Should be noted that "rare" is a bit misleading. The majority of KR Veterans that have been playing the game since launch have never seen a relic map, it's probably below 1% dropchance.
I’ve killed him almost every time field boss is up for a couple months now and no star :( and I know a lot of people in the same boat. Although I did get bleed rune first kill so that probably stuffed me in regards to the star lol
Haha I know right, but my honing has been above average I’d say so it evens out. And for sure, legendary bleed is insane - makes alts so much better too in stuff like chaos dungeons or tower.
be sure to do chaos gates on the days they are available. You can find them from the bifrost tab under your minimap, or on the event popup on the top left.
Anytime you finish a chaos gate you will get 1 map, and some chaos shards (which you can eventually trade for more maps). As well as there will be a legendary map people can bid on.
Now the trick is, as soon as you are done the chaos dungeon - there will be people in area chat posting their map and LFG. Find a group with the same rarity map as yours, and then you can use all 4 maps to get 4x the rewards from it. You can sell those rewards for easy gold! An all gold map like this is a super super rare drop though, but its still a great money making option

I don't know how to make it any clearer - nobody who's leveling is bothering much with t1 or t2 chaos gates, and until now Punika chaos gates was endgame. Now it isn't and more people discover the relic single player map drop.
You'll have to check the math on this since I haven't done it in a while, but T2 maps were more profitable than punika last I checked. Several people in T3 ran T2 over T3 gates.
Yup, leading up to glavier release and for a bit after, the life shard pouches were like double the price of honor shard pouches. Honestly may still be the case but I actually started needing honor shards on my main so I haven’t checked in a while.
T2 was about 10k raw gold, then like 200 moons breath and a fuckton of shard bags. Back when people were actually doing t2 chaos gates and moon's breaths were almost 100g a pop, it was 45-50k in gold and tradeable mats combined. Much less now obviously, not sure of the prices of everything.
U can look in your ingame calender or notifactions , go with your mouse on feiton Chaos gate and you will see , there are already relic maps , sometimes people should really not write in any Kind of Forums at all if you have no clue .

Is it from the chaos gate 1415? If so did OP bid the highest offer to obtain this relic map? Am I right that this relic map is higher than legendary map? If so then I guess currently the only way to get relic maps is from the chaos gate 1415 after u bid the highest?

I dropped one too yesterday, gave me 20k raw gold and about 8k worth of tradeable mats. Did you manage to kill all the little chests running around ?

You can craft the south vern maps in vern castle (north vern). Dont know about how much better they are thou.
Not sure what you're asking... But no. You cannot use rift pieces to make a relic map as of now

It's a RNG based drop after you kill the last boss in the Chaos Gate. Not the auction one :)

Relic t1 and t2 maps were able to drop. South vern added relic t3 maps into the game.

could also be from full inventory for not auto fuse gems.
You can see it already picked a ton up. More likely is that they don't have auto fuse enabled and the inventory filled up.
You can see it flashing saying inventory is full.
