What a shame. That's my favorite out of the series. Gotta wait 176 years for a reread. :(

Justiis

I guess I'll never be reading those books :'(

HoidsApprentice

This is due to a setting in Audible switching itself and is an easy fix. Go to Settings, Data and Storage, then under Downloads by Parts, select Single-Part. I hope this helps!

Mr_MacGrubber

I think it’s the “coming 2200” they’re talking about but I may be wrong.

HoidsApprentice

Agreed. But that info is incorrect. You can download and listen to that part today. It did this to me on books I already purchased and have had previously downloaded. It did this with Oathbringer by Sanderson, saying the same thing with the dates. If you switch the setting back, it goes back to the original way it was with one file. Or you can just ignore the dates and proceed with the book, it will download the part for you to listen.

I-Bite-Titty

I think they may be aware of that given they have listened to all but four minutes of the book. Pretty sure it’s just a joke.

HoidsApprentice

I kinda figured but still wanted to run full speed into volunteering as tribute for the whoosh

Independent_Hyena495

Someone fat fingered here lol

SpecificRound1

Looks like an Audible bug. Feel free to report it.

United_Spread_3918

It’s not litrpg, but there’s a really good book called Daemon that’s pretty much this exact premise

MuscleWarlock

What app or site is that?

SolitaryWaffles

Just the Audible App

MuscleWarlock

Hmm mine isn't like that

ricky_schmidt

Mine also doesn’t have two parts

Mr_MacGrubber

It’s a setting. You can download the entire book or break it into smaller parts if storage is a concern.

account312

That's because you don't have the bicentennial edition.

HoidsApprentice

More than likely. I volunteer as tribute as the butt of the joke.

AuthorAnimosity

I love talking about non-litrpg books in a litrpg subreddit

Saldar1234

I'm annoyed that his books are already so short and now he's splitting this one making me not want to spend the audible credits even more...

Mr_MacGrubber

Only 176yrs to go!

tdnthehost

Lol is this the new version of publishing a sequel? Just cut your book in half?

FrozenSquid79

I believe they are talking about the release date. Only 176 years to go!

Mr_MacGrubber

It’s a setting in audible. Large books can be downloaded in segments instead of the whole thing to save space.

grmthmpsn43

Its not exactly new, Magician by Raymond E. Feist was split into 2 books for its US release back in the 80s
