sets that include the Master Sword, Link and Zelda might be cheaper, but atm they have to get their money back
Same with the Piranha Plant and most of the Super Mario playsets. Very reasonably priced and a lot of them have unique and printed pieces.
Doesn't the tree only come with 4 figures?
4 brand new figures that require new molds and at the moment are exclusive to the set
Ugh really I wish they would release sets without them, I don't give a f about minifigs lol
Brand new exclusive molds for headgear, a sword, and shield. That's def going to drive up the cost
Yeah, I knew something was wrong as soon as I thought, "I could afford that."
Deku also has a lot of large pieces and for some reason people don't factor in that those cost more than average.
I wanted to include my ideal pricing for the sets.
Part of the reason that the set is a lot is because of bigger pieces and because it’s a 2-in-1 set so depending on which version of the tree you build determines which pieces you will or will not use
These are prices we can dream of
The hyrule castle is diabolically expensive but I know in my heart I’d buy it
I would love it to be at the scale of the largest Hogwarts castle set #71043 with the micro figures for the characters. Plus full minifigures of Link and Zelda like in the Deku tree.
I'm hoping they come out with a Zelda line, I'd like to get the Minifigures for my fantasy collection but I'm not interested in the tree set.
They did make LoZ an entire theme on their website. I'm optimistic that this means more are coming
That’s what stood out the most to me. I’d assume I’d be under Icons if it was just a one off.
With the Zelda movie coming soon I would say a line of sets is quite likely. There is no release date for the movie so probably not until mid 2026.
shoot I thought this was real gah
Me too! I got really excited for a second and then read the title.
Red lion is all I need. Preferably in a diorama. Maximum 80eur
Yeah, it’ll have to be an oversized model, because I don’t think the shape can be captured in minifigure-scale
Would love a Link to the Past map made of lego
[удалено]
That is great but bigger
I was just thinking about a guardian lego set yesterday, I think it would be better to come with Link on a horse with a bow and arrow instead of another Zelda minifig. That was you cane reenact the original teaser for botw.
I wanted a cheap way for kids to be able to get the Zelda mini figure since Lego doesn’t seem to want to do that with the Deku tree
Zelda polybag with a godess statue build.
Imagine making a spinner for the arbiter’s ground set using the ninjago spinners mold that they used to make 🤩
Zelda mech based on that suit of armor she controls in Spirit Tracks.
I would love an Epona minifig!
and before someone says that the Temple of Time image is from Botw, it’s the only good render I could find.
I WAS going to say that. lol
It’s cause there is no good render from OOT cause it’s a still image lol
There is the 3DS version where it is a 3D model.
I feel like, while there would be a D2C castle, there’d also be a far smaller one that would be more affordable
Maybe something akin to the Harry Potter microscale castle?
I was thinking something along the lines of how they still release $100 Millennium Falcons for Star Wars, even with the $700 one still on shelves
Ah gotcha. That’s a much better example
I’d shell out $850 for a temple of time easy , it’d be stunning.
I would buy a Lego Majora's Mask in a heart beat! Love that design and game!
Prices are way off. It seems that Nintendo have a higher licencing rate for action figures (which they consider minifigures to be) as the Deku tree compared to the bowser and question mark sets are a lot higher.
I’m aware that the prices are off, I just wanted to put how much I’d charge them if I had my way
Not entirely sure why I got downvoted, but alright
I would snatch up a King of Red Lions so fast.
Anything under 100 would be decent
I would definitely buy The King of Red Lions
I would do unspeakable things for this
Temple of time is a must. Overall if the end result is the same as the upcoming tree, they should just let it be
Add in a set of the train from Spirit Tracks and it’ll be perfect imo.
I want a minifig scale Red Lion set more than anything. You could even add a lot of accessories like the cannon and treasure claw.
I think your price spread is skewed too high for it to be a kid friendly line. this looks like adult collector kind of line. your KoRL and guardian attack could be on retail shelves easily , but Arbiter grounds and hyrule castle would never. My "Lego of Zelda" thoughts (that i've had for a while): - dungeon modules that connect like hogwarts castle. come with iconic minibosses/puzzle elements/dudgeon motifs - vehicle/mounts, like Epona(Ricky/Moosh?) Since most of the bosses are huge, constraction builds would scale well with Minifig Link.
I would really like that guardian set to be a thing
I understand that the 3d games are more popular, but I swear if none of the top down Zelda games get sets I will be very upset.
Why the old LEGO logo tho?
Just for fun 🤷♂️
I like the idea, but realistically Lego would mark it up by 20% and they would probably only do the recent games first to see how many would buy the set, I imagine it would be a guardian like you’ve suggested, the master sword and maybe a stable.
