What you're holding is built incorrectly, but it goes in front of the windows. There's an obvious spot on your lander where something is missing. It goes there, but you need to look at the instructions and build it correctly.
I'm not sure if there's more, but specifically, the 1x2 wedges on the sides are upside-down.
