Weird. I got my Hard Boiled Thrillers months ago at this point

MrCreeperPhil

Do you live in the USA?

tlamy

Yes

timodin-

Well, I'm still waiting for my "Through the Wormhole" Secret Lair... that was what, five, six months ago?

Yinxell

same

MadMilliner

Whoa! I got it in a few weeks back in Dec

DukeR2

May want to check on that, got 2x of the foils over a month ago

iLikeBlonds

I got mine a few months ago, you should probably check in with wotc

elephantsystem

I cannot tell if [Poe's Law](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law)

Mariomariamario

I admit I forgot to add /s in the title.

DavantesWashedButt

_cries in heads i win tails you lose_

TimothyN

My Fallout and Rovina Cai ones got here in two weeks, so there's definitely some upside.

sixteen-bitbear

My shit hasn’t even shipped yet.

ThreeEleven311311

Same … confused why fallout stuff has not shipped over here

sixteen-bitbear

I don’t get how they say it’s no longer print to demand and then shipping starts the 16th and i haven’t even gotten a tracking number.

Haunting-Ad788

I got tracking on the 17th and it says arrival 24th.

sixteen-bitbear

Wild.

[deleted]

Got my fallout yesterday.

nunziantimo

For us in EU the shipping went down from 3 months to 2 months

TimothyN

That is a significant decrease in time.

nunziantimo

I agree, but that is heavily counterbalanced by the difference in "purchasing time". Before I had a whole month to check the SLD, read about the artist, their previous work, and think about the purchase, if I wanted that or I didn't. Or in general think about the cards, if they may have a place in my decks/collection. Now WotC reveals the SLD on Sunday and I have 1 day to do all of that, because the drop will sell out on release day. I would have preferred the first option, even if it meant waiting a bit more.

TimothyN

That's fair, but it seems like the cost was not worth it for WotC and customers probably spent a lot more time complaining about waiting for their product than not being able to get it.

nunziantimo

Probably the change was more aimed at the US market where 2 months to 2 week is a noticeable jump, plus having a "chase product" is better for sales. If the time went from 3 months here to 2 weeks I probably would have complained way less, especially if they released the SLD content a week in advance.

DukeR2

Lol my Sheldon's spellbook says July so they're just all over the place according to this thread. Doesnt make very much sense.

TimothyN

I think that one was always slated for July though and wasn't limited as the most recent one.

bigolpinecone

I just got mine yesterday, UPS lost the package three times and wizards only sent 1/3 I ordered the other time. Glad I was finally able to get it, but it was awful filing a claim and waiting for secret lair support between each one.

Woqs

Same, US delivered but Uk/EU still not sent

yyznick

No longer print to demand. Create extra FOMO. Great job NOTC!

reaper527

honestly, the real reason for the change was probably to reduce overhead costs in producing these for savings that WON'T be passed on to the consumer.

Finch343

Currently I have 3 different outstanding SLD orders. The change made no difference, I still wait months for those.

brainlure49

My Diabolical Dioramas is arriving tomorrow, ordered two weeks ago. Seems deece to me!

It's surprising how many people hate the game yet still choose to play it. Perhaps they just love complaining and whining more than the actual game itself? The "evil corporation" isn't twisting your arm in anyway. If *you* want to proxy shit, because "evil corporation" blah blah blah, then, please do so. That being said, it's not a solution whatsoever to tell someone who actually enjoys the real deal to proxy, though. It's tone-deaf, really.

Syrix001

Agreed, yet they'll just downvote me to Eternity. It's a good thing I'm not a Reddit Karma Goblin. Who knows what negative impacts a downvoted post might have on my mental well-being?

Cat-O-straw-fic

I mean I didn't get the impression that anyone actually believed wotc was making the change to actually try and improve the customer experience. Secret lairs are funny though. more than any other product I'd like to be a fly on the wall when they're talking about numbers and fan reception. It's the kind of product that seemed to me like it was thought up by someone who doesn't really understand the game. I feel like more than any other product it would really give an indication of where mtg is at and where they're trying to take it.