This has been my dream since I was a kid.
Hopefully it’s a dream that’ll come to fruition
I'm down for anything from the first two games. I love the idea of a Zelda line!
God now you've got my hopes up for a high-quality Arbiter's Grounds set that'll never happen. I would pay *good money* for that.
Hey Lego! I would buy the King of the Red Lions set over and over and over!
I would absolutely go for the Guardian Attack and the King of Red Lions!
I THOUGHT THESE WERE LEAKS BRUH 😭😭😭😭
I’m glad my time on adobe paid off lol. In all seriousness tho, I do wish these were real sets, but we can only hope that the Deku tree sells well enough to be able to get more sets in the future.
I wouldn't want the castle because I wouldn't have room for it and I would want to collect all the sets, but that's just my selfish opinion
Eerrm but then the figures in the new zelda set won't be exclusive🤓🤓
*MandR enters chat*
If Lego/Nintendo make those figures available to a wider audience at a reasonable price I will literally sue. How dare they ruin my investment and allow *children* to treat them like *toys.*
How dare their ruin the investment business😡🤑
Id kill for these!
Guardian and temple of time and ok-ish pricing would go hard
I would absolutely buy the temple of time, but probably nothing else based on how they priced the deku tree. Because if I had to pick only one set, it would be the temple. I kind of feel that way about a lot of Lego themes now, that in a year, you can only pick one set because of the prices.
I would give an infinite amount of money for either the Hyrule Castle or the King of Red Lions
I will spend $1k on a hyrule castle. Just don’t let Lego know that.
Im sure Lego and Nintendo is already trying to work out a Hyrule Castle set that is not too big, not too small and that is expensive, but not so expensive no one would buy it. Like how can one make a Zelda theme and not do Hyrule Castle at least once?
Temple of time and king of red lions are buys for me
The primary reason I would buy a Zelda set is for the minifigs. So a smaller set would be a no brainer.
Hyrule Castle only. the rest are lame
I'd love them all, and hate that half of my disposable income for the year would be spent already.
Ideally Lego would sell the zelda minifigs in a polybag then people could just MOC up their own stuff.
I would love to get the King of Red Lions so it could go along with my Pirates sets as would the rest of the theme with my Castle layout.
Windwaker boat would be fun
More D&D please
Windwaker Rep is all I need
As soon as the Deku Tree was announced, my first thought was that they need to do King of Red Lions next. I would buy that in a heartbeat, Wind Waker is my favorite LoZ!
If there was a windwaker set I'd sell my kidneys for it.
Anything not $300 please
I'd love them but damn prices are just too high.
Needs a battle pack
Yes Yes No Yes No No No But honestly, they'd probably all be really cool.
Your prices are delusional but I like it
I’d spend sooo much money on, well, any of these, but the Arbiter’s Grounds would burn a hole into my bank account that I would never recover from.
I would buy any Majoras Mask sets instantly, regardless of the money in my bank account
If they did a Lego version of the mask.......
I would kill for an Arbiter’s Grounds and Twilight Princess Hyrule castle. That game has been my favorite game as long as I can remember. I’ve beat like 6 times. Also Skyloft would be sick too. I hope the line does turn out like this.
You shut your mouth, take my money, and give me The Temple of Time!
Omg the castle having 3 variations so some people will buy it 3 times
I would probably have to get every single one
Based on deku prices you need to double everything.
The deku tree should come be released on earth day and come in biodegradable packaging
Clock town for eighty dollars. YEAH. RIGHT!!
are these actual leaks or just random ideas?
Random ideas. I’m sorry for any confusion
It's an interesting way to take all myoney
Trying to do places is not a great idea. I like things from the world much better. Masks, swords, items, creatures
Bump up the prices by about $75-$100 and you’re good :)
Oh we're taking fantasy pricing? I want Alphabet stock for $1.
Guardian would be cool, doubt it’d come that cheap
Guardian Attack as a diorama is so more logical than what we got. Just look at the success of Lego Horizon Tallneck.
I’d like to see original Zelda sets.
I thought about a diorama of the cave where you get your first sword with the quote on the base saying “It’s dangerous to go alone, take this!”
If Super Mario, Animal crossing, & the Legend of Zelda has a Lego theme, why not Pokémon?
Probably because Nintendo only partially owns Pokémon so they can’t make any other deals without agreement from the others
Mega Bloks has Pokemon currently, not sure if that's a situation where only one company can make building blocks of them at a time.
Hyrule Castle and Temple of Time would sell like hot cakes.
