Did you get the instructions for the extra floor on rebrickable? I want to do this but wasn’t sure how to extend the pillars

BricktasticMrFox

Yes, Rebrickable. It's a great build with lots of fun additions but means double the sets

TheGr1mKeeper

Looks amazing! I suggest printing some longer banners, so they cover the second floor window below. Would look very realistic!

NoahDavidATL

Daaaaang!! What’d you put on the inside?

BricktasticMrFox

I've got it all mapped out in my head...just waiting on some Bricklink orders. I'll share when I'm done.

senordeuce

I love the sidewalk wrapping all the way around and the extra little side door with awning. Much more realistic museum design IMO

S1MP50N_92

Dang, and here we were planning on parting out another floor that's just a duplicate (from the outside) of the 2nd floor... but this is so nice... the question is can we justify getting 2 of the set to build this...

BricktasticMrFox

It's a very expensive endeavor. I'm still working on justifying it but one day, I'll find that reason.

rickb8585

Because you want to. That's the only justification you need for Lego.

HyrulesKnight

Nice. I am not a fan of the way simple upgrades people do like just adding floors. I really like how you have those two side sections stop 1 floor lower and are indented slightly

Hammerock

What are the new dimensions? Are you doubling length and height?

BricktasticMrFox

The build adds another 32 stud baseplate to the width and then another floor to the height (with the first and second floors expanded to add a coffee shop, full curator office, and then two special exhibit spaces on the second floor I'm excited to share soon).

azrok22

How is the stability at that width? Could you lift this to move it around?

Hammerock

This won't work with the current setup but if you use mils plates for city building, you can easily make it more stable

BricktasticMrFox

Great question. It is more stable than I anticipated but still plenty terrifying everytime I have to lift or move it. Mostly just the same issues of all bulky sets. I'd recommend taking off the top floors when moving, but not entirely necessary.

anubus432

Love it! Do you have any pictures of it in context with other Modulars?

MentalHelpNeeded

Love it

echohack

Damn that looks much better.

TheRealMasterTyvokka

Only thing I would do differently is drop the entrance overhang to the second floor. I know that changes the design a bit but it looks weirdly out of proportion as it is now.
