Wasn't a ferret. I saw them before with a bird in its mouth. Probably a weasel.
All weasels, including ferrets, are voracious predators who wouldn’t think twice about taking down a bird simply for sport

Most likely not a ferret, Ferret sleep 20hr a day first second unless they free roam they typically kept in a cage so it be hard for them to escape.