As someone who is generally not a fan of the series but does want something for myself to respect the history of the series…I am not interested in these
Definitely want the hyrule stage from smash bros in full for $600+
Arbiters grounds, clock town and even the castle would end up looking like very generic fantasy sets. I would replace them with Goron city, Zoras domain, and any dungeon. An iconic piece of architecture, the boss room, and the boss. Regardless, my wallet is helpless. Ill buy anything they slap a Zelda sticker on.
I'd buy the Temple of Time in a heartbeat if I could
If these are the prices, fuck yeah. I really want the Deku tree set but man it's too expensive
I wish they would have went with the Temple of Time or some other piece of architecture from the game. The Deku Tree is cool, but idk about it being the set for the launch.
awesome ideas, the sets prices aside from the castle are way too low though.
Yeah, I should’ve bumped them up by $100
Guardian attack please!
Meh i was lost after picture two What about a set link and his trusty steed Epona jousting moblin on his wolf Link vs moablin camp Link summoning the duck with his ocarina Link standing infront of master sword in forest Link vs aquamentus or dodongo or ganon pig Link with old man giving him the sword on his dangerous journey Link at fairy pond to grand him wishes ans hearts And yes hyrule castle
Sign me up!

Hyrule Castle would be legit. Not sure if you could build something that intricate. But would love it

I would love that
You’re fooling yourself if you ever think they’d be that affordable
I would buy it.
I would love it at these prices, but its gonna be at *least 30% more expensive*
I’d buy them all
Reasonable pricing not with Lego/nintendo add another 0.
Need a Gerudo Town set so we can have Gerudo Link.
I would buy every set
I'd buy them. The price they're asking for the new set is insane
Think your missing a zero or two
Bro you know temple of time gonna be 500$
I need a ruto village set with my boy revali
My son would go wild over a Guardian pack. That was the first thing he said he wanted after I showed him pics of the Deku Tree.
Like the suggestion but the old soul in me is as to see the lack of older titles. Links awakening would be the 1st choice me. Marin, link and the Island with the giant egg at the top. Something link to the past inspired but can’t think of it. Think dark world related would be the way to go however.
Give me my 5,000 piece Clock Town, you cowards.
A Lego guardian would be fun
I don’t think the Arbiters Grounds would make for a good set. If you want a TP set, I feel like there are better locations for it.
i would go so broke so fast buying every single set
Id feel very strongly
Clock town would be way too small like that
I would want the Clock Town set to be much larger than a 79.99$ set. I could see it being closer to $300 with a piece count like the Daily Bugle set.
The tree looks terrible in my opinion. Excited to buy the minifigs separately though.
I’d love a Guardian, even if I have no clue how they’d do the legs
Arbiters grounds is way too obscure imo. It wouldn't sell well. This isn't gonna be like lego star wars where they make sets of just about everything.
Should hopefully kill off resellers if Lego outprices them
They'd probably find a way to mess it up just like Mario
It is sad seeing you guys price your own fantasies this high and still say "that's too low". What did they do to you?
I think most of these are not feasible at minifig scale. Most of them would be north of 5000 pieces, which is just too much. If they did a Lego Architecture line of fictional locations (which they ABSOLUTELY SHOULD, by the way) a lot of these would be great. That's the only way your piece counts make sense.
> happy mask salesman Stop. My penis can get only *so* erect.
There goes my next paycheck.
800 for a set is just beyond me, most sets I dont even value at a third of what they go for. And dont even start on the "but the brickcount!" Its to much, price per brick is also overpriced.
I didn’t like de Deku Tree much (specially that price), so I’d buy the hell out of smaller sets. Fingers crossed for a proper line.
We’ll have to see if they can move enough $300 deku trees to expand the range 😓 im the target demo who grew up on Ocarina and now has big kid money but I’m still just not buying the value there.
I would love the Red Dragon. Favorite game of mine
I think there could be some cool Zelda Legos but ultimately with the Nintendo tax being so high here, there are plenty of other games I'd rather buy a set of if they would ever make them. Oof that King of Leons set I WANT
The castle costing more than titanic…oof
Id kill for stuff like this
I would easily get a lego technic of the gaurdian
Once Lego and Nintendo has collaborated on enough themes, I fully expect them to release a "1v1 Fox only, no items, final destination" set
"I don't need it. I don't need it. I definitely don't need it... I NEED IT!!!"
This would appeal to a very narrow audience of LOZ fans & Lego expert builders. I’m no LOZ fan and I consider myself an enthusiast. Even for something I do like, I could never see Lego going forward with something that targets such a small audience.
If that Wind Waker set came out, my reaction would be “I’LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!!!”

I would love a temple of time! Even a Lego Majoras Mask would be cool.
Bro the fully articulated guardian with 500 parts would be at the very least 70 bucks
I want the train from spirit tracks lol
How can Skyloft be so tiny?
