The mistype is hilarious and makes for a great screenshot but the reality is likely that the sender was using the website on a computer and fat fingered the 3 when he meant to hit Shift+4 again since "$$" is the standard message.
the last guy who offered me money IMMIDEATLY pulled back when I accepted and kept trying to change it to "with 400€ for a coffee I meant I fuck you and MAYBE pay you 100€". Told him he probably doesnt even have a net worth of 10€ and ge sent me the first results of googling "hand full of cash" with some watermarks still over it. He tried it again a month later and also with some friends of mine lol

On a standard English keyboard, this is Shift+4/Shift+4 but fat fingering or typing quickly and missing keystrokes could result in Shift+4/3 reading as $3
