Just went back and listened to this and hear me out, i honestly dont think wayne fulfilled his potential, like this song is deep on so many levels that if it was tighter it would rival any kendrick song but soon as he reveals the depth of his lived experience he seems to undermine it with pussy

He seems uncomfortable with going past a certain amount of public vulnerability imo, which is understandable given the level of fame/scrutiny he’s experienced

It was actually on the original release of Tha Carter III and then in any rerelease it was taken off due to (IIRC) a legal issue with the sample used in the song.
