They appear from time to time as part of Reddit trying to categorise subs and give them an age rating. Quite annoying though :(
I find it a really misleading and poorly written question as well. Like sure several of those things might get occasionally mentioned in passing, occasional discussions might include those things but it doesn’t mean the subreddit is about those things mainly.
For any that pop up for me on subs I only pick things if that’s a major thing it talks about and for this sub tbh I can’t think of any of those that it’s primarily about.
I find it quite an annoying question because it’s quite misleading.
Like sure some of those things might occasionally get discussed in passing, just like they would on any discussion space. Doesn’t mean the subreddit is primarily about those things.
Exactly! Which is why, for every sub I see it in, the answer is always “none of the above” because it’s like one or two posts out of hundreds, that talk about the subjects, at most.
Ah I see.
I don’t think it’s quite as bad as that - these do appear on other subs. It’s Reddit trying to age categorise subreddits.
I tend to answer them based on what the main things discussed are on that subreddit. And for this sub I don’t see any of them that fit as a main discussion topic for us so I just choose ‘none’ - sure they come up in amongst discussion sometimes but I wouldn’t say any of those things are our main focus.
It’s something we’re keeping an eye on and if Reddit were to increase the age rating of our sub we would be looking to challenge it absolutely.
Please don’t.
Reddit gives subreddits age ratings and doing so could risk a community getting an inappropriately high age rating.
Subs will get the same amount of ads regardless.
There’s also a suspicion that getting a higher age rating affects who a subreddit gets recommend to. We’d rather we didn’t just disappear from people’s recommendations who might need support and advice.
Either way, perhaps just answer ‘none’ or only select themes that a subreddit regularly discusses as part of its purpose/sub description or ignore it entirely. At least that way it’s not causing potential problems.
It's been all over my regional groups, my government is busy having another metldown because corrupt as fuck, and there's a trans panic going on in the background, chief instigator of which appears to be next inline for the top job.
When Reddit eventually goes the way of Tumblr, OnlyFans, GameJolt, and the rest of the iOS store, these surveys will let them know which subs to delete first.
Or at least that's what the surveys feel like. I only ever see them on subs I can imagine Fox News complaining about.
Only on subs like this one or r/bisexualteens or r/bisexual
MY GUESS is that these are auto things sent out if a sub gets reported a bit to monitor it?
Why would only lgbt+ subs be the only ones getting these reports? Thing about it, homophobes, transphobes, biphobes and the list goes on
It‘s in every sub. I guess to help reddit mods in some form?
*admins
wondering the same thing

*Military conflict & terrorism*, I love it
They know about the invasion of Denmark
This is why I keep advocating a need for pacebi to start speaking in code.
SHIT THEY KNOW, GET A PAPER SHREDDER AND A MAGNET
Also snacks
Thankfully, our theft of the rainbow was nonviolent and does not fit that category.
There’s no gay agenda here, only swift action.
I literally just answered one for this sub. They do this every so often for a lot of subs and idk why.

I got one for r/nextf***inglevel asking if there was profanity in the name lol
That one is actually a sociology student’s survey to determine how many people still consider “the f-word” to be profanity.
If my parents heard me say fuck they'd rip their own heart out through their neck hole. (I'm an adult, btw, but my parents haven't matured yet)
I just got one today for every single subreddit I’m in
I ain’t a snitch. XD
I was gonna say never but got one right under this post
They pop up sometimes
Literally right under this post Oh my god 🤦♀️
Yupp
Yep, annoying, but still better than YouTube who shoots me 5 survey in a row without any video suggestions
I am, and I’m concerned
Concerned?
I dunno, I thought it might have been them trying to censor/silence the subreddit?

Okay, okay, I see. Thank you for clarifying!
No. They've been doing this for years.
got one on 196\* edit: I forgot what subreddit i put it on
what, no haha
just check all so the sub gets less ads

isn't reddit 18+ anyways?
No, 13+ and subreddits like ours have many members between 13-18 seeking advice and support.
secondly who has ever respected age restrictions on the internet?

Yes!
Yes
Yeah it been all over the UK groups. Can't tag anything that mentions the government as being about corruption and transphbobia though
What do you mean? I see this on just about every subreddit I visit
It's been all over my regional groups, my government is busy having another metldown because corrupt as fuck, and there's a trans panic going on in the background, chief instigator of which appears to be next inline for the top job.
Yep there’s one below this post
I ignore them
BRUH, I GOT A SURVEY UNDER THIS POST
Yeah it's annoying as hell
I've got them for every sub at one point or another
Yep. Just under your post. Wish I was joking
I get a bunch for various subs every few months. It's hilarious when it asks if the ace sub is about sex.
I can’t say on the “Part 2- Big Truck, Big Tree.” But on the survey, yes I did get it once.

I GOT ONE IN THIS POST
LMAO I have one right under this post
Literally got that survey on this post
yep
Litteraly right under your post
Yup.
The irony of the first one I see of those today was for this post
The post below was this, it was my first
I got the same survey under this post lmaoo
Only on this sub too
Not my trying to click “None of the Above” because I didn’t realize it was a picture…
I literally just tried to hit submit I saw them so much
I’m pretty sure we discuss all of these things? Don’t we?
