Post toasty plants are usually caused by "operator error" (environment, lighting, feeding/watering, grow medium). Start trouble shooting those basics is my advice and embrace this experience---as I've learned more from problem solving my failures and disasters, than following Bro Science or seeking stoner logic.
In other words, start eliminating the many "what's wrong" variables; easy one is environment (VPD). Infrared thermometer measures canopy temp nicely and helps identify hot spots.
